Just rewatching old episodes and i have to say :
2021 and still i think the english dub is what made Trigun and Cowboy Bebop work so good.
They actually enhance the respective anime. Both casts do superb work.
    Also :
Cowboy Bebop is a rare occasion in which i think the German dub is actually really good, which for a German myself, is just amazing as this is rare as hell.

It should also be noted that Cowboy Bebop came out 2001, just barely out of the horrible dubs we were accustom that permiated the 80s and 90s. And it's dub was fan-freaking-tastic. Yeah, we still get a lot of shitty dubs, look no further than Toradora, but Cowboy Bebop still set the gold standard. A gold standard that has remained nearly unchallenged.
With that said, Dragonball Z's uncut Funamation dub ranks a close second for me and remains the best voice and cut we got. Fuck you Nickalodian.

This anime is really great in other places, not only in the United States. In Mexico it is also one of the most popular animes in history, one that everyone saw at a given moment. I can safely say that Cowboy Bebop is one of the most influential animes of all time, even though multiple ethnicity and American style help a lot, it is the development of the story and the characters that makes a good anime with many references to one of the best anime series of all time.

I've loved Spike since that 'bang' at the end. It took me a full year to actually fully watch the show. This was where I was introduced to Steve Blum and followed him still to this day. I can still watch the series and listen to the music continuously. I have to say that I can hand this series off to anyone who's never watched anime and go "watch this" and they loved it.

Its an anime that appeals to both anime watchers and you're average person. Most anime no matter how good have something that would alienate the average viewer. Whether it be weird aliens/creatures, to magic or just blatant fan service. Bebop has none of that.
Its set in the future yet nothing outlandish in terms of aliens or technology exists and the concept of space travel isn't that farfetched for the average viewer.

First time, I watch Cowboy Bebop, from start to finish, I was 18, it was on Adult swim. Sometimes, I reminisce, about that, and I still miss it, a lot, now. I was still in High School at that time, I started watching Cowboy Bebop in February of 2010, and then Bebop ended in late April of 2010. The only crappie part about my experience with Bebop, was after, I finish watching it. And, at that time, I didn't have any friends or family, I could share or relate with my experiences about Bebop. On a side note, Cowboy Bebop conuited to play from the beginning on Adult swim, each time, it would end, very rinse and repeat process. But, anyways, I remember taking such joy from watching Cowboy Bebop, and looking forward to seeing it, on Saturday night, or, Sunday morning, thanks to Dish network, DVR. And, it didn't matter if, I had a good week or bad week at School, Cowboy Bebop made life Awesome!!! And, yes it, is still one of the best anime, I have ever seen

I admit to start with my introduction to anime was yugioh duel monsters and digimon but over time I branched out moving on to shows like bleach and 3X3 eyes I'm all over the shop when it comes to shows even to this day. But one thing I can say is that when I first watched bebop I fell in love just cause of how different it was to what I had previously been hooked on. Anywho all I wanna say is sage thanks for this vid cause it was brilliant and the scenes you showed do still give me the shivers to this day and I wouldn't have it any other way. :3

Another huge thing for anime on TV (here in Chicago at least) was broadcast channel 62 which from about '93ish-'98ish aired Anime on Tuesday and Friday nights and called it "Japanimation". A *huge* portion of the movies and OVAs Sage has reviewed aired on there, which is where I saw this stuff for the first time and later tracked down VHS copies to rent (or in a few magical cases *buy*). Being born in 83, I was just the right age at the time.
Later, they would air ECW wrestling, lol

You know? I've had a lot of problems with certain anime you didn't like (Evangelion most of all) but I think we're 95% in agreement with this one. The other 5% is that Call Me Call Me is my favorite song, just edging out Space Lion for the top spot. That may because I lost somebody very important to me a long time ago, and our calls were our last form of contact.

So last October I finally sat down to watch Bebop and have to say, very much worth the full attention. I put on the first episode while unpacking my room and found myself watching more than unpacking. It's a bit off to follow early but picks up quick. All the characters are unique and interesting with their own underlying stories that you get hints of each episode. Eventually each character more or less gets an episode or 2 to give background.

I must say, the soundtrack for Bebop is indeed one of the most interesting ones I've ever seen in anime. I mainly love how it was used throughout the series, the scene with spike falling out the chapel window is probably one of my favorite examples. Yoko Kanno did amazing by all means. Though personally I'm more of a Yuki Kajiura fan but never the less. Also Pierrot le Fou is probably my favorite episode from Bebop.

The very first time I watched Bebop was in 2003 or so; I was up late and came in half-way through the episode, "Pierrot le Fou"...and found it really disturbing, not helped by not knowing what was going on. Because of this, I would end up swearing off the series for nearly 10 years, when a friend of mine convinced me to give it another chance; I watched it from the beginning and ended up loving it...well, the aforementioned episode was still a really tough sit, even if I knew what was going on this time.

I really loved bebop, one of the first anime adult anime I watched. I say adult because I grew up with horrendous 4kids dubs, and the closest to adult I had gotten was inuyasha when my great uncle purchased me the first season boxset because it was an anime. I watched bebop and trigun within weeks of eachother because my mom's friend was trying to get her into anime. I ended up watching it with her for the most of the series and loved it. Bebop, and trigun are some of the biggest reasons why I came to love anime.
As for indians in anime there are an OK amount with the first that comes to mind being Wolfs Rain. That's a series which I am very jealous that my mom's friend has the box set for. It goes for a few hundred dollars now.

first episode I saw was radical edward. hooked me immediatly- Bebop is a masterpiece and it does so cause its a labor of love- truly honest love. so much care was taken in this whole production, that it was impossible not to be perfect. even "bad" episodes are just episodes I dont like as much as the better ones- or focus on Faye who Im not fond of as a person- but her character is so flushed out and well done-that my dislike of her is more than a technical reason like "voice" "design" or something about her acting, instead I just dont like her moral fiber. and the fact that someone I dont like- still has a story Id easily cry over, says alot about how good they are about building characters.
