when i was 4 i would run around the kitchen while my mom and aunts made food for the men haying. the whole ranch depended on getting the hay done. we raised beef cows here in mt. watching your mom bringing you food in the field brought back those memories. thanks

I been carrying a cordless impact for knives but last year I threw on a cordless 4-1/2" grinder. You won't believe how nice it is to just quick grind an edge on a knife now and then when you knock something. It's a staple on the tractor when mowing now

Thank you I finally found somebody on here that sharpens the blades on the mower. I know it's faster and it saves money but everybody on CZcams just throws the blade down. I would have ran that blade for a few years or till it had a bad bend in it that I couldn't get out.

Those of us that are office, IT, and so-called "knowledge" workers - that literally haven't been outside for more than 30 minutes each week for the past 7 weeks - are looking with so much appreciation and envy at farmers like yourself enjoying the warmer, sunny weather. I will also think twice about the origin and supply chain when I click 'add to cart' on milk or steak or bread at my favorite online grocer.

Really like your videos. I had a friend in elementary school that lived on a dairy farm and i had a lot of fun with him on thier family farm. I was way too young back then to understand how much hard work it actualy is. Some people just take it for granted that they can buy anything they need in a store but dont ever think about how much hard work goes into making it. You do a good work showing what goes into giving us the luxury of just going to a store and beeing able to buy milk. (btw feels silly saying "back then". im about the same age as you but elementary school was like 15 years ago.)

The grain name caught my eye. I recalled the name from some long ago watched TV show. So I looked it up, from Wikipedia: 'Quadrotriticale was a fictional high-yield, perennial grain featured in the the "Trouble with Tribbles" episode of Star Trek. Specifically, it was a genetically engineered hybrid of wheat and rye with four distinct lobes per kernel.' That was a particularly good episode.

A little trick I learned from my cousin. If you seed winter triticale in the fall at about 3/4 of the rate you normally would than in the spring before the winter triticale comes back frost seed in spring triticale with the remaining 1/4 rate. For some reason it makes your leaves wider by up to 1/2 inch.
