  • Here is my small, musical Roland SH101 Plugin Comparison. Despite Roland Jupiter X is massive synth it is still hiding plugin inside.
First track - Roland Cloud Zen Core SH101 engine
Second track - Roland Jupiter X thru XLR connections
Third track - TAL Bassline 101 - oldest, but still lovely and very good
Fourth track - Roland Cloud ACB - with two envelopes which are not available in original.
Which one you are prefer. Tell me in the comments. For me all are same good. I love them. There are small differences between them. For me with Jupiter X na Roland Cloud Zen Core are no differences at all.
Enjoy watching. Sorry for quality, but I still learning.

you deserve a lot more subscriptions, man (even if you don't do this for publicity, you have earned it), this world is frustratingly unfair, you composed a music theme named "Done" for a video game "Dying Light - The Following", I checked the composer name and that brought me to your channel, thank you for making my day ❤
    & of course, subscription "Done"

what exactly happens when you are producing music? cause the music which you produced for dying light was just , no words , it was very creative and out of the box , what went into your head during the production?

I need to do special video about that, since it is hard to tell in couple words. Good idea. Thanks!

Jupiter-X sounds a lot better than Zenology SH-101. I thought they'd sound the same, since they're both Zencore.

Great that this comaprison help you. For me Jupiter X has a great advantage because of sliders and knobs and for layers is just great out of the box.

@@TheMrFinalizer Sure does, I've been on the edge of buying one. What's stopped me from doing so is thinking,
why would I if the Zenology Expansions can do the same as the hardware? I've really been wondering if the Expansions and the
Jupiter-X do sound different. From what I've heard here, sounds like there's a difference. Any chance you can compare the Jupiter-X's
JP-8 sound engine vs the plugins vs Zenology Expansion?

@@XxChrisxXBedofRazors Sure, I can do that. I did once and it was similar. But it is one very interesting thing. There are no patches in Roland Cloud with JP8 above 108. But one of the best sound in Jupiter X with JP8 model is patch 109 - great fat Jupiter 8. I need to check that, maybe I miss something. But I'll do a movie with that.

I thought you hated the Jupiter X and now you’re playing one?! What changed?

I need to do special movie about it! I'm asking this question myself too :) Since I have also Roland Cloud and Zenealogy I should sell Jupiter X, but somehow Jupiter X is so inspiring - workflow, instant great patches (In Zenealogy you must open four instances of JP8 for example and manage them - it really much faster doing that in Jupiter X), also I like a way how it looks, really love (maybe only lights are too bright). Short answer - I'm Roland fanboy. Hate, love relationship :) It is better control with Zenealogy, but faster and very cool results in Jupiter X.

The Jupiter-X has 4x VCOs too, no one talks about this. The VCOs are still analog because it uses a digital to analog converter (DAC) to go from digital to analog to control the VCOs.
This synth has all of the Jupiter 8s strength and none of its weaknesses. I believe the X is going to be a modern classic once people fully understand what it is.

Pawel, look at the spec sheet from Sweetwater Music here:
      See section under “tech specs”:

You can also ask Roland for an even better explanation.

Pawel how do you get the speed? Is it just a tempo adjustment or are you playing very fast?

It is arpeggiator from Cubase. But this tempo isn't hard to play live if you practice.

Tal and roland acb crushes the zenology and jup x
The zencore based emulatins are a failure when it comes to accuracy , you can't even modulate the filter with noise (sh 101 ) , the jx expansion misses a sync setting etc..this is all due because of the zen core architecture which is basically the old pcm synth architecture + va waveforms and va filters and osc ,sync + a new x-mod setting..tha's all
The abm models is just a macro layer controlling the basic zencore engine , scaled zencore parameters and calibrated input gain for filters etc , it's just an adapted zen core engine .
I can't believe roland just ditched acb , it sounds so much better compared to zencore
