We run a 65 gallon tractor supply leg tank with a 5.0 gpm and Gen 3 12 volt system. In 2019 our first year we completed 118 projects and 3 homes would not keep up. 2 were in a rural area and 1 was kn the city at the top of a hill. Great video and advice.
My setting up the same rig 4gpm with a soft wash but im out in well water country should i do a 35 or 65?? i have a t Tractor Supply right down the street
Always love your videos! We run 525 also! It has saved our rear-end multiple times on low-flow locations! Great video and found the survey very interesting!
I’m just starting and running a single 4GPM machine. My concerns are mostly about using a buffer tank so I don’t have to shut off the washer while I’m off the gun to avoid damaging the pump. I have a VERY small trailer and wondered what size buffer tank you would recommend?
I have a Pressure Pro 4000 psi 4 GPM. I just hooked up a 35 gallon tank in my trailer and did a bypass from my pump into the trailer I find when I am not pulling the trigger on the wand it fills up very quickly so I leave the valve open to empty. This is the only thing I’m using it for to keep the pump cool. I would love to hook it up with a float and directly feeding my pressure washer but wouldn’t it empty too quickly and I would be without water and burn my pump up. I really need to help with this what’s your thoughts? Thanks
I have a 450liter (118gal) and it's absolutely too much for me. In my area, flow from customer spigots is great. If I could roll back, I'd get like a 30 gallon. It depends on where you operate, so pick what you need.
@@Cleanpowerwash Just a small fish, single 5.5gpm setup. Again, as you stated in the video, if you have more pumps then a bigger buffer might be good. But for me, in my area if I open a customer's tap fully and put my hand in front of it, it really hurts. That flow is plenty enough even without much of a buffer.
@@Cleanpowerwash ya I worked for company 1000 gal tank but it was 200 trailers inside out and rails and 100 plus tractors we used fire hydrants onsite just wondering
Hi, Is there a difference when using a belt drive vs direct drive with a buffer / water tank? I have a 4000 psi @ 4.0 gpm but will up grade to a 5.5 gpm. I would like to know which correct size buffer tank should be ideal for both pressure washer. I know you're a bigger company and need the bigger units. I'm just a one man crew but my son does help me once awhile. Any information would be appreciated.
Thank you just found a 300 gallon tank for my trailer build

Thank you Rob! 👍🏼
Great video. Thank you.
Dude you are awesome
Years from now, these shirts (YT power washing guys wear) will be like mullets. Only the coolest of retro guys will be able to still pull it off.
Lol. I love the attention they generate
I have 200 gallon water tank 100 gallon chem and 30 gallon soap tanks and it works good 4 gpm pressure washer
And 12 volt fatboy pump 7 gpm.
I use a 1000L tank running running 2x 5.5gpm pumps. And I use a fatboy to apply soap.
Nice, will i be able too run a 4 gpm belt with a 35 gal tank 3/4" fitting and feed hose?
Probably
@@Cleanpowerwash Thanks man, guess probably is better than nope lol :)

50 is the smallest that I would use. It will be temporary either way.
@@Cleanpowerwash
Temporary?
You will upgrade your trailer and machine soon so this will just be a temporary set up
@@Cleanpowerwash
Gotcha! Thank you !
I have a belt drive pressure pro 4000psi 4gpm and I run a 65 gallon tank from Tractor Supply. it works great 2 to 3 houses a year that can't keep up
Yeah at 4gpm it should be fine unless you are washing in a trailer park
@@Cleanpowerwash 😂🤣
Do you wash semi trucks?

With 4 gpm it should be fine. As long as your supply flow is greater than or close to your draw rate
Would u go with a 35 again im in the country i think i might need a 65
Can I make a 55Gallon buffer tank mobile to service homes on a area high in cabins, accessible only by boat, hence being mobile on a dolly?
Using a 5gpm pressure washer

How many machines and gpm are you pulling?

That is awesome to have good flow
@clean power wash LLC are you looking to donate or sell any of those tanks? I need an SH tank ASAP. I’m located in Virginia
What size?
Clean Power Wash LLC 50-60 gallons. I just emailed you
hey, man, do you remember me I used to go by crow?
Not really. Why?
Where do people that fleet wash fill up
Either onsite or they bring HUGE tanks

Ibc totes are the easiest. 100gallon buffer is the smallest I would recommend.

Got it, 100 gallon buffer tank.
Would i need a buffer tank for a direct drive pressure washer? Or only for a belt drive?
Don’t need big tanks if your not traveling with water
Traveling with water has nothing to do with what size tanks you use. Being able to sufficiently supply your machines with water is the priority.
