Good show alot of fun. Would love to see iRacing open up at least the pit adjustments. Be able to take out some wedge and adjust the trackbat would be such a great addition to the long fixed 87 series.
I'm so happy these things came to AI finally. For us AI guys this was a very welcome update. Now they just need Darlington, Pocono, Nashville Super Speedway, and I suppose for next year, the Chicago Street Course and LA Coliseum to run a full cup schedule. I feel like the Coliseum won't get AI until they bring heat races to AI, which I still don't get because you can do that in a hosted session. I hope they bring Motegi, Monza oval and then the Milwaukee Mile to AI too and I'll be set personally, hahaha.
Also, I recommend the irSidekick livery thing on the forums. Works like trading paints but actually loads all the paints. I've had some good luck with it.
Yeah they've done a good job adding more and more tracks. Some still need some bugs worked out but for the most part it's been decent, so hopefully they do add all of those soon. It is weird you can't do heat races or anything yet, they should just make it so you can set up the race the exact same way you create a hosted session. And nice, I may have to check that out at some point
@@Griffin2448 Absolutely. And yeah, they've thankfully fixed some things. I remember Chicagoland for a time had issues where the inside line would run the outside line into the turn 1 wall on restarts, that's gone now. Michigan I have some issues with the AI wrecking fairly consistently and over driving for some reason, but I'm sure they'll get there eventually.
And yeah, I hope they bring it to the AI here because that would make for some fun races to set up.
And of course! Hope it helps for any AI stuff you run!
@@douggoud I can't figure out where to set the pit strategy and riskiness on the individual cars. Where do you set yours at?
The cars pit way to early.
@@bobbymayse9926 I personally set riskiness to 0 myself. Much as having one or two cars run out of fuel is realistic, the problem is they run out and almost always end up stuck on track causing a pileup or caution so I make it nothing so they don't have that issue. They may pit early but it avoids the problem above.
@@douggoud Yea I ran a race last night 100 laps at Daytona and half the cars pitted on lap 19. I could and the rest of the cars could go 41 laps. I had it set on 30 so I will change it to 0 and see what that does. Thanks for the help.
Listen Gavin, I watched 10 seconds of a grainy SD race from 1987 on CZcams so I'm an expert on how the tire wear and handling should be...
I'm no expert but the car was more fun to drive before 22s4 then it is now, and if they changed it because of this it just doesn't make sense to me because why would I want to do AI races in a car I don't even enjoy racing in a lobby anymore? To provide a solution and not just be a complainer- they should just make the legends series open setup since they don't seem to be interested in making decent fixed sets.
Exactly lol
@@JKI89115 They don't listen to any suggestions, and don't want to hear that the changes they made are bad
@@JKI89115 I've stopped racing this car because its not as fun
@Griffin2448 Just like every other developer sadly. I'll be back in season 1 for more frustration and hopefully some fun with it hope to see you on track
If I remember correctly the Kenny Bernstein team was Oldsmobile and I think Buddy Arrington ran a Mopar also these should get different because it was ran on bias ply tires radials didn't come until 89-90 don't exactly remember which season
Where’s Dick Trickle?!
Must have been one of the cars that got removed when I lowered the field size to 30 instead of 40
do you know if the AI do blowovers? ive tried but i its hard to get them to even fully rotate
I've tried at iracing super speedway and could not seem to get them to blowover. They're really good at correcting spins so I might not have hit them hard enough yet.
@@douggoud Yeah all the iRacing AI still have that "glued to rails" kind of feel where they can just correct anything and it takes a ton of effort to spin them or knock them off their line
Yeah, I guess it's because they don't get the same physics we do, otherwise your own computer would have to simulate you time however many AI you run. As opposed to how we race online and all our individual computers figure our physics out and send it to the race server. You'd think the blowovers would be a pretty big thing to at least add to these things though. Oh well. I guess it's not like the nr2003 days where I'm making crash compilations. Lol
Well at least we're able to spin ourselves with their front bumpers instead of having to use someone online in practice for a little fun 😂
@@WastdTrashPanda very true. That's what I ended dup doing once i figured out the AI couldn't do a blowover hahaha
