God's Word has a lot of does and don'ts in it even in the New Testament. The key is that the Holy Spirit empowers us to love and obey what Jesus said in His Word. We do it because we really love the Lord and know that God;s ways and what He says is important. Without the Holy Spirit indwelling us and empowering us we couldn't do any of this. Actually before I surrendered my life to Jesus and was saved I didn't care as much about doing the does and don't's. That changed when I became a Christian began to follow the Lord.

The Holy Spirit entered my body. i really felt it when he entered me. i was filled with peace, love and comfort. God shared his love with me and gave me understanding of how much he really loves all of us. God loves the worst person out there. Even a murderer who killed 50 million ppl. God said he loves that person and hes ready to forgive them if only they ask. He's ready and willing to forgive u and remember ur sins no more. It was love that none of us could express. God told me he doesnt want hell for any of us. Hes not mean at all like some of us may see him. He only warns us because he loves us so much and wants us being reconciled back to him. I felt the holy spirit grieve in me. i started weeping nonstop for hours. The Holy Spirit was weeping for all the lost souls. He told me to pray and plead with God for forgiveness, mercy, grace and more time for all the lost sinners. pray that they come into a repentance and God softens their heart. God doesn't want hell for us. He weeps when 1 soul goes to hell. The lil bit of grief he allowed me to feel was too much for me to bear. i told God i cant handle this grief. its too much for me. God took the grief away from me. He just wanted me to know how high, deep and wide his love really is. I had hate for my enemy and unforgiveness but God gave me HIS OWN love for my enemy. And now i have love for my enemy and ive been trying to help him get saved and be reconciled back to God. There's no way u can love ur enemies on ur own. U can only love ur enemies when u SHARE in Gods love 😊💖 God is truly beautiful and he loves you so much. He doesnt want bad for u. He wants u to know and feel how much he loves you and he is for u 😊💖 we may fail God and get mad at him, but God will never fail us and will never leave us. I know this from experience😊 Jesus loves u 💖😊 read the bible starting in the book of John 😊 The NLT version is more easier to understand than KJV 😊💖

I hope it's God's Word that is telling/speaking to you things, because that is His usual way of communicating to us. He can speak to us by the Holy Spirit, but the Holy Spirit will usually led us to look to the written Word of God and to Jesus the Living Word of God. Of course the written Word of God is alive as well, because it is inspired (God Breathed) by the Holy Spirit.

“ You were created to experience the life of Christ in you, transforming everything about you from the inside out.” David Platt. I Love this guy!! David you are truly a man of God and the Spirit works through you. You noticed that when my spirit is hurting because of sin or fault I am sad and grieving. And it all begins in the mind and heart. It’s not my actions, but my feelings that makes me at peace. The worse feeling is the feeling of separation from your creator because of sin.

We should grieve and feel sorry for our failures to do God's will, but know for sure that He understandings and is quick to forgive and cleanse us from those failures. At least you understand the importance of looking to the heart letting God change and transform us from the inside out and not the other way around.

When I saw them I asked about it. He said, “ Oh I’m trashing them, Nikki don’t want them she put them aside to throw away.” She is off to college so she thinks she no longer needs God. My hurt ached when he said that. I grabbed the bag and gave the little precious moments Bible one each to my three grandkids. And one to my daughter and kept one myself. I think that what David is talking about is having an ongoing relationship with the Lord. I bet that many of those Christians that go to college and fall away are not discovering what God says for themselves. They don't really know what God says or have discovered it for themselves. They don't read God's Word hardly at all and develop a prayer-life that would carry them through. The problem these days is that our youth are too attached to their cell phones and distracted by that and other outside stimuli that they don't study God's Word for themselves. I am a retired teacher and have heard my students talk about staying up till 2:00 o'clock n the morning texting and playing games and and other things with their phones. If you can get them away from the technology for enough time they could get a good grounding and establishing in the things of God. That doesn't happen because we are seeing the results of this technology addicting their behaviors. If they spent that much time in prayer and God's word we would see the tide turn for the better. Don't tell me it won't work, because I was born again, spent my time reading and Studying my Bible and praying for hours a day as a teenager. Of course, we didn't have cell phones and all of the carnal temptations that these kids have today. To many things are out in the open to the point that kids in third grade know all about sexual stuff that we weren't exposed to back than.

The main teaching to impart is the heart issue. Jesus said to the woman at the well, " but the hour is coming and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the father in spirit and truth; for the father is seeking such to worship him. God is Spirit and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth'. John14:23. You also help them to understand the importance of obedience go the word of God. Half obedience is still disobedience. Teach them the lesson of Saul and the Amalekites. The Lord gave Saul instructions that he meant for him to obey. Saul did what he felt was right. He displeased the Lord greatly and was rejected as King. Let the children memorize the scripture passage " behold to obey is better than sacrifice and to heed better than the fat of rams." 1 Samuel 15:22. Let the children know Jesus wants them to abide in him. By themselves and they can do nothing, they need to spend time in the Word of God, hear his voice, ( the Lord said , my sheep hear my voice).
Get the kids a great teaching bible appropriate for there age. Sit with them and teach them the word of God. Ask the Holy Spirit to lead you. Pray with them and tell them to always pray to God he is always listening.
Let the children know there is no need for " rumspringa"( jumping or hoping around, moving away from God in the adolescence years). The teachings of God are applicable for when you are young, adolescence, mature, middle age, old age. The Holy Spirit is powerful enough to keep, throughout all stages of our lives. Let the kids know, it is a heart issue. They need to love God with all their heart, soul, mind, strength.✝️

At :25 did it all start when the tempter said, "did god really say don't eat from this tree"? Yes, it is deeper because the sin started with the thought. That is true. However, Eve was not influenced by the tempter. She was exercising her free will. Because to her the fruit looked good and sounded good. Because of this god overreacted with "the crime (to god) did not fit the punishment. This punishment did not move humanity forward. It damaged humanity. God, kicking us while we are down created breach births, painful complications in birth. Insects to eat the food tilled by difficulty in labor. No matter how good or bad everyone who exercises their free will gets destroyed completely. God gave the people of Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns and villages the gift of life and free will. He destroyed them showing that we do not have rights on earth - only privileges. These privileges can be taken away brutally with brutal punishment at anytime. The Canaanites for 400 years were not bothered. The saw nothing wrong in their religion. God looked at it and demolished them using his people to do the slaughtering, decapitating of all women, children and men. They were just exercising their free will.

Really? No, Christians get it wrong because they are the ones referred to in Matthew 7 when Messiah clues us to the end when some would say "Lord, Lord"--acknowledging a lord--"We did all this stuff in your name" (except that Christians refuse to use his actual name). What was Messiah's response to those people: "Depart from me. I never knew you as you are workers of iniquity." Iniquity obviously doesn't mean toothsome drooling evil as these were church folks. It means in Greek anomia--without the law. Then what did Christians turn around and do? They cancelled the Torah (Oh, except for that tithing thing.) *You can't just sit around, closing your eyes and saying "I believe" like you're raising Tinkerbell.* You have to "shema"--in Hebrew hear and DO--the things that were written down by the Designer to show how he expected folks to live with each other and with Him.
(And just in case you want to tell me it's "done away with"--how come it's "the law" that is written in hearts in the new covenant? (Jeremiah and the writer of Hebrews agree.) How come the law will go forth--be taught--in Zion when Messiah claims his kingdom (Isaiah 2:3; Micah 4:2). And while I"m right at it, why isn't there a gate marked "Christian" in the New Jerusalem? (Rev 21:12)

Respectfully, Christian's believe Jesus fulfilled the law perfectly . Also he was punished as a trangressor for our transgressions although blameless himself. In other words the law's demand of justice for our sin was satisfied in Christ . His righteousness is applied to us. The law is used to point us to our need for Christ and his atoning work . No one can be justified by the law . Romans 7 clears up alot of what your saying .
