THIS IS NASCAR to me. I haven't watched much lately due to pretty boys and politics. I'm an old school guy. I love the 80's. We had true drivers and real characters back then. I've always hated the aerocoupe, but for nostalgia sake, I'll be driving one. Thanks iRacing!

LRulesTheWorld maybe it could follow Cole on his final season, trying to get that one last big win before parking it for good. The antagonist would be a rising star rookie driver who wants to make sure Cole doesn’t go out on a high note.

Not necessarily a Nascar fan, but I'd give these a go just out of how iconic these machines are
You don’t even have to be a NASCAR fan to want to drive these monsters
to be honest some of the best fun i have in iracing is in street stocks. theyre slow so to go fast you have to be good. theyre brutal to really handle at the limit once the tires get tired.
its a lot of fun trying to squeeze everything out of them

What a touching video, gave me goosebumps and tears in my eyes. Always loved this era of NASCAR, the cars and drivers would just special in a way modern NASCAR isnt. Hats off to the IRacing team who build these cars and made this trailer.

Supposedly blowovers have been part of the sim the whole time, but the value for them was set so low in the code that they rarely happened. I guess they turned it up for these cars!

@@Temiree its more that the modern nascars just dont really blowover like that anymore except in very rare circumstances. excited to see how crashing looks in these cars
@@saiintFPS COT doesnt do blowovers, and they did all the time IRL
@@unsolve9162 they did with the older version with the wing but once they went to 2011-2012 era COT they weren't really doing blowovers anymore
@@Temiree yep anyone that's played NR2003 knows the code for blowovers is definitely there in the game/physics engine lol

Watching this brings me back to the gold days for me watching Nascar with my father on Sundays. Sitting on the floor recreating the races with my racing champions cars. Makes me miss those times and really miss my dad.

@Jeff Mattel To some people this stuff really gets to you. I wasn't alive for this time period of stock car racing, but I've watched old racing, and it nearly made me shed a tear. This video was perfectly made, and to see those two cars back on a track, whether it be virtual or not is amazing. I've only been asking for this in iracing since I got it 4 years ago.

Seriously. Well overdue, these cars are my favourite period of NASCAR. Just don’t know why it’s taken until now, to properly recreate these amazing cars. Yes, obviously apart from the NR2003 mod.

Auzcast they will use the old damage model for now because they were pressed for time, the new one will come later
The physics at play at 2:30 are just beautiful to watch.
BRILLIANT! BRILLIANT! BRILLIANT! I'm on the floor! This promo video just sent me into a near fatal goosebumps attack! The initial transition sequences from real footage to sim already had me, but the "Pass in the Grass" transition finished me! The rhythm, the musical score, the dramatic essence of these events that eventually became historic moments, everything was perfect. A thousand Bravos to your team!
I was hoping for the '87 Pontiac to be included, but I'm really happy we got these two
If I remember correctly, they will be bringing that car out in the future. I cannot remember if they said it on one of their CZcams videos or on a TV interview during the one eNASCAR Race. They also mentioned that there would be other tracks coming out in the future.
I hope they do, 1987 season race recreations would be hella cool to do with the community

I think it’s confirmed that there will be no plates on these cars the superspeedways
@@bat-man502 If they are trying to recreate the car from that year, then having no plates would be accurate since '87 was the last year before they implemented the Restrictor plates, so I hope you're right
Baconism your are somewhat correct, they used a resistor plate at Daytona for the firecracker 400 that year
@@bat-man502 Oh yeah you're right, It was after the Spring Talladega race that Bobby Allison got airborne and into the fence to cause nascar to impliment it. I stand corrected
@@bat-man502 no plates, but baby 390 cfm carburetors. plate started the next year.

Plus, I don't know how many will agree with me, but this era of Cup cars are some of the best looking race cars ever in NASCAR.

it just shows you how much people still miss Dale Earnhardt. one of the greatest racing drivers (in many eyes the greatest) because inside of us we all wish we could drive like him. without a doubt nascar is not the same today with him missing, but we are blessed with memories we can show the future generations that at one time, on this earth, god was a stock car driver, and his name was Earnhardt

Have the Impala, it's the ARCA car right now with a nerfed Horsepower Engine
TheReteach it’s not nerfed because it is the xfinity series car from 2011 but I agree I would like to see a cup version
