We slept on these rollers or similar EVERY night. No one had hand held dryers, hot rollers, or curling irons. One friend I had in high school used soup cans (clean of course) to try to straighten her short very curly hair. Things have definitely improved for styling hair since the 1960's.
My mom was telling me that her grandmothers and aunts in Puerto Rico used to use the small Vienna sausage cans to curl their hair. The heat in Puerto Rico would help give curls. Hot rollers essentially lol.
Our great grandmas used pincurls, our grandmas used those brush rollers, my mom used orange juice can, I used hot rollers and now we’re coming around again!
I have thick hair, i do some hair relax, to straight it, so i use rollers, when i wash my hair, to get more volume, and sleep with it, its annoying sometimes, but my hair stays nice! 👍🤗!
This looks amazing! But aren’t hair rollers harmful for your hair strands? It looks like it strips your hair when taking them out? Please let me know because I’d love to try!
can you post a video of all of the products you use like what kind of hair spray and stuff like that thank you!! btw i now this is super late but could you do it because if u did do it i havent seen it ty!!!
Take care coz rollers pull ur hair from the sculp for a long time so after using them for 2/3 months u will notice that ur hair is getting thinner bthan b4 , thats my personal experience
Oh interesting I tried to do hair rollers years ago and wondered why my hair looked exactly the same as before, straight with curved ends That’s what these big rollers are supposed to do, thought they’d give me tighter curls😂
Sorry, I need to ask 😅 I saw you profile picture and it looks like you have really curly hair. So, you had straight hair and after menopause your hair became curly?
@@petramilanovic3434 Yes. I had pretty straight hair my whole life. Straight enough that I had to work to get any curl. Around 50, I started going through peri-menopause. I used to just wash my hair at night and let it air dry. I started noticing that it was getting sort of wavy and then wavier. I did some research and found a lot of info on curly hair so I changed some things in my routine and by the end of the year I ended up with the curls you see now. That was 6 years ago. I hear this is very common.
I have no idea what shes talking about, Im so ignorant in terms of hair...volumiser? Wha? Is that a thing? Whatever she uses works, her hair looks great
Basically roots or hair mousse volumniser is applied either to roots or just whole hair .. its made of polymers which don't allow the scalp to absorb excess moisture and helps hair to have the bouncy look :) Hope this helps
Velcro rollers never work for me. I do what your doing but with hot rollers. Then I actually have body and a little curl that lasts more than 1 minute.

But… how do you sleep with these?
I tried and my neck was sore the next day

Can you please do a video of the products you like, especially the mousse? And maybe the order you apply them?
the mousse is the Kristen Ess Instant Lift Volumizing Mousse
Great idea ❤
Can you post a video showing how you roll your hair thanks!
Instead of texturing stuff you can use redken big blowout, it's a heat protectant and adds texture too
Longer on the final shot also love to know what products to use. Gorgeous outcome gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous
How long do you keep them in?
But show us how to do it tho 😂

Definitely need to try a diff mousse for volume! I bought the Kenra one but it just hasn’t done much for me. This looks amazing.

May I ask what size rollers you use?
🥹 It’s so perfect
I’ve been trying to get your hair color for years! It’s gorgeous!!
chestnut brown or dark brown hair!!
My rollers always get stuck in my hair
Hi what type of rollers are you using here?
What exact hair spray do you use? I have one that feels so sticky and plasticky and i hate it!
I wish there was an influencer with short hair that can show us her hair tips. Any suggestions?
Where did u but then! Great vid ur hair came out so nice!

Omg i got a hair curler stuck in my hair today 😊
What size is your curlers ?
The real question is, do you roll from the bottom or from the top?
From where can i get these rollers
I got the jumbo rollers and I wish I got the smaller ones cause they really don't do anything 😭😭😭
cannot tell WHAT WAY THE CURLER WENT ON
XL do a lot for volume!
where do you get your tshirts?
Cute
I wish you would show how you prepare your hair before you put it into the rollers.
Where is your shirt from?
Hi where are the rollers from 🙂
Linked on my amazon store front on my Instagram🤍
What about extra long hair?
Take care coz rollers pull ur hair from the sculp for a long time so after using them for 2/3 months u will notice that ur hair is getting thinner bthan b4 , thats my personal experience
Yep and one should not be yanking out the roller in the manner she is doing for the same reason
What was the size in cm?
am ithe only one who accually didn’t struggle with this when I first started using them..💀
Oh interesting

I love the part where you showed you actually putting them in and not just talking a load of WHAM 😍
How do you sleep with those?? Don’t you get uncomfortable??
I watched the video where she proclaims that only half-rolling the hair like in the "before" photo produces the same result yesterday 😂
I remember before menopause when my hair was so straight and I used to roll my hair like that.

I need big rollers since my hair is very long
Need help with this
Wait but you can't sleep with them right? Or are there people that sleep with their head facing up??
You make it so easy to remove them 😅
Are you the girl from princess diaries??
I’m so glad my hair is naturally wavy and all I got to do twirl it up and it’s nicely curled without a bunch of product
I don't know why but you remind me a little of Lorelai Gilmore 😅❤
بنات كيف يزبط معهم زي هيك حاولت مرتين ومازبط ورشيت سبرية الي تعرف تحكيلي والله رح ادعيلها بالجنة

Do all that with hot rollers and it will take you a lot less time.

A major factor is that her hair is actually not that long. You cant t use rollers on very long hair.
Could you please do a slower tutorial on this? 🙂
that's way too much product and will weigh down your curls and flatten them, a mousse with heat protectant and hairspray is plenty.
Could have presented better
I used toilet paper tissue in county jail and it’s worked better than any rollers out here . Weird huh
Now try not ending every sentence with vocal fry
