Can you help me? I don’t know what routine to use for my hair… I have thick wavy hair and don’t know what to use or when to use it (morning or might idk)… can you please help me?
There's way more factors to consider than just product. When do you have time to actually do your hair? Do you have a good shampoo/conditioner combo to prevent your hair from drying? How often do you wash? How often do you want to do a curl routine? What's your maintenance budget? Finally, is there anything else that would be important to know like allergies or skin conditions? Write out your answers to these questions then go to a salon for a trim. Ask a stylist in person who is actually handling your hair. There's plenty who do $20-$30 (before tip, and yes, you should tip even for trims!) simple trims and can give you a trained opinion while looking at your hair. Never expect someone who hasn't seen your hair to know how to give you *GOOD* advice. That's no different than asking a doctor who makes educational videos to diagnose you in the comment section. No professional would do that.
I genuinely don't see a difference between the different types of products in different videos because it's so brushed out. It doesn't show if it helps hold a tighter curl, only that it doesn't look bad.🤷♀️

@@andreventurrrGuysss the girl in the vid has curly hair ! If she schrunch em curls then it will be 3A-3B hair but she brushes her curls out so they turn inte “light waves “
Why bother with all this when your hair is just... wavy? I have 3b curly hair and I do everything since I know I will have cute tight ringlets and look good. You won't.

@@Fighlvkf@Fighlvkf Uh, no. *MAYBE* she could develop into a 3a with different care, but *DEFINITELY NOT* 3b. I'll breakdown why and beg that you stop saying this in comment after comment. 1) She doesn't have a defined, consistent curl pattern at all. 2) Her curl doesn't start at the scalp! That's a hallmark of 2C hair and further down the curly spectrum! 3) Her hair isn't thick which could disguise this aspect *some*, but even her "typical wear" videos indicate that she doesn't deal with the frizz that comes with curls that are defined from 2C onward. Yes, there's a lot to be said for product to reduce that, but it's pretty clear that her hair isn't going to frizz out without product. So, while I agree that there should be no gatekeeping in curl management and styling, we also need to be respectful of those with 3B-4C (and even 2C) curly hair folks who get shit for their curls. It's a part of the population that often struggles to find good stylists who can cut to work with curls rather than just chopping them off while pulling the curl out. Now I'll admit this may be mostly the side of me that's an overprotective teacher of mixed but predominantly BIPOC students, but I fully understand the way someone with a defined curl could be annoyed with someone who is wavy/curly using products that really aren't meant for their hair and treating it like a trend rather than a longterm solution to maintain healthy natural curls. Yes, she brushed out the curls, but if she was a 3B, there would still be a defined curl. I have enough 2c-3c hair folks in my family to know that that curl doesn't brush out like that. It may frizz out if you try working it, but it's not turning into soft waves that starts 1-3 inches off the scalp. 2c-3b curls are defined and start at the scalp. Her hair isn't thick enough or long enough to pull out that curl either. So please, just stop claiming her hair is in the 3 range when it's very clearly not. There's nothing wrong with identifying her hair in the 2 range as "wavy/curly!" Its a type of curl, it's just not clearly defined and starting at the roots. And that's okay! Type 2s deserves good styling and curl maintenance too!
