    I just bought a used '16 and those side pieces were loose at the top. It was a rental and I have no idea why they were monkeyed around with but the top hook was never slid back into the frame before they bolted the bottom part. Now that I know what I'm dealing with I can tackle that. Going to try like hell to do it without removing the seats but not looking promising. Anyhow, thanks very much for this video. I'll crack a beer in your honor tonight knowing that can be sorted without spending more money. Cheers.

    Thanks for posting this - I was too nervous to take the seat backs out but the bottom came out super easy.

    Thanks for the vid. I was curious about the right rear wire harness because that’s where the right rear abs wheel sensor connects to the main wire harness which I believe runs along the right rear seat or at least the seat bumpers which you removed last in ur vid.

    Honestly I’m thinking about sleeping in my Hyundai Sonata 15 bc of traveling for school and work. (Full time)
    It looks like removing the back rest of the seats might flatten out the back enough to sleep comfortably.

    I bet my 2021 Sonata back seat comes out the same way. The rear side bolster on the driver side rattles so I am going to take it apart and see if I can find what is wrong. Thanks for the video

    I just have some seat covers I have struggled to get installed because I can't get the butt part of the backseat out of my 2022 sonata. I took them out of the two front parts, but can tell it's latched down on the side keeping me from getting it out. I see in your video it's that part that you're saying the metal piece is latched into. I don't have to remove the top portion of the seats to take out the bottom portion, do I? I can't figure out how to grab the bottom to unlatch it from that metal part.

    Hey man thanks for this video. To take out the bottom piece I need to take out the reclining back first? Or they work independently?

    • @shaqene23
      @shaqene23  Před 2 lety +1

      Initially you have to take the reclining seat off first. They are connected by the bolts in the back. And slide up and out of the assembly

    • @shaqene23
      @shaqene23  Před 5 lety

      if you can pull the seats down and reach into the middle back of them you should be able to access the bolts from there. definitely don't pay 500 for them to open the trunk

  • @Itsmiimiibaby
    @Itsmiimiibaby Před 3 lety

    What do you do when your trunk is locked?

    • @shaqene23
      @shaqene23  Před 3 lety +1

      two ways to do this. you should be able to open it with your key. if you have a push button car, the silver part of the key fob is the key, pull it out and open the trunk.
      if you dont have access that way, youll need to get the dealer to open it. and replace the factory trunk latch. i know a few models have common trunk issues.
