But Russia have taken care of much worse bullies than the west claim China is. Hadn't been for Russia, Syria would have been controlled by to state founded terrorist states US and ISreal who supplied terrorist's with both weapons and payment, a huge income for be in the middle East, about 15-20 terrorist groups was supported by US and ISreal. And China did also help Syria, but not with soldiers. more with aid of food and medical equipment. In Syria a lot people got killed, that doesn't happen in the South China sea. In case it is US who never should bee there. The Chinese with nukes, Iranian, Iraqis, Russian with nukes, North Korean with nukes, Venezuelian, Pakistani with nukes, should all sailed into the Mexican Gulf with hevely armed ships, and just claimed freedom of navigation, And the Palestinian should have military exercise in the West Bank, and tested missiles with allies, like the the Lebanese resistance groups Hezbollah, Syria, Iraq and Iran, test the missiles on illegal houses set up by armed terrorists, so called settlers hoses. But yea, Vietnam deal with the bully US n the 1960-70's, but they doesn't deal with China alone. US is a much greater danger in the South China sea.

That's because they only use gimmicks to channel their own funds back with the additional interest that they earn on their own money. Think about it; they give your government the loans to hire only China-based contractors. Then they make sure that each and every cent of that money goes to a China-based company, including the water and food bills of the workers.
After that, they ask you to pay the interest for the money that they gave you for funding their own companies. When you fail to pay, they take your asset at absolutely no cost.

Thanks for your video. As an engineer, I noticed you said that concrete was helping "keep the islands afloat". Although, one could say that is an oversimplification of the intent of using concrete, please allow me offer an explanation: The islands appear to have been built by dredging sand from the bottom of the sea near by, and then piling that sand over the existing natural reefs (I know, an environmental disaster right there). One would assume that the 'concrete' was used to provide a retention system to keep the dredged sand from simply washing up to sea with the tides (as the dredged sand more than likely does not have fines like clay to help it keep together), this 'concrete' must have been used as building material for structures in the islands as well. One would also assume that the very dredged sand was also used to make the "concrete", perhaps with the inclusion of coral shards as aggregate, and maybe even using salt water to mix it all together (due to the lack of fresh water, unless they brought that too). So, this 'concrete' is probably no more than an expensive kind of mortar, weakened by the lack of good quality aggregate (like crushed rock/hard stone), and also because of the high salinity in the environment, in the sand and maybe even the salt water used for mixing everything together. Thus, this 'mortar' would be very likely to crumble and "fall apart" (by the chemical action of the salts/water affecting the composition of the cement in the 'concrete'). Even for the best quality concrete, the marine environment is highly corrosive, it affects concrete, steel, and timber, even when fully coated with protective paint or galvanised. A very expensive experiment by the Chinese government, one doomed to fail from the beginning without adequate engineering design and regular maintenance. Time will tell how long the islands stay "afloat".

And why is this surprising? I haven't even started this video and can reason why. These constructed islands are soil and sand - natural islands are (almost) solid stone. Anyone who has spent time making sand castles knows that the castle only lasts until the tide comes in. The more porous the construct, the easier it is for water to separate individual parts from each other, and whatever is built, flattens to the ocean floor.
