  • How Arturia is sounding with third filter, with a lot of other third filters :) I'm testing how Arturia working with different eurorack filters from Korg MS20, Roland Jupiter 6, Roland SH101, Oberheim SEM, Prophet 6, Polikvoks and Prophet 5. Also Three Sisters filter checking.
This is test from composer/producer to others composer/producers so don't expect engineer oscilloscope detailed test. I'm artist, not engineer so far :)
So here are full list of filters with same order as showing:
    1. Korgasmatron II from Intellijel - Korg MS20 filter,
    2. Doepfer A-106-5 SEM - Oberheim filter
    3. Jove80 from System 80 - Roland Jupiter 6, Roland SH101 filter,
    4. Curtis Filter from Dave Smith - Prophet 6 filter,
    5. Z2040 from TipTop - Prophet 5 rev 2 filter,
    6. Black Polivoks VCF from Erica Synth - Polivoks filter,
    7. Three Sisters from Mannequins
I used FabFilter L2 at the end of signal, since I thing loudness isn't most important factor here. No other effects.
Also, when I put to much resonance to duck the whole signal for not destroying your speakers, headphones. So, it isn't truth how Arturia is sound with max settings of resonance, because signal is ducked.
And sorry SEM presented is 12dB, not 6dB, sorry of that!
English is my second language, so sorry for mistakes. Hope you'll like it, not mistakes of course, but filters :)

It is hard question :) I have hate/love relationship with MatrixBrute. I think it is good for resampling and Tangerine Dream style from 70s. Also do pretty good modern stuff. But it is mono mostly. Good Steinerparker filter. Minimoog filter sounds like recorded minimoog on tape from 70s (I have two Minimoogs so dfferences are very clear - maybe I should do YT test :) ). Roland Xm is VA, not analog. Also it is polyphonic. There are couple demos on YT and I not quite like new ZEN technology (if it is same like in Roland Phantom and sounds mediocre). Also looks like very small improvement, if any, to ACB. So, you can have Xm in Roland Cloud easily for 19,95$ per month. Anyway you can try Roland Cloud before buy Xm, so you would know if Xm is for you. It is almost same sound, maybe 10% difference. Also Xm is powered battery which not looks like serious synth. Of course if you want to play some gigs it is great. MatrixBrute is serious, pro, mono synth. Also great ins/out, also I think with third filter it shines :) So, not sure what other synths you have. If they are mono, you should think poly now. There are quite couple old vintage polys near Xm range - Juno 6 which sound eat Xm alive, but also can be broken and need repair so it is risky. Little bit cheaper is new Hydrasynth. Fully digital, sounding cold as hell :), but pretty cool. So, maybe having Roland Cloud and Hydrasynth is good idea? Also in this price, even cheaper is new Modal Argon 8, worth to check.

@@TheMrFinalizer thanks my friend my synths are:
Virus ti polar, roland jd xa, Arp odyssey, Alesis ion (odyssey and Alesis already sold).
      Matrix attracts me a lot.

@@nomoonbanquet6460 So, I would seriously consider MatrixBrute. It should be nice addition since I think JD-XA is better than Xm. Virus is also great, I had two, love it. And MatrixBrute is more advanced that odyssey. But I slighty like more sound of odyssey than MatrixBrute. But in possibilities MatrixBrute is the king :)
