The reason the stick snapped in half at the end was actually because he chewed through it earlier, and then put some glue to hold it together.
As a musician, the drummer got hungry. I could edit this so that nobody else would ever know why it's top comment. I'm not going to, but I'd just like people who come across this to know that I could.
Ive been drumming for 8 years. For those who are unaware its from practicing before a show. They always bring a crocodile in as motivation to play properly. If you miss a note the crocodile will make it so youre missing a stick. Hope this helps!
@@drumanondo you know the beats you do on the rim to double speed? You youse the rim as balanceground and whipping the Stick up and down on that. On the crash/high hats you use head or shoulder of the Stick, not the middle
As a drummer this usually only happens to experienced players. It’s when they hit the snare in the exact same spot whilst doing rim shots. It never use to happen to me untill recently. I am not a pro but I have seen that this usually happens to skilled players

As a vocalist I can tell you that when you're not around the instrument we play aggressively with the instruments to check if they can be played on stage and hold up through out the whole concert so it's probably the doing of an unskilled and over enthusiastic singer

Drummer here (25+ years). It's B. When the tip is centered on the snare head, the shredded/cracked part aligns perfectly with the rim. These are essentially tons of mini cracks which ends uo shredding that spot. Cymbal strkes will often straight up remove wood from the stick, not leave it on. The stick does not typically get multiple cracks in a concentrated area from cymbal contact. To do a successful rimshot, the snare needs to be hit both on the skin and the rim at the same time in a sweet spot, pretty well where he places the stick. His cymbal positioning suggests that the plays both the ride and hi-hat high, but for leverage, he likely wouldn't use the shaft to strike the cymbals. For energy conservation and best sound, drummers normally use the shoulder of the stick to hit the rim of the cymbal or hi-hat, also eliminating A and C. All 3 would lead to the stick breaking eventually, but this specific wear is mainly due to rimshots.
As a backup guitarist, I’ve witnessed these 2 things only once. He either got hungry mid session and took a few nibbles, or the bassist screwed up and he chucked it at him.
Even as a new drummer, I get as hungry as the pros. We chew on our sticks like jawbreakers, having them for a certain amount of time, and saving it for later.
Ok so this rule actually applies to guitarists as well! When you finish play that eruption solo you get hungry from exerting your energy. So your best course of action is to munch on your pick! I hope I help any beginner guitarist!
