[TW: ED] what i "normally" eat | energy bar recipe | choc, pasta, and dumplings

  • ᵣₐw bₐᵣₛ 𝖗𝖊𝖈𝖎𝖕𝖊:
    - 4 cups oats
    - 40~43 medjool dates
    - 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
    - 1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
    - 1/2 cup chia seeds
    - 1/2 cup coconut oil
    inspired by aimeesong's recipe, modified by my master chef mum ♡
    dEATs (if you want a detailed step to how to carry out this recipe, just search RAW BARS on youtube!):
    preheat oven to 350F
    pit and smash the medjool dates (don't bake these lol)
    mix the rest of the ingredients together (melt the coconut oil)
    bake these ↑ at 350F until the oats + seeds look golden brown, kinda like granola (yummm)
    now SMUSH the oats into the medjool dates until you get a coherent blob - you might have to adjust the granola:dates ratio depending on how soft your dates are, but even if you do end up with a bit more oats than dates you can just press it all into a container and refrigerating it would help them set and stick to each other~
    once they are hardened you can chop them into pieces of whatever size you desire (don't need to put them in the freezer unless you want to preserve them for a few months!)

    𝕔𝕠𝕟𝕥𝕖𝕩𝕥:
    I have had a large appetite since little, but was able to maintain a lean(ish) physique due to our eating habits at home. haven't been formally diagnosed but I struggle with disordered eating patterns and body dysmorphia on a daily if not hourly basis.
    after I started university I had access to more foods than I could ever imagine, which, in conjunction with my larger appetite, led my body image to go into a downward spiral. was on the verge of bulimia but I couldn't bring myself to physically vomit food so i guess that's a blessing?
    𝕔𝕦𝕣𝕣𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕝𝕪 𝕨𝕠𝕣𝕜𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕠𝕟:
    - bettering my relationship w/ exercise (which is no exercise atm, please don't ask me to workout because i'll see my body and hate myself)
    - not eating like, 120% full at every single meal
    - mindful eating
    - do less body checking
    - reducing the amount of sugar i binge on (for my poor skin lol)
    i started documenting my binges at first, for myself. to leave a "document" of how much i could eat - because, if i don't document, then i will literally forget what my binges were about. however, it seems that these videos were helpful to some of you for controlling binges or to feel seen. so i will ignore the comments that make me feel sad!

    You're literally the only binge eating channel that I'm subscribed to and it's BECAUSE you talk. Your videos are comforting because you share your experience with us in the raw, true colors. It also feels great to feel like you have a friend. That's exactly how I feel when you tell us your troubles, by the way. ❤️

    Hi! I'm sorry i haven't written a comment in so long, i was busy with finals (which i all passed and will go to the next and my final year, finally!)
    Tbh you ranting or talking gives these videos more personality, it makes it more relatable. If someone doesn't like it then they don't have to read it lol Sometimes when it's late at night and i'm watching videos with subtitles i'm just to damn tired to read them but still enjoy the video.
    I really liked this video! I'm rather anxious cause my cousin is coming for a sleepover (haven't seen her in months) so it was a nice distraction.
    I know it might be weird but your videos motivate me to eat ? i know weird but, i can restrict myself to not eating anything almost (for a month now i haven't been eating dinners and recentally even breakfast) I know how bad it is but my thoughts scream at me that i'm not allowed to eat. I'm scared that I will binge and later purge. The worst part is that i'm not even losing weight, just feeling sick mentally and physically. Some days i even feel "happy" that i haven't eaten anything in a day (i know how awful it is)
    I'm glad i'm done with school for now and can focus more on myself cause i really need it. It sucks that where i'm it's getting very warm which means i need to wear less clothes so more exposing of my body that i'm ashamed of...damn I'm so sorry for venting/ranting whatever you want to call it, i have noone to talk about it, literally they won't understand and just tell me "just eat" yeah as if that was that easy.
    I hope wherever you are and whoever you are that you have a good day, please drink water.

    I personally really like it when you talk in your videos! It's just for me a bit more entertaining then just watching a plain video with someone eating (not counting asmr videos though, I adore them even when they don't talk, lmao 😭✨)

    I hope you are taking care of yourself and being kind to yourself in this moment! My heart goes out to you and I will keep you in my prayers. I’ve only had slight/ fleeting issues concerning my relationship with food in the past and even those moments were very frustrating and miserable.
    If I could make a suggestion, keep on eating oatmeal!
    Comfort food to eat instead of binging
    (I would honestly double this recipe if you feel like you are about to do a crazy binge):
    1/2 cup of oatmeal
    1/2 cup of milk
    Palm/handful of nuts
    Raisins
    Berries And fruit (I.e 1/2 and Apple, 1/2 a banana, 1/2 a pear, strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, honestly the more the merrier)
    Microwave the oats and the milk until it reaches a porridge consistency (2 minutes with my microwave)
    Add fruit
    Enjoy!
    Oatmeal is one of the most nutritional foods you can eat, cheap, high in fiber (so that will make you feel full for longer, trust me), and so delicious!

    Keep up the rants! It shows the true struggles of EDs in real time. I feel more connected to your vids because of the text.
    My fave dessert is tiramisu, but I eat the whole thing in one sitting. It's soooo dangerous!

    honestly my fav is literally just plain ole bread. i actually like really dense breads and i prefer them over soft, and also biscuits. basically i'm a slave to carbs and sugar :(

    You can find yummy crepe cakes in Indonesian markets, the texture is more like a cake and there is no cream but still yummy tho :)

    Hi i also wanted to tell how i started my eating disorder . But don't worry i recovered 9 months ago . I got called pig by my friend but that time i don't mind that at all but i got called pig by many friend and i feel a bit uncomfortable after school i started eating 1 meal a day i did everything to be thin by the way my weight was45kg at that time my aunt family came to my house and said that i am so fat every time they came to visit my house they call me fat

    Omg oil is one of my trigger food too but it's strange because I avoid it always. Like...cake it's another trigger food and when I have it at home I always binge but with oil it's different because I avoid it like it is poison. 80 kcal of chocolate? Sounds good to me. 80 kcal of oil? Ah yes, now I will gain 2 kg.
