    The 2018 Tudor Black Bay Fifty Eight M79030N-0003 is encased in 39mm of stainless steel surrounding a black dial on black and gold fabric strap. Tudor manufacture caliber MT5402 has been created and sized specifically for the smaller and thinner Black Bay 58 case size.
    Functions include hours, minutes, and seconds. The watch also measures 12mm in thickness and 47.7mm from lug-to-lug. A Tudor NATO strap in black and gold matches the gold plated Tudor "Snowflake" hands and hour indices of this vintage tribute dive watch.

    As small of a detail as it may seem, in person the bevels on the lugs look so much better on the smaller case. It looks like an afterthought on the larger BBs but on the 58 it really classed up the lugs.

    My favorite and I think the best Tudor ever made. And I’ve seen one for sale new at my local Rolex AD (I don’t know how it is in other parts but that local AD sells a number of brands apart from Rolex) and elsewhere for that matter. It’s luckily not that hard to find like all of Rolex’s steel sport/tool models. And one I could consider purchasing down the line after saving up!

      I always found people not liking the lume colour a funny point. The colour of the lume suites the watch much like other watch brands using different coloured lume like bell and ross or nomos. Do you think it would be better white? I think it would give it a totally different look.

    Repluca watches (Chinese or not) even those supported by massive AD/grey market marketing don't get respected. Imagine Porsche makes a repluca of their 911 model vintage 1963 and sells it as WV. How much Porsche, Ferrari, Mercedes or Volvo owners are going to respect it. It's possible high-school and college students gonna love it.

    • @witerski
      @witerski Před 5 lety

      41 is better. It's a dive watch for crying out loud. The 58 looks like something someone would wear on a sailboat that never touched the water. A dive watch should be a dive watch. Bulky, rugged, bold. This is, I don't know, some nostalgic fad.

      I have the BB58 on the bracelet. I have to say, the watch itself doesn't scream "look at me" or do anything else extraordinary. What it is above all else is a watch that is a perfect blend of old school heritage, modern build quality, and every day wear-ability. It's a joy to own and wear.

    • @OilBaron
      @OilBaron Před 5 lety

      Todd Campbell I respectfully disagree. The vintage aesthetic is forced and poorly executed. As for the rest of your comments the regular BB is equally as capable & goes about it far more honestly.

  • @witerski
    @witerski Před 5 lety +2

    It's a nice woman's dive watch. 41 mm all the way. And the gold colored font on the dial? NOT vintage. And by the way, almost every Rolex/Tudor got bigger each iteration. Why in the world go smaller now? If you want a vintage watch, buy a vintage watch. I just feel the BB58 is a bit of a poser.

    • @TheSpoovy
      @TheSpoovy Před 5 lety +4

      "Why in the world go smaller now?" -- Because people woke up to the fact that watches had become ridiculously large and looked stupid. That's how fashion goes, it's a pendulum, and the trick is not to get caught out at the extremes. 42mm+ watches are as silly as 32mm- ones.

    • @manosxatzidakis4930
      @manosxatzidakis4930 Před 4 lety +4

      Ok. So Sean Connery who was wearing the 38 mm Rolex Submariner ref. 6538 as James Bond was a woman? The "go bigger “ thing with watches is just a fashion that will be superpassed in a few years. The classic timepieces don't follow the temporary fashion..

    • @dstfno
      @dstfno Před 4 lety +2

      The vintage watch market is a nasty business. If you’re not an expert the chances you will get ripped off are very high and in either case you end up with a watch that is too valuable and fragile to wear regularly. Buying a new piece that’s styled after a vintage one is a perfectly reasonable thing to do.
