IMO the husband isnt totally in the wrong but is a bit dumb, and the last part I think it was only wrong on the flipped side because she did have feelings for him and was trying to cheat on her husband, but he remained loyal to op but he did disrespect her boundaries so yeah counseling is good but idk he really seems to want to fix things and never cheated so I feel like he really loves op I think divorce would be taking it too far.

Uhm the husband basically manipulated, gaslighted and disrespected her. He knew what he was doing was wrong. He might not have f*cked her but he enabled the situation in which he knew is clearly wrong from the start considering how he felt guilty when OP arrived early for the gymbags or when he wouldn't even dare say it to the neighbor's husband. He even have the gal of lying by implying he did not know about the neighbor's feelings when he said that "Babe, you were right about neighbor, she admitted having blah blah blah" and then later on admitting that he suspected her having feelings for him and liked the attention -_- . Bet he'll be angry if his wife did what the neighbor did. Lol, him not trying to dissmis the neighbor's words of dissing and backstabbing OP is ABSOLUTELY NOT him trying to be the bigger person by not indulging the neighbor but HIM TRYING to maintain the situation of having the neighbor come and go to their home because he LIKED the situation. If he defended his wife, the neighbor would prolly stop and not even go beyond the boundary but no he lead the neighbor on He's 100% a professional gaslighter considering how he made himself a better person by showing his love to OP when he could in the very first place avoid it by not inviting a woman in your home regularly without your wife. Yes, he might not have cheated but he's not a good person not a green flag. The situation might not be something to call a divorce for because it's fixable but it screams "Girl, RUN" vibe😅
No guys come on, if you and I and any decent person knew our partner is uncomfortable with us being ALONE AT HOME WITH A FLIRTY STRANGER while they're at work, we would immediately cut it out. Especially if said flirty stranger made disparaging comments about them. I personally wouldn't let the person I love be emotionally hurt like that, especially in this type of suspicious situation.
