i always thought that x training is good because u get aerobic without getting ur muscle being destroyed.
It's true about the running watch, even I've become a slave to it.
If the 8 mile hike after a 13mi run has a lot of elevation, wouldn't that being it closer to 13mi of effort, or are you saying hike the extra 5 miles to reach 13 miles to not cheat yourself if it's a good day for it and you're conditioned? 😅
I think the message is that it is a significant overtraining.
