I agree on more classical pronunciation of [ˈmeɪɡəs] or even Latin [ˈma.ɡʊs] instead of [ˈmeɪd͡ʒəs], since it is closer to the original, and there's nothing in the ending that calls for the change. In plural, I have to agree on the form [mæd͡ʒaɪ] to be in line with Modern English phonetics.

Heyo man, Seize the moment doesn't work together with Outflank, for your information. Because they works in the same way-they give an additional AoO if one of your allies lands a critical hit. In the end, you will only get one AoO with both feats taken.

just be aware that it does not work the same way in the table version of pathfinder.
The game version of eldritch scions bloodline is of the sorcerer version bloodlines and the tabletop version of eldritch scions bloodline is of the Bloodrager (which is not in the game) version of bloodline, and it is a bit different than what he is showing here. But you could talk to your dm to change the bloodline to the sorcerer bloodline instead :)

Thank you so much for sharing this build! I'm actually running it on Wotr with the devil mythic path and it's just insane. Do you think getting vivisectionist at first level is a good idea? (for the sneak attack and the strength mutagen)
I mean an extra 1d6 sneak attack is nothing to scoff. Also that extra 2 to str is decent for sure
Spellstrike works really well with the Fauchard. I'm surprised you skipped atleast 1 touch spell.

I have literally paused my initial run to play one of his builds first. I loved playing a shifter druid in Neverwinter Nights (Udrentide and Underdark not the first one if you're familiar) and he pulled off something similar here combining Sorcerer and Druid.

Two-handed weapons still work with Spellstrike, you just can't combo Spellstrike with Spell Combat. It would probably still help a lot to get access to Melee Touch spells
Hey! First of all, awesome builds I must say. Currently trying this one cause loved the concept, though a I made a few changes (dropped Seize the Moment to get earlier Outflank instead and and sinergise with other chars earlier). But, the only real issue I have is the weapon choice, not because I don't like Fauchards, but because there aren't any 😂. I have everyone else on my team running around with laser beams and I'm still using a Masterwork Fauchard (yeah, enhanced with Arcane weapon, but still missing other cool effects, especially from unique weapons). Reach and crit range definitely makes it one of the best weapons but man, they forgot about adding any in the game

I actually am editing a new video. And it's another may-ghus. Using a bardiche, pronounced bar-deesh
I like the sword saint veesion better, in main campagin even more. Start with 1 lvl of Scaled fist monk for crane style, and crane riposte later. 1 lvl of vivisectionist and acomplished sneak attacker for some added damage. Then sword saint all the way. Hits like a truck, rarely gets hit.
I'll have to try it I guess. But this vivisectionist gets almost full sneak dice, as well as mutagen strength which stacks with every other strength

Hey! Thank you for your builds, they are great! I am about to start Eldritch Scion playthrough and I can't decide which build to go for. Should I go for this one or for your Reach Magus build? I feel like spells in this build are mostly for buffing but I would like to use offensive spells too. On the other hand the Reach Magus build is quite old and I don't know if it still works and if this newer build just isn't better. Which one would you suggest?

Grab a 2 handed reach weapon or a fauchard and start swinging. Get as much strength as you can and strength buffs

Over 100 hours played over 9 save slots as just beat the Stag Lord for the first time with a 2H fighter last night. I'm just not feeling it though..
Being on Xbox sucks because we can't mod or level chars to see how builds will turn out. "Maybe" think about some console geared builds?
Either way these vids are a godsend.
Do you have a "Death Knight", "Anti-Palladin", "Hellknight"..."Shadowknight" type builds? Trying in vain to make a LE, armored melee with "evil" theme spells.
I have a whole playlist which requires no mods. And this video will also have 0 mods! So totally works for console
yeah man, look at the alignment for dieties for the claric. Channeling negative energy works well, you can do it in full plate/armor, doesn't take many level dips. you can get inflict wounds and depending how many levels you go, you can get much cooler shit as well.
Inquisitor is also really fun to play with as well. Several of the sublcasses are dope. You can get a pretty badass pet and it gets your teamwork feats so you don't have to use your other companions.
lawful evil monks are pretty dope too. I have a lawful evil monk with 3 levels inquisitor and 3 levels knifemaster and uses sais so does d8 dmg for sneak atk, uses sais which are monk weapons so proc's the extra flurry of blows attacks as well, and gets all the teamwork feats so is constantly exploding people with full round attacks. Because of weapon focus/finesse u get in knifemaster, i dump statted her str and cha and started off with +5 for each and it's much easier to just stack 1 stat(dex) for hit/dmg/ac.
there is also an amulet u get early in the game that lets you do that with unarmed strikes as well.
It's not hard to do it with 2h fighter if you want to as well. Pick the right weap class you wanna progress in and get 13 levels in fighter for the weapon specialization feats, plus the armor training bonuses.
make sure to do a 1 level dip in monk for the cha or wis to AC plus dodge, wil saves and extra feat.
make sure to do 1 level dip into vivisectionist for the mutagen(+4 to any stat and +2 natural armor) and a sneak attack die.
If you're playing with a full party, then 13fighter+1monk+1Viv is pretty much endgame so get the viv and monk levels early if not right away.
if you're playing with a 2-4 man party and you have 'only active players get experience' you can get to level 20 if you do all the quests and pass all the checks. I have a 3man squad that just hit chapter 3 and am level 12-13 already.
what I might reccomend doing is blasting through the game super fast on easy with a fun character you like to play and just smoke everything. Don't worry about completing every quest etc, and when you get to the very end, just make sure you have enough money to buy a mercenary at that level.
then, you can save, buy the merc and play with a bunch of different build ideas to see how it looks/works.
thats kind of what I'm doing right now, playing on normal with a small group, so i'll hit 20. then i'll play with level 20 builds for an unfair playthrough that i will min/max like every aspect of a 4 man team i'll take to the finish line.

Hey bud, I think everything he did was available for the consoles (not counting his forced leveling up the toon). Nothing was different than the vanilla version of the game, so it was a decent build. Not the way I would have taken them, but still a solid toon.

Dimension door is a top tier spell in endless dungeon, mostly if you play turn per turn
Many small space and you can't move as you want, dimension door gives you a solution :p
It also helps you completely reposition almost dead npcs to the back of the line
This might be a dumb question, but is this build good for the campaign or just the endless dungeon
I played his build Slayer Deliverer 7 const needed to rest non stop so.. He doesn't rly play this builds just patch something up together. 9 const? fuck no. He has vast knowledge of the game so you can learn something but be selective

I've just started the game with a Magus-Eldritch Scion build but I have one question: my character runs around with one handed weapon in one hand, and the other arm raised up like he's holding a fu***in lantern or something but the hand is actually free (for Spell Combat). Is he going to be like this all the time? With one arm raised, like he's (again) walking in darkness with a lantern in his hand? It looks incredibly stupid and I've actually stopped playing for now because of this.

@@jacobmartinez1986 monk for more stats to armor class, depending on the kind of monk you can add wisdom or charisma etc to your armor class, and it stacks with shield spell on top of that. The Int version gets the highest armor values I believe, I never played one.

Possibly yeah. But I use masterworks and then any characters that can cast magic weapon and greater magic weapon to help with that
Quick question: why does this build avoid touch spells? I thought that was a core mechanic of the eldritch scion? If I don't take any expertise in fauchard and stick to a 1 handed melee weapon, maybe a Longsword or elven curve blade and spread my stats amongst str, dex, con and char, would utilizing touch spells work be a better option?
What is the difference between a Fauchard and a Halberd!?
Fauchard is exotic, its also higher crit range at 18-20 instead of 19-20 or 20

Haste buffs you, and buffs your party
@@ArcaneAgent riight. & in your video you said you're not gettin it to haste the party but yourself. So @ that pt I'd figure hasted assault would grant more since it scales. Or do you actually use haste & just not for this current example?
Hasted assault is almost a feat that you have to toggle, it uses your arcane pool points. I'd use another pool point for something else like holy mod to weapon

This is my personal favorite build! I prefer using a longsword since you get the benefits of 2 handed damage and dual wielding spells. Demoralize also stacks amazingly well with your offensive and defensive options.

@@Aedrion- I didn't personally since Scions don't get full BAB. It was a while ago, but I think I took a feat to increase the DC of my save or suck spells. The Fear penalty also increases your save DCs.
Remind me, does mirror image get taken out by area of effect spells?

What talent at 19 level?
is it just me or are sorcerer builds strictly superior to magus/scion builds? I just don't see anything that the magus gets that makes up for losing so many spells compared to sorcerer, you can get a lot of melee/tank stats from some of those 7-9 level casts on top of any damage spells that you can pump out, and you can even choose to dual wield. just earlier I saw a wisdom based sorcerer with 1 monk and 10 eldritch knight and dual wielding it seemed like it was just fine on melee damage and laughted at everything the game had to offer, and it had the choice of spells or swords. seems like magus gimps its casting power a lot and from what I can tell its spell strike just gives it one extra main hand strike to launch its touch spell? eldritch pool is interesting and all but does a few points of damage really make up for losing spell levels 7 through 9?
I love the concept of magus as a class but unless it's a sword saint tank build it just doesn't seem like it competes with base sorcerer even on the things it was supposed to specialize in.
I do like how you managed to fit a dazzling display build into this either way. I do love sorcerers it's always been my favorite class but I feel like it just is kinda cheapened by how every other class is multitudes weaker.

My question with this. Maybe I'm a little less experienced with later levels but I'm trying this as I'm playing as an MC. Now I put mithral on him and the spell failure means I'm wasting so many of my spells. Why is this compared the video where you cast a bunch with no problems

New to pathfinder and table top in general. I chose this build and came looking to see if it would be good. Only thing that's different is I went dragon blood (gold) is that bad or no?
Does dragon bloodline give you the same +6 to strength bonus? If it does then sure use it
@@ArcaneAgent I dont think so. Think its a defense against fire and bonus to fire attacks. Plus some claws? So I really don't know if the trade off is worth it cuz the plus 6 to strength seems huge

Well ive got another tank build coming out with an easy 56 ac
Dip 1 level into Scaled fist and wear bracers of armour + monk robes and voila. Sick AC.
@@Aedrion- Yeah, Scaled cheat is an answer to all AC needs :). But I think that is a very good comment Aedrion, for everyone to notice that the build just needs a small adjustment to be also really tanky (if that is what You need :))

Hello, would this build work for dual wield weapons? Like rapiers? If not maybe other cuz i would really like to play a dual wield mage or something
It would, however dual weapons require high dex. This particular build relies on very high strength

You would need 19 dex for all of the dual wield feats, you would then need to find room for 3 feats- two weapon fighting, improved two weapon fighting, and greater two weapon fighting.
The dex is required for the feats, 19 Dex, which could be possible with a belt.
But this build I created was really based on pure strength

You can wear armor and swing a big sword. Don't use this guy as a solo caster at level 3

Why do you put 9 con 8 int instead of 11 con 7 int? I have been trying to find the point of the video where it's explained but haven't found it.
If it's for the additional skill points, would you still recommend 9 con 8 int in the newest Pathfinder game as it only gives 1 additional skill point at int 10 instead of 8? 8 doesn't give any and int 7 doesn't have any difference except -2 stat.
