- Healthy good fats for breakfast. Easy recipe to start your day. Fisherman's eggs taste amazing and are nutritious. Sardines!
Fisherman's eggs:
2 medium - Shallots
1 can - Sardines (in olive oil)
3 cloves - Garlic
1 bunch - Parsley
3 medium - Eggs
1) Drain the can into a hot cast iron pan. Hold back the sardines.
2) Chop the shallots and garlic. Add them to the pan. Cook until soft.
3) Add the sardines to the pan, break them up and mix with the shallots and garlic.
4) Finely chop a small handful of fresh Italian parsley. Layer it on top of the pan.
5) Crack the three eggs on top of the parsley. Once they start to cook on the pan take off heat and place in the oven 350 until eggs are cooked. Serve with hot sauce. Enjoy.

The thought of sardines make my stomach rumble because they're delicious and I'm hungry! My grandmother would eat them when I was little and I started eating them with her. I love them now. She got me into a lot of old school stuff I still love and encouraged my cooking and now I'm a professional cook. She passed away from Covid a little over a year now. Every time I crack open a can of sardines I kinda laugh and think of my other fun grandma memories. Virginia Brown was her name. Thanks Grandma.
That's a nice memory, and, your grandma was spot on when it comes to sardines. I love em too 👌
Old Bay in a sardine recipe?? BRILLIANT!
FINALY! I’ve been requesting sardine recipes to all the keto-cooking YT channels with zero results. Thank you for highlighting such nutritionally dense fish in a very wholesome way. Definitely making this. I love the simple, natural recipes. Good job Rob 😘
You are right - I don't see them often! I love them too. The sardines from Costco are amazing!
it's hard to make a "popular" video on sardines! I didn't think this would go viral but I thought it was important
Same here. Nobody seems to do much with sardines despite their nutritional benefits and low cost. I'm glad I saw this one.
I have been afraid of sardines, you my friend have converted me! Absolutely delicious, thanks for sharing, cheers mate
I really liked it. 💖
Super power breakfast. Time to try sardines again!!!
Yes sir! I know you love fish.
always looking for staple pantry items! I like to do salmon and eggs so why not sardines and eggs!? Genius. Yup Old Bay is the way to go I grew up on the Chesapeake. I do a variation with Spam and kale with cheese and eggs for my ditch diggers breakfast (I'm a ditch digger) and it keeps me going all day
Dude! Looks bomb! Really diggin the channel bro, hope you get the pub you deserve👍🏽
Love it
Ohhhh this recipe just looks amaaaazing

Matt from Keto Connect needs to see this! He's obsessed with them. Costco has THE best deal for quality sardines.

Sardines=so yummy! pickled herring is the bomb too.
I used your recipe this morning and it turned out absolutely delicious 😋. It’s definitely going to be on our menu. I did add spinach and red pepper. Even my fussy eaters loved it.
Thank you for sharing. 🙏🏾
Just subscribed 🙂
Thanks, I'm going to make this one.

Excellent job
Great video!
Excellent cook. Love all your recipes!
Looks bomb.
Possibly the most nutritionally ideal breakfast.
Amen Chef!!
Music is great. The part with the egg sliding off was hilarious. About to cook it now
I have been eating sardines for 50 years but only on Ritz crackers with hot sauce. This recipe looks delicious. I will definitely try it.
Having lived in Maryland for 20+ years (now in FL) I noticed someone entered "Cajun Spice" in big letters when you were putting the Old Bay in the pan. Old Bay is the only seafood spice I use. I miss steamed crabs but I don'tmiss cold weather. Thanks for the video.
Wow! This recipe is so darn good!
I like it with the old bay…adds a good flavor. You can add veggies you think will be good ( I added arugula and asparagus) This is now one of my go to meals for sure. Thanks for sharing
Cool version of shakshuka. Thinking I'll use rotel tomatoes in lieu of the old bay seasoning. We have a large jar of old bay in our kitchen cabinet as we love it as well. Just love shakshuka. Great share Sir. Thank you. Most excellent!
The recipe and your artistic touch on making this video ❤❤❤
looking good thank you brother ❤
Everytime I make it, its bomb
Looks delicious! We picked up some sardines at Costco last week and have been trying to find new ways of eating them. We'll have to give this a try. Thanks for sharing!
Yes of course. How do the Costco ones taste? Did the kids eat them?
The Costco ones are pretty tasty. We were actually surprised that our 7 year old really loved them with scrambled eggs. He compared them to salmon, which he loves, so that was a huge win!
Dude. You have a fresh new subscriber and Canadian friend.
I cooked this tonight, while following the video step by step. I can see why they call it Fisherman's eggs. It is incredibly Hardy, zesty, and the parsley onions and garlic Mary the eggs in the fish. Plus, sauteing the onions and garlic in the olive oil of the fish was a really nice touch. I thoroughly enjoyed this dish.
Oh, and I used the Old Bay
I love this recipe. It's been in our breakfast menu for over two years. Me love sardines.
Same here :)
Yea for Old Bay!
And I’ve never lived on the East Coast.
Wow! This is an interesting way to cook and eat sardines that are mashed! I have always eaten it in the lovely style of Indian tomato curry powder, chilli & onions. Your recipe looks yummy too:)
Amazing thank you great ! I added avocado for some extra health boost
Looks absolutely delicious and tasty 😊
dinner tonight! Thanks!
Omg.. just made this. It was amazing. I put lotsss of oldbay and some hotsauce
Old Bay 🙌🏽 love that stuff
Omg so delicious and filling I didnt have parsley so I substitute some spinach and scallions in its place and instead of Sriracha i drizzle some spicy brown mustard 😋 this is definitely my new Saturday morning breakfast
So I am only trying this because everything I have tried on this channel has been amazing. I really dont mind the little fish but this combination is going to be a first. Thank you.
Good luck. I think you'll be surprised that the fishy taste is almost undetectable. try adding a scoop of tomato paste.
Thanks for the content chef, I used to work on a Scallop boat- we was spoilt!
T-H-A-N-K-S...this is the It!!!
Yeah, this is a pretty good recipe. Don’t plan on eating this for lunch or basically an time you might be within close proximity to strangers a few hours afterwards. Only tweak I might add is roasting the garlic ahead of time and just covering the pan instead of finishing it in the oven.
Thanks.
I didn't have sardines but I had canned kippers (herring) and made this... definitely going to be a go to breakfast for me from now on!
Kipper are almost identical in nutrition as sardines. I think kippers are just a little bit lower in protein.
Thanks Rob! I shared this to my personal Facebook page. I am happy to see your channel growing!! :) ~Teresa
Teresa thank you. I'm glad my content was worth a share, it really helps me grow!
Your editing/text overlay is fab.
So for meal prep could you make it a day before put it on the fridge and eat it next day or will it taste bad idk feel like some good isn’t good after reheating
Have you tried it with anchovies? Think that would work?
Looks good brother 👍🏽
As always, FLAWLESS!!! Near Fail with that runaway egg though! lol😂 Hoping for your take in choux soon. Eclairs would be nice! Take your time and perfect it.
whoa. Eclairs? I added it to my list. I'll try!
Love sardines and eggs but can't image them together. HOWEVER, I will give this a try. The idea of the garlic and olive oil sold me. Any suggestion how I can cook the yolk of the eggs fully (don't like runny yolks)?
Sure thing. give the eggs a quick flip in the pan after the whites set (one minute of cooking after the flip for firm yolks)
I just left it in the oven a lil longer on low broil, that cooked the yolks cooked all the way through.
This guy is cool 😎
wow, i have been looking for this.. thank you!
finally someone that knows how to use the crab-fingers when cooking...........i feel more confident about this guy already..............hahahahha
God damn this is making me hungry
Saw the fisherman video. I'm keto, I hope to find more keto recipes here.
Hey Rob. There isn't a link to that pan you are using. Where'd u get that pan?
Try Tony Chachare's seasoning. That's cajun!
Thank you for fast forwarding through the chopping ….. so tired of having to watch 10 minutes of chopping to get to the end of a recipe. Can’t wait to try this. Thank you thank you thank you
We love hipster food. It’s how we roll also. Roll on.........
Can I try this recipe with tuna?
Handsome guy !
Looks delicious I’ll try this week
Yum! And finally - a recipe for Sardines. You are precious, by the way. But, Dude - Siracha has loads of sugar in it. NOT KETO -
Is talking with your hands a California thing or CZcams thing? By the way I like all your videos:D
it's an Italian thing I think. Thanks for joining Will!
What size cast iron pan do you have?
I clicked on this channel because I searched for people that fast 72 hours since I do this as well and subscribed because I see ur a surfer🤙love the recipes too! But will u show more surfing and spots u surf?
Sounds like a fun video to make. Sure thing Christine!
Have you surfed while fasting? its exhilarating
Christine Mccurley wow a surfer too :) I hadnt noticed the surfing. Dang
The Keto Chef I live daily fasted 18-20 hours.i do MANY things fasted..i just finished a 72 hour fast a day ago..i still do my workouts and train 8 clients a day.ride my skateboard, snowboard, motorcycles..i do alot of things fasted ..higher level of enlightenment
Yes. I will make this, but I will use 4 eggs 😉
Idk Chef...not a fan of sardines but if you say they're bomb in this dish I MAY just have to try it. 😱
Honestly (neither was I) this dish hides any fishyness well. Try adding a scoop of tomato paste in with the onions and garlic. That's how i had my first fisherman's eggs. Super good!
didn't know sardines were keto, I will definitely try this recipe.
Xanthippus you should only use fish in water because of the GMO oil in oil packed tins or cans. The oil is fine for keto but GMO soy, corn, palm etc oil are not what you want for a healthy body. Either read the label or buy packed in water.
Does it have to be cast iron?
I legit eat this on the regular
🖤👌👀😜
I love sardines but for me I personally would take the spine out, not a fan of the bones. It seems like an unlikely combination but definitely will try it.
