- A special collaboration with Eric Rhoads. This was aired LIVE on Eric's Art School Channel this week with lots of banter and a full tutorial of colour mixing and tonal values explanation. I was incredibly nervous beforehand as you never know how something will turn out. But I enjoyed it immensely as Eric was lovely and the painting and my description of what I was doing flowed well!

Oh my, Clare, the view from your studio window is incredible! The lemons painting as well. I missed this the live presentation. It’s about a year later. I’m binge watching plein air painters now because weather in my area of the USA is dreadful. Your technique of big brushes, darks first, big shapes, attention to value, color, and finally details is also my standard. Your personality is infectious, and it’s fun to watch you paint and explain your process. Thanks!

Thank you Clare. I’ve watched all your videos…you are so inspiring, pleasant and thorough. A few of my best paintings are of lemons. To keep them fresh for months, I wrap in paper towel, place in glass tube shaped jar and place in fridge. That way I always have them for my still life’s. Thanks to Mr. B as well.
