- Lionel Messi just Joined PSG and left his boyhood club. It was a total disaster for the Barcelona fans. The best player of all time leaving the club against his will is a big hit. But this is not the first time, the Catalans have made this kind of decision or lost a valuable player. They have done it time and time again. I mean, they let the Brazilian Ronaldo off after he was the best club for the season. Luis Suarez left Barcelona and won La Liga with Atletico Madrid. These are just a few names. Barcelona have had let go off their players in the past too soon. Here are 10 players the Catalans sold too soon.

So it’s basically Guardiola selling most of the players.
They won the champions league, La liga and the Copa Del Rey season after Ronaldinho left in 2008/2009 - so they actually didn't really miss him.
Well he could’ve helped Barca win more trophies because he was extremely talented and scored lots of goals.
They probably became a better team without him e.g. when coutinho left Liverpool in 2018, Liverpool actually improved.
At that point Ronaldinho didn’t really bother trying to become the best anymore. He already had won everything so there really was nothing else he could’ve done

Too soon applies to R9 only imo, he should’ve been #1. Messi for me gave a solid ~18 years, and helped the club win everything during that time including 3 or 4(4 officially but absolutely critical for 3 imo) of their UCLs, so he isn’t really too soon imo. Wanna know what both situations have in common? Bad business.
For deco he didn't intent to leave since he was forced by a bet made by his agent so wouldn't say barcá LETTING go of him but simply stolen. If you didn't know what transfer I was referring to it was when he transferred to real Madrid.
