Slinkies and Star Wars Sound Effects

This is a short excerpt of one of my earlier videos on sound dispersion in slinkies. The same physical effect is used in the movie, albeit with the guy wire for a ~200 ft radio mast. Most people don't have one of these at home, so a slinky is sufficient to get close.
The comments have been turned off due to harassment (verging sometimes on personal abuse) from nerds wanting to attack me over relatively irrelevant (and often incorrect) details regarding the original sound in the movie. That is not the point of this video. This video is here to teach those who are curious a little bit about the science behind the sound effect. If, because the comments here are closed, you feel the need to make your comment on another of my videos instead, please be aware it will be deleted and you are wasting your time. I am open to people making polite sensible comments, abuse and personal attacks I have little interest in.
