The lift was interrupted when the bar started to roll. Anatoly walked over and said let me clean the floor. He picked up the bar with one hand and set it aside. Cleaned the floor then set the bar back in place. He smiled said thank you apologized and said I am a trainer here.

Thor's stands out to me. The consistency of the pull, straight up, no banging it around or trying to leverage it up against himself. Also dude's like super lean in comparison to many of the others. That dude's just built different.. Not sure bout the hummer tires. They did use the platform to make it a normal height, but having all the weight that far out looks like they got a small advantage from getting more whip in the bar. Hard to tell. All are legends though no doubt.
@@TheRookieWarrior I did not say it's not heavy. I say If weights are the same, it's easier when the bar is higher with tires than it is when the bar is lower with weights. This should be obvious. Try lifting something off the ground vs lift something off the table. Tires are setup higher than weights, therefore easier to do.
If ur gym has a hyper extension thing for low back do 3x10 twice a week n that's how you get that body control. Keep doing it for a year to gain great results. Should be hitting 250 on the bench by then for the average male. Another year makes ur bench get up to about 315 and then one more about 405. Keep going it don't happen over night but do 3 sets of ten twice a week just body weight and you too can work you way up to a 1000pond bench press. Hope this helps n remember.. Never use weight n Never do more reps or sets and make sure to drink skim milk only and cheese because cheese has 3 proteins per slice Thanks -chax
I still remember Jón Páll Sigmarsson being the 1st person to lift over a 1000lbs on the so called 'Viking' deadlift (rectangular-handled wheel deadlift), mid 80s (which WR meanwhile is already close to 1500lbs). 😎 czcams.com/video/RzBr6wof1mw/video.html
Lifting like that can't be good for one's blood pressure I know a lot of people are blaming PEDs but the strain of heavy lifts like that and the compression of blood flow seems like a contributor to the heart failure.
@@DejanBogdanovic it’s a gym list. Simple as that. Everyone always said gym lifts don’t count and then all of a sudden it counts? I don’t think so. There’s multiple reasons why people always say that and those are legit reasons.

Just a wimp myself but the tire lifting seems a little fraudulent to me. The bar bending allows the athletes to gain height of the bar before the weight actually leaves the ground meaning the actual weight is not lifted as normal. Just saying.
Magnusson is the only one that really counts as he lifted with no straps and set the bar back down in a controlled fashion. A deadlift isn't just about pulling the weight up, it's also about putting it back down controlled.
if these puny humans can do 1000 pounds imagine what the giant slaves could of done - they did in fact built the pyramids and crazy structures with no modern tech... records show they were 8 foot tall giants so ... damn

So what about an average guy - not a weight lifter or body builder or a professional athelete or even a high school or college athlete. How much could they lift. I am sure they could not do 3 times body weight. That would be maybe 400-600 pounds. I was a long distance runner just for exercise and sometimes ran in charity races just for fun. I did not spend any time in the gym or do any weight lifting. Then a place I worked had a gym and I started doing some weights and machines. After a few months I tried some maximum lifts just out of curiosity. At 5 8 and 143 pounds I got a 310 deadlift. So that was over twice my body weight but no where near the 3 times body weight of the guys in this video. I guess my legs were strong from running. The bar with tyres is still higher than normally.
I agree. The bar with tires is not the same as bar with weights. It looks easier.

I marvel it’s not mechanical , the human body and brain is an amazing living thing!
More impressive than the strongest man is the bare handling that much of pressure

Glad no one dropped it on their toes.

"I am cleaner! Can I clean here?"
they need to fix the bouncing of the bars....would the flex not add weight when it bounces like that?
It would make it easier in the first part of the lift to get it off the ground due to the bending bar

The rod should never bend for high weights
The more it bends more it consumes energy which is not counted in the actual weight he pulls
