    A little about me:
I am James McBurnett. I live in the great state of Texas. Probably not where you would think, but I am located in the panhandle region. I moved here from Alabama and work as a Chemical Engineer in the area. After being here for a few years, I decided to get back to my roots as a fisherman. It is quite challenging in my area to find a body of water to fish. The closest lake to me is about 40 miles away.
After a couple more years, I realized how much I love fishing and wanted to share it with the world. Clearwater fishing was born. I wanted to teach people all about fishing. This includes rods, reels, fishing line, bait, lures, largemouth bass, crappie, walleye, catfish, bluegill, boats, boat trailers, outboards, and anything else related to fishing.
I also wanted to share my fishing experiences as well. To be entertaining, knowledgeable, comical, and FUN. This channel was created out of the love of the sport of fishing, and I plan to keep making content that represents that. Thank you for watching this video and reading a bit about me. Give me a shout out in the comments below and let me know you read this. Now get out there and go catch you some fish.

For the price, it's a very good fishing platform.
The boat needs a skeg or rudder. Tracking is less than desirable.

The front rod holders are one of my favorite things about the kayak. I use them to drift fish and still fish bait. That way I can watch my rod tips instead of having them behind me. Their great to hod your rod when your changing bait or lures. And they really great to hold your rod when your trying to get a lively fish unhooked.

John Bishop Thank you for pointing that out. I don’t do any drift fishing, but it sounds like something I might try. What are you fishing for when you drift fish and how do you do it?

@@clearwaterfishing I drift fish mainly for trout. Basically use a nightcrawler suspended under a slip bobber. I paddle up to the top of the lake, put out the worm and let the breeze push me to the other end of the lake. While drifting, I'm casting a spinner with another rod.

The front rod holders aren’t really to hold rods when you paddle. They are more for holding the rod when you’re taking a fish off the hook or rigging it up. Great review though very impressed

If they were about 6-8 inches forward they could be for both. Thank you for the kind words!

Catch 100 tracking is less than desirable.
A skeg on rear solves problem. 75$+-

That's a nice kayak And a great review about it. I see what you're saying about that front rod holders. I'm looking to buy a second kayak for a backup. I'm worried about that foot brace because I have very very big wide feet sz14 4 EEEE WITH fat wide toe and I had to kayak Barefooted 👣 and as small as they look I know my feet would not stay on the foot brace because my foot being so wide. I have a question? You said you have flip flops on at the time. when you was on the water did you have your flip-flops on at the time and how did it feel. You said the pedal have some sharp edges on them. I have a pair of flip-flops but I really need them for my Footwear because I cannot find a shoes that is wide enough to fit me and I have to wear these for work.I can barely get My Flip flops on my feet because my feet are wider than the straps on the flip flops. It really sucks very wide feet because I'm either barefooted👣 or wearing flip-flops year-round regardless of what type of weather I'm in. If you don't mind me asking what is your foot size and how do your feet fit on those pedals. Like to figure out the sharp edges. Thank you for the review sir and you and your family have a nice memorial holiday.

Hey man thanks for the reply. I did not wear flip flops the whole time. I wore them mostly to get in and out of the water. You never know what you might step on. I was barefoot on the water and the foot rest are ok. If you press hard into them it is a bit uncomfortable, but for the most part it is tolerable. If the sharp edge are too much; you can always sand them down. I wear a size 12 E. Still a pretty big foot but nothing compared to yours. These kayaks are pretty common. You can go to Academy and check one out. Thanks for watching man!

Clearwater Fishing Okay so you kayak Barefoot 👣like me. I can agree with you you never know what your step into at the boat ramp. Okay so only discomfort if you press real hard on the footrest other than that it's okay. cool that's good to know. That's not a bad idea I never thought of that sand them down a little bit. Okay you have big feet to size 12 E I take it is probably easier for your foot to stay on the footrest then mine. I don't know if it's my foot being very wide or it's because I have fat wide toes why they won't stay on the footrest. Being a size 14 I don't think that would stop it from staying on the footrest. I could be wrong. I'm just glad your feet are not like Minds. Me and you are built the same so I don't know why I have very fat wide feet .It's good balancing but horrible 4 Footwear. Thank you for your reply it helped me out a lot I will be going to Academy and looking at this kayak. You're an awesome guy thank you so much sir. You have a nice holiday weekend.
