What is the max size area this can heat? Is it limited to smaller chips as in the video or can that be adjusted. Can it be used to pull cpu size chip from mobo? Thanks for video. Great step in the right direction for those soldering.

Use a sunglasses
Yes. Def need to know the wavelength of the laser. Get the proper eyewear according to type of laser being used. Small mistake can lead to a lifetime of pain wrt to lasers!!
@@DouglasHeyen Well I would hope and assume that the microscope is not direct optical and that it is using a camera and a screen so you are not looking directly at the work through magnified optics

its not wls its LWS-301
Works like crap. Burns off OC so not good for replacement. Hot air uses convection from moving air to heat under and around the IC. A laser as cool as it seems can only heat the top.
