- I bought my Dad the 2 Stroke of his dreams and in this video i'm surprising him with the one dirt bike that he's always wanted but has never been able to own...until now!
Just in time for Christmas I wanted to give my old man a very special gift for passing on his lifelong passion for motorcycles, premix and good times. Where would we be without our Dads ay?! Get ready because this gets emotional!
A big thanks and shoutout must go to Roland Shaw of Hardcore Racing and to Steve from SteveLin Motorcycles for helping me with this surprise :D
This super-rare 1987 Suzuki TS250X is a 34-year-old piece of history. There's only a handful of these things left in the UK and there's certainly not another one that looks anything like this beauty. Believe it or not this bike has never been restored, yet she remains in near mint condition with only 2,600 miles on the clock.
She's an absoloute stunner, but she was made to hit the dirt. What do you guys think, should we have some fun and add a load of hardcore off-road miles to the TS? Or should we keep her mint? Let me know in the comments below! :-)
Thanks for watching guys, this video is dedicated to all the motorcycling fathers and sons around the world. There's no bond like it. - Sport
This made my day! I would kill to do this for my dad unfortunately he passed in 08. He owned a 1986 cr250 just like Rick Johnson back in the 90s. He ended up selling it when I was 5 (1995) to buy me my first bike, a 96 Honda xr50r. Got me in tears man! amazing video!
Get one and restore it anyways!
Thanks for watching dude, i'm so glad you enjoyed it. What a man, i bet you loved that XR more than anything. Thanks again dude
@@999lazer It ended up my sons first bike! np man its easy when the content is so good!
Think ull like my link mate ,
@@999lazer I don't think these were sold in here in Ireland.. NEVER seen a 125cc model and as far as the 250cc is concerned I have only ever seen 1....although we did get the 80cc model
Your Dad is 2years younger than me, if l had a Son that has done what you have done. I would be so proud !
You're killing it !!!
Thanks a lot Scotty mate, means a lot! :D
Dear Lord that TS is an absolute stunner. Good on ya for gifting it to your dad. Two stroke perfection. I’ve been restoring a 1974 RD350 and love to blow blue smoke on the daily. If it ain’t smokin It’s broken. Peace 💨✌️
Fantastic. Lucky Dad. I always wanted one of those but ended up getting a kmx200 then went on to big singles with a Dr600 and have owned 600 + thumpers ever since. Can't beat an old school 2 stroke 👍
You certainly can't! Thanks for taking the time to watch dude :D
I know exactly how your dad feels about a dream bike from back in the day. Although I was always into dirt bikes, I had a passion for a Suzuki RG500, just because they were a cool race bike for the road. I finally got one two years ago and although it’s old tech, it is still as cool to me as when they came out. It just puts a smile on my face, ear to ear every time I see it in the garage, let alone when I ride it. The only thing is, my son didn’t buy it for me! Good on you Max for doing that for your dad.👍
What a great video max, a lovely thing to do for the old man. I had a ts250 once but sadly ran it into the ground!. I better start dropping some hints to my son about me wanting a cr500 😆. Keep up the good work and have a great Christmas 👍🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Thank you Nathan, have a great Christmas mate!
Well done! My dad passed in '08, this brought tears to my eyes. Cherish every moment. Merry Christmas.
My mate had a MINT ts250x in 1996, it was born to be in the dirt more than the tarmac, extremely TOUGH with thick ass forks and swing arm, big beefy unbreakable billet alloy, and it'd pull anyone over a field at 75mph, must be worth a small fortune now, what a lucky dad 🍀, you're a fantastic son mate 👍 🇬🇧
Today you changed the life of a loved one in a positive way. 💪
Doing something for others they can't (or won't) do for themselves but want to, is epic. 🔥
Thanks for posting.
and thank you for watching dude! much appreciated :-D
Supercool that your dad owned a TS50X! I own 3 of them for the same reason as your dad! Pure freedom. Love it!
Showing him the keys and I tear up. Awesome story!!
Your Dad is a great guy, cherish him. What a great way to give back. A bit of gentle laning won't hurt the old girl.
Great, great video lads !!
I rode with ya dad on his first Rm 80
I was on a borrowed Xr 75 .... great memories !!
If he wants to get the 250X muddy...I'll join him on my crm 😉
That's so awesome! Thanks for taking the time to watch Malc :-)
You are a total legend mate. Amazing thing you done there😊
Got the tears welling up in my eyes buddy I'd love to do something like this for my dad... fair play 👍
Thanks for watching Michael! I felt very lucky to have the opportunity to do this for him!
Jesus I've never seen a lad look so much like his dad, well done bud love the Chanel respect 👏👏🤙
Boy whatta great story..I was was 13 in 1982 ..in 1981 the rm80 was still the bike to have what a ripper..your dad and I are two of a kind..he and fell in love early with dirt bikes ..so glad to see this
Thanks for taking the time to watch Craig! :-D
OMG … I am a lifetime dirt biker since 1970 when I was 16 years old. I have always favored Suzukis also and it started with a 1970 TC-90. That 250X is freaking SWEET ! Never even heard or seen one here in the USA. You are a great Son … Sadly I never had kids to live the dream with … kudos to you and your Dad
Wow mate thats such a touching gesture. I had ts50x when I was 16. Was so good to see your dads reaction. That's a proper special thing you have done for him. Goddammit someone been chopping onions round here😂
What you did for your dad was precious.
I don't remember ever seeing the 250 in Greece,but my first motorcycle was a TS 200 R.
Nice one Max!
My Dad bought me my first bike when I was 16 back in 1979, a Yamaha TY50P, great memories.
Thanks dude! It's awesome what memories old bikes can bring back :D
Damn, how easy a man can have tears rolling down his cheeks.
This was awesome son. Well done mate.
Ur Dad looks right at home on that thing. Match made in Heaven.
Great story Max, you're a good lad! Your Dad must be very proud!
I'm the same age as your dad and since we never got those here in the USA due to emissions laws, I had to settle for a 77 TS185 at 16 to ride to school in 1986. I raced a 84 RM250 then went to a Quadzilla 500 in TT and Flat Track. I now own a mint 2100 mile 1974 Suzuki TC 185 Ranger that has electric start and it really turns heads when I ride it. Good for you for doing this for your dad !!
Thanks for watching dude! :D Enjoy that TC of yours mate :D
Made me cry max ! Fantastic thing you did for your father and do him a favour call him dad not old man! He’s far from old and he like you just loves bikes and there isn’t anything out dated as far as that is concerned !
I have a 1992 ts r 200 and it was great to seethe bike in that condition !
Take care and happy riding mate! P.s get that 700 doing some racing and some work will you!
Cheers. Mark
Wow fantastic what a lucky Dad! Brilliant video
Thanks John :D It was a special video for us to make together, i'm so glad i had the opportunity to do it for him
What a lovely gesture.i felt choked when you handed your dad the keys.
Ride it off road, your dad will love it,
Thanks for taking the time to watch Robert :D
Take it off road and ride it like you stole it, what a memory you can both treasure lost my dad last year and this hit me right in the feels
😲 That is one incredible story! Can't believe you found that bike, perfect for your Dad. Got goosebumps here bigtime!! 🙏😎
Neither can I! She's a real beauty. Thanks for watching Glen :-)
Memories are made riding the bike not starring at it .SEND IT
Ain't that the truth! Haha thanks for watching Scott!
Dude, you are a legend for buying that for your Dad, I am the same age as him and my 1st bike too was a TS 50 X.. I also had a TS 125 X and TS 250 X years later, it got stolen... I live in London and there are too many scumbags here! I miss it so much, they are such a cool bike, nice one your video made me smile!
hello from Arkansas! im 54 and grew up dirt bikes only, rode some street bikes some. but my first NEW bike was a Kawasaki KLX 250 i loved!!! later got into hot rods and then drag racing and lost job etc and havent rode 2 wheels in 31 years and got a new 2020 Kawasaki Z900! big change! lol but year later got a new 2022 KLX 300 dual sport, dirt tires to get off road again finally! and street legal,,, thats a sweet bike you got your dad! my dads 93 and a retired Surgeon , hes not big on bikes! obvious reason! lol
That was awesome sauce Max tears willed up in my eyes too there's a excellent thing you did for your father
Yeah he really appreciated the bike and your meaning behind it, you're a very good son and he knows it. Well done mate, just awesome ;)
This is great. Takes me back to 1982 when I had my 1977 Yamaha 80 Moro trials bike. I rode the wheels off that bike. I was 12 in 1982. Your Dad is probably a great guy!! Second bike was a used 1986 Yamaha IT 200. It was amazing. Great times on motorcycles and the freedom you always wanted. Thank you for this video.
It's crazy what memories old bikes can bring back. Thanks for watching mate
That's Awesome! Need more vintage 2 strokes on this channel, I love it
Plenty more old school 2 strokes to come from us :D
@@999lazer Nice!😁
I used to race with your dad in 1984… we both rode RM80 big wheels in the inter 80 class there wasn’t to many of them in the class and we stood out as they were so much bigger the other boys in the class!!! We were big boys😂 they wasn’t the fastest bikes but my god they handled a dream 👍
That is awesome! Thanks for taking the time to watch David :D
This is awesome, what a great gift to a father from son
Thanks for taking the time to watch Kyle :-)
Brilliant max
You have a bond that only the lucky few have, respect and big love ❤ 🇬🇧
Thanks David :D All those years taking us to the races have finally paid off for the old fella! haha
That thing should be in a museum. It's only original one time. Beautiful bike. Cheers
She's a beauty for sure. Thanks for watching James!
Two thumbs up to you my man, it brough me tears

That's one awesome way to honor your dad! Love it!
One happy dad ! Legend 🤙Hope my lads watching this 😁
Thanks for watching Marty! Just subtly drop him the link over X-mas ;-D
Same age as your dad and had an RM125 same age as this back in the day, such a wonderful and fun machine and I still miss it so big thumbs up guys. Keep this one mint I'd say, especially since it's an unrestored beauty 😍
Thanks for watching dude :D I think at the moment he's leaning towards keeping her mint, but it is very very tempting to take her for just a little play off-road!
Max, that is completely awesome. You are lucky to have one another. Your dad is a very similar vintage to me & my first bike at 16 was a Honda MT50 2 stroke, which I also bored out & got a pipe for ! Great content as ever and looking forward to more of the Megalodon 👌
Thanks for watching as always mate :-) More Megalodon coming next week... ;-)
Well done lad i bet that's put a right smile on your dad's face.
Thanks for watching Russ, he's been in a great mood ever since! lol
I’m the same age as your dad without any kids but boy would you have been fun to have as a son especially now good job!
Thanks for watching Brian :D
the 80s where fab times, the TSX250 was right there in the middle, its just unrepeatable!!🏍🏍🏍
What a great heartwarming video, love it, you're dad's got his dream bike to make some great memories, would like to see you do a QandA, you're favorite ,bike, rider, track etc ,anyway congratulations on another great video and already looking forward to the next.
Thanks Kevin, some good ideas there too:)
This is probably one of the best videos you’ve done, so cool I can’t believe it was in that great shape ✊🏻✊🏻✊🏻
My old man and I brought a beat up one of these around 3yrs back, she's ready to be put back together now, after a long time of being sat in pieces while the world went crazy. Still a few more pieces to either source or repair but for the most part, it's ready to be rebuilt!
Mega Max 👍👍
I bought my first brand new bike from Andy Lee’s in September 1985. It was the TS125X - it was the first Black & Blue colour combo to be sold at Andy Lee’s (as the previous years bikes were either Yellow/Blue, Red/Blue or Blue/Blue combos & also was the first TS125X with the front disc brake to be sold, as previous years all were front drum braked)
Absolutely loved that bike (especially as it was so easy to de-restrict, compared to Honda MTXs, Yamaha DT125LCs & Kawasaki KMXs) 👍👍
I was probably in / out of Andy Lee’s with my 125X, when your dad was getting his 50X 👍👍
Brilliant vid & mega surprise for your Dad 👍👍 Enjoy it Dad 😁😁
That's awesome, you probably brushed shoulders in Andy's shop on many occasions! Thanks for taking the time to watch Simon
I had excatly the same back in the 90"s. Too soft for me, but beautiful. Cool for your dad, you're a great son !
Wow, what an awesome vid, dad looked stunned, so nice of you to find that gem for him, that’s one beautiful bike!
Thanks 👍
What an amazing find. I had a (79) TS 125 back in the day. I would love to find a 250 like you did. There is nothing better then the smell of a 2 stroke. I have it's bigger brother the DRZ 400s.
You hit me right in the feels Max. I'm so happy you could do such a nice thing for your dad, you can tell it brought him heaps of joy. Hit the trails with it, you have Muc-Off to clean it back up.
I'm so glad you enjoyed the video dude! I felt very lucky to have the opportunity to do this for him. That's a very good point actually, it's very tempting to go give it a real shred! ;-D
@@999lazer we're here for a good time not a long time, enjoy every minute you can with your dad.
Loved this, it took me right back to 1983 when I literally ran 2 miles home from work knowing my brand new Honda mtx 125 would be waiting for me when I got home, it was my 17th birthday, £999 brand new, I was now the Thorpey of my local streets
Thank you for making my day, awesome video and a very special thing to do for your dad
Thanks for your kind words Tony, it means a lot!
Way to go max, he is a lucky man to have a son like you, good on you both, 👍👍
Thank you Mark! :D
Happy dad! That is really cool you and you pops can have a common passion and being a dad i know that touched his heart deeply. You are a good son, i lost my dad when i was in my 20s and i wish i would have had more time to spend with him. Good job bud!
I had one of those many years ago and to this day, that is the only other one I have seen, happy memories.
Thanks for watching Bob! There certainly aren't too many of these things still on the road, we've got to make sure we take special care of this one! :D
That's was a pretty cool thing to do for your dad. My dad had a Honda Transalp when I was growing up but he never wanted me to teach me how to ride and eventually sold it. I had to learn how to ride with borrowed motorcycles (mostly kx75 and cr125) and hidden from my parents. He died 7 years ago due to cancer and we didn't end in the best of terms.
But I really hope you and your dad enjoy riding that beauty. That was a really sweet thing to do for him.
You almost made my eyes run " That was an awesome video! Thanks for sharing this with us Man!✌
Awesome content bro 👏 I’m sure your father is very proud of you 💙👍
Thank you Daryl :-)
The look on his face when u handed him the keys was priceless 👍🏼
It was such a great moment, thanks for watching Barry
Great video,
The sentiment, thought and the love behind it is priceless.
Should it hit the dirt...that depends?
If your dear old dad is going to keep it forever then yes, he should do with it as he wishes and fulfill all those retro dreams and wishes!
Look at all of that 2 stroke smoke blowing everywhere, absolutely awesome!!!
Had RM125 then TS50X and TS125X of same era, all ace bikes. That’s a great thing you did for your old man, looks like you made his year!
What a great feel good video👏👏👍 God bless you & your dad🙏
So glad you enjoyed it dude, i felt very lucky to have the opportunity to do this for him :D
This was such an awesome video 😍 made my morning. I wish you and your father many great riding days!! Stay safe🙏🏽
Max, I like you. You make me happy on so many levels.
Let's list a few.....🤔
1) your appreciation for your family and its moto heritage
2) your passion for 2 strokes
3) your attention to detail on your videos
4) bringing us along with you on your moto adventures
I hope for you to have continued success. You deserve it.
😊
Our dad's sacrifice the dreams so you can live, I'm so sad that I can't do anything now, my dad died last month, sometimes we are blinded by our success and we forget about ones that made it possible
What a lad u are 👍 MAJOR RESPECT MATE ✌️
Top job Max, your dad must be so proud of you. Makes me wish I could do something for my dad
What a top lad !!!
That bike brings back some memories, I had the ts 125x and like you said the 250 was the one to own,
Proper green with envy,
Thanks for watching Keith! I still can't believe we were able to find one in such great condition!
Absolutely amazing video. Such a great gesture and great way to pay respect to your old man. 👍🏼
Thanks Jonathan it was a special day for sure. Thanks for watching
They were called RMX's here, and technically were not road legal (but every once in a while, one slips through all the hurdles in the way).
The last TS I know of was a twin shock mid-to-late 70s model.
Fantastic video you're dad has an amazing son it was meant for you dad too have that bike and you help him do it awesome stay safe both of you 🇬🇧👍
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment Richard, it's much appreciated :-)
My dad was never into bikes and I wanted one so bad. So now I have kids of my own and my own bikes. I hope to pass the passion on to my kids.
Thanks for watching Doug, the passion for bikes is infectious so i'm sure they will catch it! :D
Awesome thing you did for the old man, please throw some new tyres on it. Keep her shiny side up.
Yes Max! Another great vid and a very nice thing to do for your Dad. 👊 Like your Dad I also had a TS 50, F reg in yellow also with a big bore kit and like him I loved it. That was in 1998 and I still love bikes as much as I did then. Keep them coming mate.
Thanks for watching Matt :-)
Did it do 60mph laid down flat 👍🇬🇧☺️

Hi Chris, Thanks for your kind words. The video seems to be bringing back lots of memories for people who are watching which is so awesome.
What a great video I had a new TS50X in 1984 a blue one and 38 years later I found a 1987 d reg original Uk TS250X yellow one all the old MOTs and big file of paperwork a real blast from the past video on CZcams it has 20000 miles on the clock I feel honoured to own it well done for what you done for your father just brilliant
Best son and Dad on the planet love ya guys
Glad to see u taking advantage of these moments like a few others have said my dad has also passed after finally buying a brand new electra glide harley i probably butchered the name but it had all the bells and whisles exiting the interstate from the harley shop he got cut off and was killed i have memorys but this lets me relive some of me and my ol mans thank you
She's a beauty , what an amazing thing to pull off . Well done max
Thanks Davey!
That's a beautiful bike man would love to have one

Thank you for taking the time to watch Edmond!
I'm not crying, you are!! Amazing video mate 👍🏻
Thanks for taking the time to watch Pete! :D
My first bike was a TS50X. Pretty much identical to your dads apart from the tiny engine. Absolutely loved it.
I wonder how many lives those TS50's changed forever! lol Thanks for watching dude
Fair play to you he raised a good man 👍
What a nice gesture, to your old fella 👍🇬🇧
Thanks for watching Paul! :D
Man, what a sweet kid you are. Good job. Really good job. Your best video ever.
Thanks Ronald, Have a great Xmas
Fantastic video. Well done max and dad 👍👍
Thanks for watching Martin!
Nice gesture for your old man mate ,cracking bike ,me n my son have the exact colour and year that were restoring
What a bike and what a video! Amazing Max
Thanks Brayden mate! Hope you're keeping well bud!
What a lovely gesture 👏. And lovely bike ! I started school boy motocross on a second hand RM 80 twin shocks just like your dad back in 1981! But when I went into the intermediates my mum and dad brought me a brand spanking new kwacka KX 100 . But secretly I always wanted a SUZY RM 125 FULL FLOATER.
. Great vid thanks 👍
