  • Jeff Wayne, Composer, Producer and Conductor of Jeff Wayne's Musical of ‘The War of The Worlds’, joined us to talk about why he believes ‘The War of The Worlds’ has had such an enduring appeal over the last forty years.
    This Novemeber and December, ‘The War of The Worlds’ will be celebrating it’s 40th Anniversary with a UK Arena Tour and Jeff will once again be conducting The Black Smoke Band and ULLA-dub-ULLA strings live on stage!

    1978 till now 2022 stay strong stay safe Jeff and cast stay strong sending luck hugs love from headway Nottingham UK takecare I remember musical with justin Haywood Russell Watson tara blaise absolutely brilliant well done everyone I have hypoxia brain injury I died 26minutes spent weeks months in coma rehab hospital learning talk walk again been a recovery massive discovery never ever give up on yourself many will never yourselves keep going doing amazing things I remembered you all why because worth remembering sending luck hugs love from headway Nottingham UK takecare xxx

      Amazing stuff! My Mum brought my Dad the Vinyl double album for his birthday in the Sept 1978... I was only 5month old lol! And from then my dad never stopped playing the album.. At one point my dad had to stop playing it for a while as it did start playing on my mind a bit too much and started to cause scare me lol! I use to scream and cry at the red weed 🤣 Lol

      @@sarahkorver2439 That’s lovely, and what an amazing gift 😂 I’ll make sure to play it around my future kids often, but I don’t think they’ll mind as much as their native language won’t be English. I still listen to it a lot and I went to the WotW experience in London twice during the past year. I think I might have gone again if not for the corona virus (I live in Sweden).

      If you get the chance its a MUST! I hope you can manage to see the show sometime.. the show is Incredible! I was 3 rows from the front when I went to see it.. its a breathtaking experience! And to see Jeff Wayne for real was awesome! I was brought up from the original 70s album as a baby, and now my children are fabs too. X
