this guy is alwAYS GOOD. he actually makes tracks! something i dont see alot of modular guys pulling off.
mylarmelodies, I totally dig your existence on this planet, man! Cheers :)
Love how MM just playing around w/some new kit sounds better than most people's polished albums.
My Mimeophon arrived yesterday. In minutes I was making some of the most wonderful rhythms and soundscapes Iâve ever conjured. It is so immediate and fun! Btw - nice jam! Iâve been studying your Steevio style explanatory videos and have learned a ton....using these techniques a lot now and getting some awesome results. Thanks for all you do for this community!
cheeky little jam
You're a cheeky little jam
That "ace" at the end was hilariously, beautifully, understated.. given the gorgeous sonic mayhem that took place during the previous several minutes. Personally, I would have left my chair and been heard in the distance screaming a huge 'Whoooop!' Yeah, it was ace !
Haha, gets me every time :D
mann, i keep coming back to this jam, this is gold!! fayaa m8
absolutely incredible. Can't believe this is free music and it's this good. now I want mimeophon >.
WWOW that jam, you are so good. Thanks for that
I love this module along with Make Noise Erbeverb so good!
You really made me finally dig into buying modulars. Thanks man â€ïž
You really go places huh? Hard to believe it's a single patch, well done!
I love everything you do... but THIS!? WOOOOW!! FIRE!
This is the most fun and enjoyable module I own. It's just a joy to play.
you nailed it! again!
Iâve had one since they came out...seriously considering a second one. LOVE
Thank you mate for making these excellent and outstanding videos.
Thank YOU for supporting mate!! x
Wow your jam is insaaane!! Cheers!
What a musically, enjoyable demonstration đ„°
its the only sound module I currently own (i have it, a maths and a semimodular mono synth) and its absolutely wicked. A cool thing I like do to is feed it the pure unadulterated tri wave audio from my minibrute 2s main osc section reverse multed with the amp output, so it has a constant sound to chew on while still actually accepting input. Combined with some crazy modulation from maths (which ive intentionally not properly learned yet because im still enjoying bumbling around it not quite knowing what im doing and getting cool stuff out of it) being multed by an intelligel hub to be sent into everything from the colour mod to the rate mod, the zone mod and also the triggers for the flip and hold buttons and pitch info from the minibrute 2s keyboard into the volt for octave ” input, it can create absolutely ridiculous textures and just, so much substance for a track its mental.
my overall system plan is to recreate the Tape and Microsound Music Machine while adding modified elements from the system cartesian (like rene mk 2 and a complex oscillator) but im at a loss of what specific aspect of that plan to expand into first because the Mimeophon on its own does so much if you treat it right (or especially if you treat it wrong)
Lovely stuff and great channel
Another amazing demo. Just found what you did on the drumbrute impact yesterday. Now I want both :'(
So looking forward to that SALMPLE review ;)
Spot the gap...it needed filling
Gotta love a little side of all pass filters with your delay feedback network. Makenoise did good.
Sick! Awsome video....
Given how much of a staple the rainmaker has been in your system I got very confused when it wasn't there haha
This is sick though!
Uploaded today, comments from 1 week ago. It's like there's some kind of delay going on... Love your work!
Thanks Bill, love yours too! x
Well, Patreons of mylarmelodies can travel back in time and make comments in the past.
You gettin' so gooooood.
That jumper looks nice and warm.
Itâs analogue
This grooves so hard
Hello. Totally dig this jam! I blame you because I'm about to buy my first proper mixer...do you actually use EQ and Pan settings on the hexamix? What would be your 2nd best choice beside Befaco? thanks!!!!
Wow that sound's amazing, if ever you play live around Nottingham, Derby, or Sheffield I wanna come and watch đ
Great job buddy
my ears are happy
come for the mimeophon review, stay for the dancing hands
The groovy part starting at 17:28 reminds me of Steevio. Ace.
Also you just made me buy a Mimeophon.
Question about your Hexmix/Hexpander: say you have a compression module that takes CV, can you run the CV L/R out of the hexmix (not hexpander) and still get the fx sends in the signal chain?
this is just... *righteous*
Love the camera setup and how you put the two (or three?) cameras in the video.
Thanks dude, yeah that was a bit of a eureka moment to try and make use of the dead space! Will see if I can do something similar on future 'overhead' videos!
love this as much as i love butter. butter on toast. garlic butter. baked potato with butter. I love all those things and I love this the same.
I like all that stuff too! But most of all cashews!
Strong "Clark" vibes. Especially past 8:55.
Great jam. Is that all Plaits in chord mode? Sounds dope. :)
Yep. Also joined by the MCO + SEM
nice kick drum !! from which modul?
Nice one! This thing is such a beast. I got to play one through an 18 speaker spatial system in ping pong mode. đ€Żđ€Żđ€Żđ€Żđ€Żđ€Żđ€Żđ€Żđ€Żđ€Żđ€Żđ€Ż
What!! Where was that?!
mylarmelodies Atlanta! Bana Haffar murdered it as well as well as triplexxxsnaxxx
mylarmelodies there will be video
Ahhh!!! Bless the snaxxx and all who sail in her (and bless Bana too). Iâll watch that
@@ultrabillions2208 where's the video đthanks!
At 28:08, I thought I was still listening to that Drexiya mix from earlier. LOL
đ
Brilliant... where is the drums coming from ? Are they from the modular or from another drum machine going through a mixer? If they are coming from the eurorack how is it all synced up ?
All totally from the system onscreen. Check description and other vids on my channel! Most comprehensively: LIVE MODULAR SYNTH WALKTHOUGH czcams.com/video/QnYDR61a8TA/video.html
08:49 Sit down, relax and enjoy
When that jam locks in @ 19:10 ! đ
really nice! how did you rout the mimeophon for this if you don't mind me asking? as in, which channels are you sending to it?
Lots of them - itâs on a send on the mixer! But mostly the Plaits
@@mylarmelodies cool, thanks a lot for the answer!
This is science !
So from what its doing, would you say it's comparable to the clouds module? Your videos always tempt me, but I need to be reasonable for once :D cheers
No very very different! Keep watching and in fact youâll see Ive been thinking about this very comparison soon....
Cool.
Hi there! I'm curious: what are those 4hp modules with what look like a white touch interface? Are they similar to ribbon controllers?
Sound machines LS1, there should be a modulargrid link in the description!
I know you're all into the squid salmple atm but have you tried out the VPME QD already? I saw a presentation + jam on that thing yesterday at schneidersladen and was actually quite blown away by it. It looks really hands on like the Euclydean V2 and has so much stuff bunched into it for "only" 22 HP or so. Would love to see what you think of it and what you would squeeze out of that thing.
Yes I have - at Superbooth - think it sounded great and I love the concept!! Itâs a bit more like the Prok drums really in principle. Heâs a great dude and some brilliant ideas
@@mylarmelodies I must have missed him at superbooth 19. My thoughts exactly, his ability to create really hands on modules without screens or menu diving is impressive and the layout of the panel is very clean IMO. Would love to see you review/jam on it *poke* *poke* :P
hot stuff
9min... đ„đđ
A lot of noise around 16:08 - is that system noise or module specific? Regardless, lovely stuff.
Dom Murphy Excessive repeats will obviously highlight any noise in a system, might be that, thereâs definitely a bit in mine đ€·ââïžThe module isnât noisy unless you make it be tho
Awesome! My Morphagene arrived a few days ago, and I'm ordering Mimeophon soon. This jam is a great example of it in action.
Also, this video is now at 666 likes thanks to my click.
Curious....did you take the frequency knob off of Plaits because you were bumping it or was it something else?
P.S. canât believe I havenât seen this jam before...itâs awesome.
Hah yep, saves the risk of accidents when playing out!
was totally begging for the bassline to come back in at the end..
yeahhhhhhhhhhhh!
17:47 this is ace
Loved the bit around 15 to 23 ish. Where did the notes come and what was the vco, seems to have gone into the jove for gorgeousness. Take it easy.
Thanks mate - yeah that's pure Plaits and Jove!
mylarmelodies I got plaits a while ago and am still not quite sure how to jel with it and often it just sounds kinda whack. I have ended up mainly using it for percussion even though thatâs not why I bought it. Do you have any tips to get more out of it?
mylarmelodies also I just build my first radio music after seeing it countless times in your jams and damn itâs ace đ
@@user-lf6fb9fj8j Hi, a good way of seeing Plaits is as a single voice. VCF, VCO,VCA, Low-pass gate. Got mine set to preset 2 on left side or green. Frequency set to about 10, harmonics 11, Timbre 1, Morph 1. Feeding it with a 4 note chord sequence, timbre mod to 2 and morph to 10. Great east coast sequencing voice for basslines etc. Also you can do filter sweeps and all kinds of other stuff. Its a swiss army knife of tones. Keep it simple at first. Happy hunting. :-)
It's rare to hear something that sounds like actual music from a modular rig. well done
Yep.
Just wow.
That jumper tho.....
After having my prior one taken, I've been thinking about what I would want a new eurorack system to be for me... and honestly, I just want this.
Simple drums, simple basslines, and deliciously filtered reverberant synth lines. Ace!
Ah no - it got nicked?!!
mylarmelodies burglary right before a move... my rack (and most of my gear) happened to be consolidated to one crate :/
in further thinking on this subject, a modular 'getting nicked' should mean adding a PWM-capable oscillator into it
Aha! I knew you had four hands!
@ 11:00 bruhhhh...this should be worked into a single. Serious.
(half way through) fuck this is good, just needs a microbrute lead played on the side :D
Did you just say Mimeofun? ;-) :-)
Ace!

cool delay
und er schickt uns!
Rainmaker everyday of the week.
Nice vid, your cable management leaves something to be desired though, you should try some right angled ones for any of the more permanent connections.
Hah! Sometimes the geography of the modules ends up making it hard to have things ergonomic - especially when you donât have much internal deadspace (to take fat bundles of cables) when the case is closed
..superfett...
Does anyone else here like cashews?
Been into almonds lately
"Hello" to start? Why. So. Serious.
