      I have 3 cats and I am getting a new kitty in 4 days. She is being held for me at the shelter. Such a cute little rescued girl, I cannot wait to get her. I need a cute name for her! My granddaughter is helping me to come up with one. My cats help me sew, as well. One of my cats meows at me until I put my sewing down, sit in the sewing chair, and snuggle with her, (when the chihuahua is not looking.)

    Thank you again for such a cute idea. I have the SE400 machine and yours is almost the same. I'm glad to see how to use the outline designs. I'm going to make those for Valentines day:) Do you have to use Pellon on the back of appliques?

    • @CleverDogDesigns
      @CleverDogDesigns  Před 7 lety

      You don't have to use heat n bond lite (the iron on stuff) if you use a thicker fabric like terry or fleece, but a thinner piece of fabric will need it as a stabilizer and to keep it looking flat when it is washed.

      @totallynotabot151 Před 5 lety +1

      It did not serve much of a purpose in this example. You can put stabilizer on top to prevent the embroidery stitching from sinking into the fabric and vanishing. When doing larger designs (instead of applique outlines) I use thicker water soluble stabilizer for that.

      Using a thread stand solved all my intermittent thread jamming problems. Matching the needle to your material & thread is another place to look.

    • @totallynotabot151
      @totallynotabot151 Před 5 lety +1

      Make sure the fabric is taut within the embroidery frame, i.e. NOT the way shown in this video. Use a new needle marked for machine embroidery. For stabilizer get Sulky's heavy water soluble one. It washes right out.
