@@ArcaneAgent What would change for the Charge Barbarian as Orc? Don't have the thiefling dlc, either way interesting channel!
I am streaming right now on Twitch like literally as you write this. Twitch.tv/thearcaneagent
@@ArcaneAgent I got the wildcards dlc today, see you soon!
@@Psykrom I'll stream on twitch Friday at 2pm EST. So you can head there now and follow me and turn on notifications and see when I go live.
Great stuff! Would take just 1 level of vivisectionist for the sneaks and instead 4 levels of dragon discipline (prereq 1 level of bard/archaeologist, 5 arcane knowledge invested). I'd start with 19 strength, 16 CON, lower DEX to 12, INT to 13 (trip), WIS to 9, CHA to 7. Grab 2nd level as Fighter and push back Barb, 1 free feat and heavy armor, kick all the later team skills in the bucket and get improved critical, blind fight instead. But that's just my style as a former nwn 'epic character builder'. I know some prefer to RP - but so do I - as a killing machine! What I did is grab 1 fighter level for heavy armor and bonus feat, went for 2 archaeologist to get uncanny dodge and took instead of barbarian invulnearable rager for more overall toughness. (Dragon discipline also gets 1 more bite at lvl 2, which should technically stack, lol!) and 4 STR for the 4 lvl investment, which is huge. Enjoy my tough killing machine! 1 FIGHTER, 12 invulnearable rager (fearless rage, DR/-), 1 vivisectionist (sneak), 2 archaeologist (uncanny dodge), 4 dragon discipline (+1 bite, +4STR). Should conclude at 28 STR without items and buffs at lvl 20. DR 8/- (+ the DR/- for elemental stuff).
I might even make a pure abysmal summoning sorc next week. Check me out on twitch as I start a new Life Playthrough . www.twitch.tv/thearcaneagent
@@ArcaneAgent sounds good, I will come back to check it out!
This build looks like fun!
Thundering Claw of the Bear God is a +4 Scimitar that could synergize with your Charge Barb:
Scimitar +4, Thundering (1d6 sonic), Shock (1d6 electricity), Wrath of the Bear God.
Wrath of the bear God:
Any creature struck by a critical hit, either from a natural attack or from this scimitar, becomes a target of lightning, as per the Call Lightning Storm spell (5d6 damage, 24 DC Reflex Half)
All Natural Attacks from both the wielder of this scimitar and the wielder's animal companion have concussive (1d6 sonic) and shocking (1d6 electricity) modifiers applied to them. If the wielder is wild shaped into a bear or if their animal companion is a bear, the sonic and electrical damage from their attacks is increased to 1d10
I was using this on a straight ranger build and I understand that the Druid wild shape feature of the weapon might be bugged... but worked well for my guy.
Yeah but that stinking weapon is so late game
can't wait for part 8 of the playthrough, love your builds!
Its on my puter, just need to edit it
The nat armor bonis from Beast Totem should stack with the amulet of nat armor because Beast totem provides an unnamed bonus while amulet of nat armor gives an enhancement bonus to nat armor.
Hmmmm I shall have to test it with a new barbarian I am working on...
Sling Staff is the ultimate weapon.
Is it though ?
Longswords, the weapon of choice for Paladins.
Or for people who like longswords
Great build again. But what I like to see is the standard companions you get brought to something decent if possible. Work with what you get. Make the "standard" Amiri into something usefull maybe? And without the respec from zero please... Thanks!
I will...except my game is broken. So I have to play it back up to my level with a non respecced amiri
As for which weapon build to go for next, I vote claw. Your druid/monk can do the same kind of thing when shifting to Smilodon, which gives 4 claw attacks, a bite, and pounce (so 5 attacks all at full BAB on pounce). It's actually much better than using the Air Elemental, which only gets two slams. Still fast and high AC, but with weapon focus claw, cornugon smash (I go with a 16 STR build for it), and 4 levels of Thug you can basically fear them constantly while keeping them slow and sneak attacking them to death while cruising at 60 speed.
Oh I like this...
Bite attack actually get -5 penalty unless you have two-weapon fighting (or fighting unarmed), as it's considered secondary weapon.
Yep. The benefit of this build was getting more attacks with bite
Dual wielded Bastardswords look dope. 'nuff said.
Dual wield quarterstaves
well, looks like I know what I'm going to respec Amiri as. Yet another wonderful video Liquid Plays.
So powerful. Very much power. Such build
I can’t wait to see the dual wield version.
Dual wield charge barbarian?
Yes!
Hmm...i can do this
This is actually the exact build i gave Amiri only the version with the invulnerable ranger
Yeah. The only deal for me was that invulnerable didnt get the uncanny dodge
@@ArcaneAgent Did they fix it so that the ghost rogues can't sneak attack you with improved uncanny dodge?
In not sure
I'm absolutely loving your builds. I just started playing about a month ago and feel like your videos are some of the best for Pathfinder Kingmaker. The Charge Barb is absolute beast and I'm enjoying my playthrough with it so far. I know it's not your usual build, but I'd love to see a Monster Tactician build or other Pet type build. Also, any three character synergy recommendations?
I'm working on some builds as a part of a series where the 3 front liners all have a companion feat combo
teamwork feats
@@ArcaneAgent Sounds awesome!! I've seen a few other pet type builds, but no one breaks down and explains the build as good as yours! :) Keep up the great videos!

I’d like to see some hammer builds.
I like hammers, and hand axes as well
another great intelligent build.
Thanks!
what a nice build dude!!! :D
Thanks, gotta work on some more
Traps will destroy your stupid charging Barbarian. It is never smart to charge into a group of enemy. The Sorcerer eliminates the whole group from a safe distance.
K then play a sorcerer
Falchion or great sword. Two handed for 1.5xstr, only requires martial weapon proficiency.
I like the falchion, have since nwn1

My favorite weapon in the game are the bombs.
The bombs are good. I wish you could craft grenades more than just alchemist fire and acid flask. Give me some thunderstones or tanglefoot bags
Fix Harrim lol.. I begged you :( Before Groetus claims him.
Harrim is bae
Can you please do a linzi and a jaethral build
Yeppers
So.. if you pop mutagen before your fights feral bite will never trigger.. maybe grab weapon focus instead
Feral mutagen also gives me feral wings
Would love to see a build around a sling staff build 😆
I'm glad you put that laughing ☺️ because you understand all of the sling staffs in the game are trash
Yep hence why I'd love to see a build around it 😉
FYI: You don't get claw attacks unless you aren't wielding a weapon. But you do get an extra bite from Animal Fury. Tested it. Is it still worth it going all the way to Beast Totem Greater? I've seen other builds go into other classes instead of going all the way to Barbarian 10.
Greater beast totem gives you a full pounce. I stinking love it
where did you get your portrait?? I want to follow your build but I feel like I need that portrait for it to be perfect edit: found it, they took it off the nexus but I found it another way. Thanks for the video!
Huzzah
Has anyone ever tested if Outflank and Seize the Moment actually stack? For me, these two feats sound like they do exactly the same thing, just from different directions. But because every participant must have the feat, it doesn't matter whether you get an Attack of Opportunity because your ally managed to crit, or if your ally managed to crit so he gave you an AoO. The result is exactly the same.
Do you actually get 2 AoO's if you have both? (which could explain why Combat Reflexes with its bonus AoO's is a prerequisite for Seize the Moment) Anyone ever checked?
Sounds like something I need to invest some time into
@@ArcaneAgent I just recently bought the game and have absolutely no prior Pathfinder experience. No clue what's going on so I wanted some help. Your guides were the first decent looking ones I found on youtube. Thank you very much for these well thought out and very cleanly presented builds :)
I went looking off youtube as well, and reddit seems to agree (as much as reddit ever agrees that is) that the two feats don't stack.
The Attack of Opportunity for each feat purportedly appear in the combat log, but only one of them is actually rolled and deals damage.
I came to the game a tad late so all the threads were quite old though, no clue if that's something that was fixed during a patch.
Hmmm. Ill have to check it out for sure. Also at level 10 rogues and vivisectionist and slayers get to pick a feat called, "Opportunity".
Pretty much whenever someone hits someone with an attack, you get 1 extra attack of opportunity that round
They don't stack. I checked with bag of tricks having auto crits and checked all possible combinations for ordering. If you have both what happens is this: Let's say A crits. He assigns damage and then B gets 2 attack of opportunities but applies damage only once. Only inquisitor good with seize the moment and noone else because seize triggers even if your teammate shoots from range. Since inquisitor gets team feats for free and doesn't force others to get same feat is good for her.
-In case of a non inquisitor you would force a ranged class to get seize while it does nothing for it.
-And seize is absolutely worthless for melee since it does what outflank does but outflank gives +2 on attack and doesn't force you to get combat reflexes as well for sieze.
Because threaten=flank to kingmaker there is no point getting sieze.
@@panagiotisgoulas8539 thanks for checking it out!
Lets see a defensive tanking heal bot!
healing doesnt really work in pathfinder, even in this game. Its more of an after combat type of thing and in emergencies its used in combat.
You don't get a bite from Animal Fury, you already have a bite from your race.
Feral Mutagen also runs into the same problem but it gives you claws outside of rage at least
Edit : Also my favorite weapon in pathfinder unfortunately isn't in kingmaker. The whip from pnp has always been a fascinating weapon to me with the variable range. In Kingmaker my favorite weapon is the crossbow because ranged critical builds are entertaining
I am not sure if the bites stack or not in this version of the game. I'm fairly certain that they don't stack in the PNP
@@ArcaneAgent Yeah they definitely don't stack in PNP but I'm pretty sure I don't see them stack in Kingmaker either. I could be 100% wrong but that could actually be an interesting video is to just use a level 2 Teifling Barbarian and have him learn the Animal Fury rage power and watch the combat log to see if you're getting 2 attacks per round from 2 bite sources. Could make for an interesting Kingmaker science video :D
Science
Unarmed build please, preferably also a spellcaster :)
Spell caster unarmed..so like punching? Or shapeshifting?
Punch/Claw Dragon Disciple with full bloodline progression? I certainly tried...
Hrm. I can dork around with some dragon disciples
@@ArcaneAgent Punching, my power fantasy is relying on no weapons and no armor to deal great damage and be tanky. Being completely self-reliant. Having magic is an awesome bonus.
Self reliant. Can he grow his own vegetables too?
One of the best build guides I have ever seen in my life. Did not even realize this was possible. My main character is a cleric can do a cleric build next?
Is bad tbh. Outflank and seize don't stack. He gets outflank at level 10 or so while it is one of strongest feats and should be taken at lv 5 if possible or worse case at level 7 due to base attack limitations. He also skips lv 11 barbarian that gets extra attack from rage at that point for no reason.
This build is absolutely filthy^^ Nice one, Liquid!
I have a question regarding Ouflank and Seize the Moment, though. Let's say you have both these feats (and combat reflexes, obviously) and your DEX bonus is 2 for 2 possible AoO per round. Now, you and a buddy who also has those feats are attacking the same target, and one of you scores a critical hit. Does the other one get to make two Attacks of Opportunity against that target - one for Outflank, one for Seize the Moment? That's how it should work, at least, according to the wording of the feats.
Yeah its 1 attack of opportunity per dex mod
@@ArcaneAgent Wow, I'd wouldn't have thought that you could get two AoO from one occasion, but that's awesome! Time to revisit my party plans :D
@@sebastianwinkler5243 Doesn't work, check reddit.
Dart build!
Havent found 1 dart in the entire game
@@ArcaneAgent I know you can buy a masterwork dart at the trading post, but that's all I know of
Yeah exactly. Wooo. The complete reason that weapon crafting should be in the game
Just subscribed to your channel. Great stuff. Looking for a pure healer build for Harrim or some kind of pure healer type. Durable healer would be good as well.
Yeah I need to do a harrim build. Its my next goal
Barbarian Alchemists is up there with Military Intelligence and Honest Politician :D BTW If you are gonna go two handed weapon. Wouldn't a replacing the Vivi levels with 2 handed fighter level be pretty powerful?
Vivisectionist gave us some jive buffs and mutagen, but yes, 3 lvls of 2 handed fighter be nice
@@ArcaneAgent was more about a 50/50 split...? ever mess with that?
Yea I have. Ive got some other ideas for what imma do next
Quick question. In your point of view which build would you think will dish out more damage. Your MAD DOG build or this CHARGE BARB. build? I do like the Mad Dog cause of the companion.
I think any build with an animal companion is baller beast. I would go with an animal companion and some 2 dual weapon fighting build
Hello! I like your builds! There are very interesting and fun)
But how do you turning around a camera view?
And what about kinetist / range magus build? Will it work?
Download the camera rotation mod fro pathfinder kingmaker nexus.
A magus and kineticist both need lots of levels in their classes to be effective
Is there any way to utilize kinetic blast as actually weapon? After kinetic-thug video, I started to think, can reverse build be made? Like 1 kinetic, 19 thug - to combine kinetic touch attack with additional thug damage. It looks like bad idea in general, because I can't see any way to make more than 1 attack with kinetic blast per round, but against high armoured enemies, it could be good because of touch attack
Tried this, you have to re apply the kinetic blade over and over, and you don't get enough blasts per round to add up the damage a regular melee can do
@@ArcaneAgent so it is just bad version of arcane trickster
Kinda
@@ArcaneAgent I found a video (it is in Russian, but have video demonstration), where author says that with kinetic blade, if it cost 0 (level 5 kinetic, or, probably kinetic knight) you can make several attacks per round, depending on your BMA. The video link (time 12:40)
czcams.com/video/5bfx3rLjlsg/video.html
So, maybe kinetic knight 1 with fire element (for touch attack) with 19 rouge can be viable?
Also kinetic blade can get attack bonus from agility, as it is said in the video.
How about a duelist using dueling swords
What that's crazy
Will this build work with the new bloodrager in wrath of the rightous. Right now in playing a warpriest angel and having fun getting close to the end of act 3. But I think I want to start another playthrough being evil and go bloodrager tiefling motherless for extra attacks. Seems like a really fun build
Bloodrager tiefling serpentine lots of bites
0:50 Should've have gone with that betamax tape...
I'm having too much fun with your Mad Dog build to try this new barbarian build. No favorite weapon as of yet. Although I would be curious if you got any Inquisitor build. I specced Jaethal to your Aldori Defender....not lore friendly, but very OP. lol
The sad thing was that I recorded 22 minutes of the video before I realized that my camera stop recording
@@ArcaneAgent How's it feel to be sitting in a room alone and talking to yourself? lol
Did you uninstall & P:K? Your game may not be bugged after all; depending on the order of how you went to the Old Sycamore Tree determines the monsters you encounter.
Game isnt bugged. Well it messes up because of everything I run though it, but thats my bad
How about a Tongi Build?
Throwing Axe build? Berzerker? :)
Needs more throwing axes in game
isn't reckless stance better provided you have a bard? you would get no benefit otherwise
Sure if youre bringing a bard. You should check me out on www.twitch.tv/thearcaneagent
@@ArcaneAgent there is also the matter of followup feats, I'm not sure which path is the most beneficial.. lethal stance advancced improves criticals, for example.
@@Dan-uf2vh I like the lethal stance and all of the extra critical that follows. I stack combat expertise on a barb to take away their -ac
Hey man, great content, I'm working on a elven curved blade dex build, fighter two handed, monk and rogue build, What do you think? Cheers
I would go 3 levels of rogue for dex to even curved blade
Then I would go the rest in two handed fighter
@@ArcaneAgent No monk for wisdom based ac? also boost the will save. And crane style is a good one. Anyway would be curious to have your take on that if you find it interesting enough for a video. Cheers
Dwarven Ugrosh
Halfing need their own weapon types hehe
Do you play PnP DnD or pathfinder, because you would be fun destroying people's campaigns with your builds 😂😂 Keep them coming!
Sadly I don't play pen and paper Pathfinder or even D&D. I don't have many real life friends who would actually play with me. Also I don't really have the time to sit down and go through a pen and paper campaign
Interesting build. I've seen a lot of your builds focus on bite/trip. But do they work in the late stage of the game? There's so many mobs with DR that I dont think a 1d6 attack can get thru DR and so all those extra attacks are useless in the late stage of the game except the trip?
With cloak id think they are 2d6. And i think greater beast totem increases still further
The trip is more crowd control and a defensive tactic. Keep in mind that this video I was level 13 in a level 13 dungeon. So it was working there
I think the cloak does ad 1d6, so yeah
Great vids! Hey i was interested in a comparison vid. Lets see the most effective twf falcata build (seems there are two decent ones that have the furious tag that enhances them +2 further while raging) vs the most effective greatsword build. Any ways to get a few extra hits per round with greatsword?
I do like those furious weapons. Yet I REALLY like 18-20 crit ranged, REACH weapons. Man those be fun!
@@ArcaneAgent i beleive both those falcatas are 17-20 with improved crit.
Woops. The +2 decapitator is 17-20, fervent edge us 19-20. The lions edge is not furious, but it's 18-20
So fancy
I like crits
I was going to use this build for Jaethal but the weapon proc doesn't heal her. :(
Make a posidon build... With triend :D
Hehe. There arent many tridents in the game
The weapon I've been looking at or wondering about for a build is the Elven curved sword, like some kind of blademaster character, but I'm not sure I'm that interested in just going 20 levels of two hand weapon fighter, and being two handed it doesn't really synergize with sword saint that well.
i always hear displacement is good but i don't understand what count as total concealment, displacement only works when you do have total concealment right?
Displacement gives your enemies a 50% chance to miss you, they have to try to hit ya twice I believe
@@ArcaneAgent thank you

Is the Phylactery of negative energy working with the hand of damnation?
"Phylactery of Negative Channeling

Well I dunno
I kinda wanna test this...
How do you feel about vivisectionist + Arcane trickster?
Depends on what youre going for, melee/ranged sneak attacker, or a caster sneak attacker. If caster, stay away from viv trickster.
If melee, well you get a lot of sneak attack, bur you'll lose out on the viv mutagen advancement
How about the Starknife.
I really wish there were more star knives in the game as well as unique named star knives
At level 3 why do you not say anything about what feat to take? I saw you took dodge but does it not matter or?
I probably forgot to mention it because I are a dumb head
Yaaaaay!!!!
Hoooraaaah
Could auto trip work with THF tiefling also?
The only way that I've seen you be able to automatically trip people is with either the tripping cloak which is the cloak of the winter wolf, or by using the Monk. But tieflings have a bite if you're using the motherless heritage.
When wearing the cloak of the winter wolf anytime you bite somebody it provokes an automatic trip
Looking at the animations, are you doing 3 bite attacks per round???
I believe so, 2 from barbarian, 1 from tiefling
@@ArcaneAgent Just looked at the natural attacks rules. You can only get 1 natural attack per limb. I think I actually see 3 bite attacks sometimes because a bite gets cancel after the ennemy dies so you bite again after. Also, I think the automatic trip attack is provoking a separate bite animation without damage to trip.
@@kyuusei19 I will have to test this again in turn-based mod
Hey bud o/ My favourite weapons are punching daggers and natural weapons (claws).

This is in a level 12 to 15 area, so I had already progressed through the game to acquire said gear
Thank you for this build I always wanted to do a natural attack build. Question can this works if I go half orc instead of Tiefling motherless?
Yes, but you'll lose one bite from the motherless
@@ArcaneAgent thank you for answering my question. I have another question at low levels what should do when I have run out rage and no longer have any claws or bite should I another weapon?
If you don't have improved unarmed strike, probably
@@ArcaneAgent if I were to take the improved unarmed strike would replace that from dodge feat?
Sure, but then you won't have that +1 to dodge ac. And you need dodge for crane riposte and crane wing etc
Greatswords and Greataxes for 2h. 1h, all monk weapons.
Every of the monk weapons
@@ArcaneAgent I can't pick favorites :)
Bows?
@@ArcaneAgent Find them boring. But, they are so strong in this game. Thought of making a javelin build. Might be cool.
Not enough javelinss in the game though
In PnP version the bites don´t stack right?
I am not sure if they stack or not but the reason I grabbed as many bites as possible is because at some point you run out of Rage
What would keep you from biting twice?
@@Niemandzockt In PnP Pathfinder, if you gain a natural weapon, you gain the ability to attack with the relevant limb(s) - you don't gain extra attacks per limb. Some of those are "primary" and the others "secondary". You can make attacks with "primary" ones as if they were normal weapons (so a BAB 20 guy can bite 4 times). If you do a full attack and don't make normal attacks with a limb, you gain one free natural attack with that limb, almost as if you were dual-wielding. So if you are a BAB 1 humanoid and have a bite (head), claws (hands) and a longsword (right hand), your full attack can be: sword (the usual attack with right hand), bite (bonus head attack), claw (bonus left hand attack). It's a bit more complex than this, but you'll have to read the rulebook.
Nerd hehe
