The game generally has some pretty bad latin, which makes it even harder to understand, but:
"Pandemonium regnat Satani vitae" would roughly translate to "Pandemonium reigns over Satan's lives". Although it's probably a mistranslation from "Chaos reigns, Satan lives", which you could really picture the creepy 8-bit voices of the game saying!
Longer explanation: _Regnat_ is the only verb in the sentence, and it's in the third person singular. In order for _Vitae_ to be the subject, it'd have to be in the nominative plural, but it doesn't correlate with the verb. _Satani_ has the exact same issue. Therefore, _Pandemonium_ must be in the nominative singular case, making it the subject of the sentence.
So far we've got: _Pandemonium reigns,_ but we still have to figure out what _Satani Vitae_ means. Satani is actually a made up word, since "Satan" is normally non-declensible and "Satanas" doesn't have any forms that end in -i. Going with gut feeling a bit, I presume they end up using Satan as a 2nd declension noun in the genitive singular or nominative plural, but "Satan" in plural makes no sense, meaning it must be the genitive singular. This is where we get the possesive "Satan's", and the only word left is Vitae, which as a nominative plural can serve as the nucleus of the structure "Satan's lives", therefore: "Pandemonium/Chaos reigns Satan's lives" (Or rather, reigns [over], to make the sentence nicer).
My latin is very rusty since leaving high school and the fact this looks like google translate Latin made it a lot harder... Oh, and I also studied latin in spanish, so I hope it at least makes some sense! I had to look up most of the terminology to make sure I was using the right words for stuff.
Thank you sooo much! Always curious of how accurate Goog's latin is
@@gebbygeb3547 my pleasure! It's always nice using some of those 4 years of latin I had in my teens lol. Google is pretty unreliable for Latin; most of the time it looks like some kind of scuffed Italian. Wiktionary is pretty helpful for the meaning of individual words, though, since it also tells you how the word is conjugated. If you know anything about syntax looking up what each case is used for makes it a pretty simple task to at least figure out the meaning of a sentence through context. This sentence, however, was quite the chore because it doesn't make a lot of sense haha.
would u recommend learning latin? i mean it’s a dead language but…
@@diavolosteddy7594 For the average person, no. If you're interested, go for it, don't let anything stop you.
I actually learned latin because in my school it was a mandatory subject. I'm from Argentina and went to a fairly prestigious school that actually required me to take 10 exams during 7th grade and place among the top 480 to get in. It kinda feels like going to Hogwarts, but way lamer lol. I will say that I did not enjoy it (learning latin) very much, since there was a lot of pressure learning tons of stuff very quickly, but there's a lot of people online that have shared their passion for latin too.
There's no clear cut answer:
Is it practical? Barely, it has some rare uses for law and certain terminology. It can help you understand where some words come from and give you a more comprehensive outlook on language.
Is it worth it? As long as you find it fun and engaging, absolutely. It's like solving a puzzle pretty much. It's also pretty cool to be able to fulfill the niche role of "the guy that knows latin", though again, I'm personally super rusty; back in 2019 I remember reading a pretty long sentence for an exam and knowing the meaning instantly but translating the sentence in the original comment took me about 40min (and it's 4 words lol, despite the janky latin, it would have taken no time back then).
Underrated???
All right we got, fog child, fetus lizard, cone hat looking fella, the pentagram man, and tree dude
Makes sense lol
It took this man 15 minutes to figure out that 2 AM puzzle, and I am not convinced that he actually figured it out, but rather had dumb luck and just stumbled on it.
I’m excited for you to play chapter 3 you always manage to make me laugh lol
Keep up the work and don’t let anyone push you down always look forward at the day because anything can happen that can bring joy or surprises high hopes up

MORTIS is a direct latin translation for "death" it's just saying you died in latin💀
oops HAHHAHA I DIDNT KNOW THAT LOL
It's actually the sigular genitive case for death; direct translation would be "mors", being the singular nominative case. I don't know exactly why it's in the genitive case in the first place, since genitives are most commonly used as modifiers in syntax. Probably because it sounds better.
@@lucianoariasduval ok now explain that like i’m three years old
@@diavolosteddy7594 In latin, nouns have different cases, like german. In the same way you have to use different tenses on verbs to convey time properly, you have to use the proper case on nouns and adjectives to know what they mean in a sentence. "Mors" and "Mortis" are the same noun in different cases; nominative and genitive respectively. Nominatives are the "basic" nouns pretty much and they usually are the focus of most elements in a sentence. If I said "death is everywhere", in latin, death would be in the nominative case. Genitive is used as a modifier, most often for possessives; something like "Death's door" or "The smell of death" would both have death in the genitive case. Door and smell would both be nominatives... I don't think any 3yo would understand this, but I hope it's enough. lol
@@lucianoariasduval thank you lol
actually after replying to you i took it upon myself to research about the cases and stuff because it was really bugging me
i wish i’d read ur reply first tho cos u managed to explain it way clearer than half the stuff i read lol

Right up down left proceeds to go right up up left.... its not that hard... is this for content or is some cognitive exercises in order?
This guy has like 40 brain cells total, and all of them were expended in the first 10 minutes
I'm wondering the same thing? I mean this guys plays video games for a living and manages multiple media accounts. He cannot be this dumb right? It took him over 15 minutes to realize that the paper in the basement resembled a clock with symbols instead of numbers, and he just solves the puzzle instead by guessing his way through?
I feel pretty confident saying that he does this for content and/or to make his streams last longer for his audience. Not only does he spend a great amount of time being stuck at puzzles, notice how he also just fidgets with his cross at random things (even when there isn't a note there), chooses to walk unconventional paths to the way he is going, bumps into corners, circle certain objects and also generally makes alot of jokes about stuff instead of continuing where he needs to be going, even when it is very clear that the newly found route is more exciting and that the viewer would rather watch Reapz go there. I don't blame him for it, but I believe Reapz is very aware of what he is doing, and does so in order to gain longer content. I see no other possible way.
