- What happens if you eat a bag of potato chips daily for a month? You'll be surprised what researchers found when they got volunteers to eat a big bag of potato chips every day for a month - do you think they will put on weight? will their blood cholesterol, blood pressure and blood sugar go up? Will the levels of acrylamide and biomarkers of inflammation and oxidative stress go up if they eat a big of potato chips, high in acrylamide, every day for a month?

I look at a bag of potatoe chips and I see a bag of garbage.
i actually have a potato chip snacking habit.. this video changed my mind about continuing this
Yes, we should be Mindful, but Not Fearful of even the clearly unhealthy foods, but focus on building a preference for and a habit of choosing and actually enjoying healthy foods. Blessings, Dr Chan

I gave you the _100th 'like'👍🏼_
I agree with you.
Glad you found it useful. Blessings, Dr Chan
I assume it must matter what kind of potato chips, and what type of oil they were fried in. And I'd bet air fried chips would actually be good for you! How are the acrylamides created? Is it only the oil, or would simply air charring chips do it too?
One of the most important factors to acrylamide formation is the use of High temperature in cooking, such as frying, roasting, or baking, is most likely to cause acrylamide formation. Boiling and steaming do not typically form acrylamide.
@@TheHabitsDoctorok, thanks. So probably merely dehydrating potato slices is fine, along with low temp air frying is best.
lol depends also on teh size of the bag and what chips :D
Yes, but we don't know do we? But what I know is if I follow the guidelines of many influencers on here and eat lots and lots of vegetables on here I end up on the toilet all day. Eat raw garlic? That's another clever idea that just burns your mouth as does drinking cider vinegar rot my stomach and I'll tell you what? I don't find cayenne anti-inflammatory at all quite the opposite. In other words, I don't have to wait and see how good all this so-called wonderful food is doing me. Now don't get me wrong, I don't eat hardly any processed food especially not crisps but that's not the point. I hope you get my drift..
Potato chips are worse than cigarettes.
No, they're not. Stop listening to the clown who said this
Explain how... Why?🤔
