    Hi coach, may I ask for a favor from you ^^ I’ve been praticing alone with my wall for a while and still don’t know if there is any way to improve my self-practicing game. If possible could you pleaseee make a video about wall training. Or you can just give me drills that I can do to improve ^^ 😊

      Yes! This is a great idea. I'll definitely do this. There's a lot of things you can work on using a wall.

    This has nothing to do with this video but how do you get the ball to set farther when jump setting I can’t seem to get it very far

    • @melonk583
      @melonk583 Před 2 lety +1

      When jump setting you want to focus on your wrist movements. Setting it all in the wrist you use your arms but more wrist movement.

    HOW TO SIDE SPIN SERVE OR SIDE SPIN JUMP SERVE ???

    • @DennisJacksonvts
      @DennisJacksonvts  Před 4 lety +1

      To serve side spin, there are basically two things you need to change. 1) How your hand wraps around the ball and 2) The position of the ball. For the contact, instead of wrapping the hand over the top like you would for top spin, picture the face of a clock. Wrap your hand over at about 1 or 2 o'clock if you are right handed, 10 or 11 o'clock if you're left handed. And you need to toss the ball to that area (toss it so you can hit it at 1 or 2 0'clock for right-handed). Also, serve from near the sideline zone 1 if you're right-handed. Serve from near the sideline zone 5 if you're left-handed. This is so you can also have the option to easily rip the serve down the line from this position. You should also factor in the wind (cross-court wind, wind coming at you, wind at the back). For more on this, check out my video on using the wind.

    How a both a good passer?
    What a good passer training at home?

    • @DennisJacksonvts
      @DennisJacksonvts  Před 4 lety +1

      Raahin Orandig Yes! I need to create passing videos! I plan to do this soon. In the meantime, here are a few tips. At home, you can pass the ball to yourself continuously. This is good to do because one of the worst habits to get into when first learning to play is "swinging the arms" when passing. Bend at the knees/hips/ankles as you pass the ball to yourself continuously. Keep the arms straight with the forearm platform parallel to the ground. Stay low and move the feet. If you are in the habit of swinging the arms then this drill will be hard help you break the bad habit because this drill won't work if you swing. Also, if you have a wall to pass to, this is great to do with a wall. Pass continuously to a wall. Stand about a meter or less from the wall. The wall helps you to not swing because in order to do this, you will need to have the same bounce off the wall each time. And staying low the entire time is a must (don't stand up straight after you pass).
