Aghhh.. I hate to say it but I kind of agree to an extent. I had this game preordered and recently canceled my preorder after seeing a ton of gameplay footage over the last few days.
After the premiere showcase of this game I was pumped but I was under the impression that they were going back to AC roots and getting rid of this engine. I assumed it was gonna be a modernized Unity engine so that's what got me excited. After seeing gameplay footage I was disappointed to see its the exact same engine as the last games. This looks like Valhalla DLC (which I found out it was supposed to be anyways) it's just not want I wanted or was expecting. I'll still eventually get it but not for full price. I've played enough Valhalla and this looks like more of the same. I just thought that old engine was so much better.
hopefully this will be able to strike the balance between the old games and the new stuff

@@turbroo7751no? The parkour is different, it's rpg based, you can't side jump, there's lot of jitter in the movement, the parkour targeting is bad, etc, you people like to talk sh|t about stuff you don't know

Besides the fact that there is nothing we havent seen before, its plot and locations seem to make it worth the payment once its price lowers exponentially like most Ubisoft games

1) nobody plays these games because they represent anything resembling “historical accuracy”.
2) there is MORE than enough circumstantial evidence amongst archeologists that suggests ancient civilizations may have been in contact with each other much earlier than previously speculated - specifically when it comes to Egypt and South America.
A “Mexican” assassins creed game makes just as much sense as a Norwegian/Pirate/English/Chinese/Spartan assassins creed game - which is to say “no sense at all, but who cares?” 🤷🏻♂️
@@drawmelikeafrenchgirl 1) historical accuracy was absolutely a big draw to the game. Obviously that didn’t mean following it to the T, but enough that you could suspend your disbelief.
2) people have traveled from England to China and everything in between for thousands of years, so it makes perfect sense when the conflict spreads to those places. There’s no conclusive evidence of any contact with the Americas besides Vinland

Negatory ghost rider.. I have never been a fan of linear progression. I became a fan of AC games after they embraced the open world concept. The early games were always boring to me, I don't see this as any different. The eye candy upgrade doesn't add any worth to the decision to go "throw back" with the game design at all. Watch it flop compared to the success of AC Rogue, Odyssey, Origins, and even Black Flag.

For someone who never delved into the recent RPG ones...this looks just like the same game again 🥲 Nothing new in gameplay and visuals look dated
Hard skip. Will stick with Baldurs Gate 3, Spider-Man 2 and Lies of P thanks. Ubisoft is just beyond repetitive and unoriginal af at this point. Phil Spencer is right, they just refuse to evolve and change. If Star Wars Outlaws and Avatar fails, I can guarantee they are finished as the company is already in trouble.
