NOT the same engine as the Ruckus. Bore/Stroke is 39.5mm x 40.3mm. Ruckus is 37.8mm x 44.0mm Both are liquid cooled. Incidentally, MSRP is $2649 (in California) and they are not exactly selling like hot cakes. I got mine 05/23/24 for $3111 out the door. Scooter, tax, registration, fees etc. Local dealer was looking for $800 Additional Dealer Markup. I asked if I could get some of the stuff he was smoking but he declined.
I love your reply to the dealer. I was looking for a new Honda back in the end of 2022. The dealer offered me 7% loan. I said nope that wouldn't do, you gotta lower it to 4 or 5 (that I would get from a bank, or less if smaller banks). He walked back and forth and each time lowered it by 0.1%. Plus told me there's gonna be a $10k mark up. I laughed in his face and walked out. Got a new used car for a much better value.
I’ve been riding since I was eight! Everything between a Honda Z50 and a Valkyrie.. I’m 59 and now own a 24’ ADV 160 and love it. Would love to own a Ruckus also.
I can see how you say they are a stripped down metropolitan... 2 Of my friends have a honda ruckus... But i'm looking at getting myself 24 Metropolitan.
Question loving the retro look of this scooter does it need a license plate and a license to drive this I’m trying to get one for my son to go to school
@@slowridersmotovlog201 Yes, Dan... it's too bad because spendable income just isn't where it used to be in years past. They are preventing new young riders from getting into the sport. The manufacturers are cutting off their future with this kind of marketing. They should be doing the opposite so that they get new young riders that, as the grow, will be willing to spend more on a bigger bike in the future. Gord
They're cool little retro-looking scooters with Honda build and reliability. Great runaround scooter.
Honda does make a great little scooters
4:25, that’s a hook for plastic grocery bags. Pretty cool.

Seems like a very fun little ride
A Rukus is stupid. Its a stripped down Metropolitan It does however have better headlights.

Those are so cute. Perfect for single riding.
Definitely a fun little ride.
Still ride my 2005 Metropolitan daily. Currenty 63,877 miles.
That's impressive for a light ride! I can see the reason for your strong support.

Good review. Nice scooter.
Thanks! 👍

Depending on what state you live in. In Maryland just a just the drivers license or a scooter permit and it takes no tag. It’s just a little sticker.
i like those metros
Thanks Dan. Looks more like an $1800 machine to me. Can't see spending over $3000 for this.
Nice short review, just the same.😊

Definitely some of these smaller bike are over priced.

You get what you pay for This metropolitan can be passed to numerous generations.
I was going to buy one of these last spring.. Then I sat on one. The handlebars hit me in the knees when barely turning them. Dream crushed…lol
I was surprised it was a little more roomy then I thought.
I'm 6'3 bout 260.. what's the chances of this going well for me? Not sure now I didn't think of that problem

Do you like it more than the Honda ruckus? Which model is better
The ruckus feels more comfortable but the speed is the same. I definitely like the retro style of the scooter.
@@slowridersmotovlog201 that's awesome, I too like the retro look 🌻
Rukus is just stripped down Metropolitan.
what are the differences between 2023 and 2024?
Just color I’m guessing
Absolutely nothing,just color
No room for my legs on the Giorno! Way too small for me-no way to steer!
😍😍😍😍😍😍🛵
