Stupid AT&T & Verizon blocked this feature for any Galaxy purchased from them. But allows this feature to work on Apple devices smh.

For example if i had a call and answer it on tablet Does it consume mobile data if i was connected both devices on it ? And does it needs a stable and good connection on wifi or mobile data in order to answer the calls ?
I have a s9. It was from ATT. It is since unlocked and I have a different service provider. No longer with ATT.

So you have to have a samsung phone to connect can't connect to android

That feature is NOT available on the tab s7 or the phone s21ultra... still screwed on texting syncing calls on tablet!
If the phone and other device are connected to the same wifi can they work at around the same time?

If the S8 is up to date, there should be no problem. No, one phone doesn't have to be near the other.
How do you get the daily text widget
Does this work with a Windows computer or only on other Galaxy devices?

Thank you for this Video. I tried what you suggested, but my phone does not have this option. Was a Samsung update done taking this away? I see you mentioned subscriber services. I have AT&T .. What service do you have that this is working properly with? Trying to use my new TAB S6 to text. I don't care about the phone part. But would be a nice bonus.
No problem! I'm with T-Mobile and they may be the only service to support this feature.

Thankxs for share.. but why i cant find "call and text to other device" on advanced features menu on my Tab S6 T865? Since One UI 2.1, One UI 2.5 till One Ui 3.1 now.. i couldn find it... 🥲🥲
It may have to deal with the tablet having data connectivity. If you have a wifi only, it may not have that function.
It only requires both devices to be logged in the same Samsung Account or it needs to be in the same wifi network? I want to use the phone as wifi hotspot and connect the tablet to it to use it in the car. Do you know if it works that way? I can’t try because I have an iPad and a S21 Ultra. Please let me know! You can use your phone as a Hotspot for anything that as Wi-Fi access. This includes a tablet.
Is there any app on Google Play which may make this feature work on any Android phone other than Samsung? Can we connect a Samsung phone to another brand device to be able to receive call and text message notifications?

@@Sarcroc They keep restricting software features that are quite basic and easy for any new Android device (from the past five years) to have to force people into buying expensive phones they don't really need. If we are not going to play with heavy games and the likes, basic functionality should not be software limited, the price difference should be only linked to the hardware, at least that's the excuse they make for the hefty phones that are supposedly high tech.
Same thing with Windows' YourPhone App. If you buy an expensive Samsung device you can control your device from your computer and even run Android Apps directly from Windows but if you don't "pay the price" buy buying those devices their stupid app does not let you do more than seeing your pictures (badly) and checking your notifications (terribly, very glitchy).
I wonder if the modding community has put together ways to work around those limitations, since it's just a rip off from big tech.
Man this feature came a long way, my first experience with this goes back to the S4 with SideSync and the Galaxy TabS

If you proceed with this method, you'll see whether or not another phone can be used.

This is exactly what I was looking for, however I have a Samsung note 10 and this option is not on there. It is also not on my Galaxy tab S7. has this option moved and if so do you know where it went?

Every time I try to do it on my tablet just says to scan the QR Code to link it and I use my phone camera to do it and it just says it doesn't have an app to do anything with the QR Code please help!

I have a s10 and I do not have the call and text on other devices. Can you help with this? Tried to update my phone and nothing is working
Having that feature depends on both devices being supported by the carrier. So the tablet would have to be able to run on a data plan.

No it does not. Only with Samsung devices.

I believe any supported Samsung device will work.

So far, it's just calls and texts.
Use Samsung Flow for that, it supports everything
samsung tablets can also function as a stand alone phone. just put your phone sim in tablet and just make/recieve voice calls and messages as if it's a phone

**to clarify, my tab s6 has the call and text on other devices feature. When I click the "Link this tablet to your phone" - it displays a QR bar. I take a picture and states I don't have an app to use the created link.

Does it work with data? When I travel to other country and I can leave my phone at home and use this feature over wifi or data in other country?
As long as your phone is still connected to wifi or a network provider, it'll still send calls and messages to your tablet.
@@Micah-Woods so if you leave away from home only with your tablet you can use your tablet offline away from home while you don't have your phone together but it works either by mobile data or wifi as long as your phone is connected right?
@@lastixen yes, you need a data connection for your tablet in order to receive the calls and texts from your phone.

This feature is limited to Galaxy Tab S and neither on the Tab A & E, right?

Note 20 ultra doesn't have the CALL AND TEXT ON OTHER DEVICES setting. Is there another way

I'm confused. Just got a S22 Ultra and found this feature in settings so I tried it with my Note 9. When I try to toggle it on in my 9, I get a "No sim card" error.
They are both on the same wifi so why would I need a sim to emulate the phone? Does your tablet have a sim? Why would I need a separate sim if it is all under the same phone #?
Idk. Samsung seems like they play fast and loose depending on region and model if they feature works properly or not.

If you're not with T-Mobile, the feature isn't supported anywhere else.

It should, yes. Actually, it may not. Like deleting a thread? It probably won't delete off the phone.

@@colekwan2378 that allows you to send the message directly from the tablet's sim card or from your phone's sim card.

Whatever name you see, that's what will send the message.

Yes you can. iPad and your iPhone have to be using the same account info as well. You can also receive messages on your laptop/iMac as well.
That's something Samsung and Google have been trying to emulate.

Just got done chatting with samsung. verizon/att removed the call and text options from the devices so if you got your devices from them youre screwed :/
