What Is Sexual Trauma?

We often over-simplify what constitutes as "sexual trauma." And far too often, we address the issues and problem of unwanted sexual behaviors but miss out on the need to heal the trauma caused by that behavior.

thank you for validating that it can be childhood curiosity/teasing ones body that can lead to sexual trauma. I had both of these when i was young.

I feel like the “obligation sex” message causes trauma. If a wife has sex out of duty and not desire, it causes trauma. I feel like Christian resources need to stop pushing the obligation sex message. It’s destroying intimacy and marriages.
