    There's a big difference between knowing how to do something and being able to both do it and speak it into words, cementing it as knowledge. Great video.

    Couple of my mo'opunas had a wonderful experiences learning about the Kalo when they went on a field trip when attending Kamehameha preschool 😊 they learned cleaning & planting the taro!
    Now my mo'opunas are in high school & have never forgotten the Reppun farms 🤙❤
    Reppun brothers are such awesome stewards of the Aina! With the love & care to keep their farms organic is totally wonderful!
    Hard working Reppun With so much humility & Aloha 😊❤

    Can someone answer my question? My dad bought me some baby taro roots, but I haven’t gotten around to cooking them yet. I want to cook them today. However, it looks like two have produced shoots! I don’t remember seeing shoots on any of them when my dad first gave them to me. May 18th is when my dad gave them to me, and it is now May 31st. If I cut off the shoot parts, would it be safe to eat? Or should I just throw them into the compost pail, uneaten? I’ve heard that Irish potatoes that have sprouted should have the sprouts cut off before eating. Do taro root shoots make the entire taro root toxic? Or are just the shoots themselves toxic? Or are the shoots nontoxic?

      Nothing about the Taro root is toxic besides if you eat it raw it will cause itchiness in the throat or body. Taro is hypoallergenic, no one in this world is allergic to taro.

    • @kiliwena1373
      @kiliwena1373 Před 3 lety

      I think what you mean to say is you were given Taro corms, which are now growing huli, which is the stalk which can be cut and planted to propagate more Taro plants.

    • @kiliwena1373
      @kiliwena1373 Před 3 lety

      The stalks/shoots are not eaten, only used to replant.
