CJ. I just tuned in, and I am very concerned about you and mom, WORKING IN THE EVER INCREASING HEAT, BECAUSE OF YOUR LOVE FOR , NOT ONLY YOUR WORK OH HELPING OTHERS.
MY SON, WHO IS A COOK OF 30 YEARS, has a cooling fan he wears around his neck, and, I went on Google just now and I also saw what is called the COOLING VEST. Please look into these items for you and mom. I am 74, not much means, but, I pray and seek out some way to be of help. I love you guys. My mom left me in 1997. I miss her so much, but, she, too, prayed for direction from God how to be of help, even if she had no monetary means to do so. Continue taking care of mom, especially in these coming days of heat, and yourself too. I love you. Trish, listen to CJ, ❤🎉😊❤😂😊🎉🎉🎉

Casey you need to get some sun clothing that keeps you sunsafe and cooler. Trish needs some soft cool packs to put under her hat. The summer is going to get worse before the end of it. Please start using some Gatorade powder in your water. Don't mow until after 3, then it's cooler a bit and mow first thing in the morning before 10am. I know it will cut into your mowing time, but your health is more important. Great job as always.

I worked for many years in temps over 100'.
    Some smart things to do.
    Wear light colour clothing.
Don't believe me but try it yourself.
Wear light colour clothing in direct sunlight and then try the same in dark clothing.
    Ditch the jeans for shorts.
Wear the widest all round brim hat.
    Drink plenty of cool water.
Not cold water because you'll never be able to drink enough of it.
I had a co worker and we'd drink about 4 gallons a day each.
Welcome to the deserts of Australia.

I am now an old man in my 73rd year. Two heart attacks under my belt and triple bypass surgery. Years ago, when we lived without air conditioning, people's cardio vascular systems were toughened up to better cope with high humidity. High temps are manageable if we listen to our bodies; however, it becomes potentially life threatening when humidity and heat come together.
Our pampered bodies are less able to handle them. Taking frequent breaks to rest and cool down are common sense. Postponing heavy work till later in the day, or start very early is also an option.
Even our animals look at us like we're nuts when we try to get them to go out in such extreme heat. They are now spoiled by A/C.

The heat along the humidity, along with poor air quality is no joke. I recently read an article about clothing colors that reflex the heat best, time to do away with the dark blues. Dark colors do not reflex the sunlight and absorb heat. White, light gray, tan, light pastels reflect sunlight hence you aren’t absorbing the heat. Dark color can absorb up to 80% c+ of the heat. With the increased higher than normal temperatures this summer we all need every little edge we can get to keep going safely. A nice cool wet towel/scarf around the neck always helps me. It’s so easy to forget to take those frequent water break when you just want to get done. I love watching the 2 of you, the relationship and friendship between mother and son is so refreshing. Please take care of yourselves and each other we love ya both. You always do such a wonderful job on each property you do, this one was no exception.

As a woman of an age close to your mum's I know how hard it is to say you've had enough, to admit that your body can't take the punishment it did 5,10, 15 years ago. Ageing can be unkind so don't beat yourself up. Be a bit more forgiving of yourself and take more rests none of us want to see blue lights or paramedics when we tune in. C. J. and Trish you have lived all your lives in Florida. Well CJ you have. I think you should just mow until maybe noon and stop. Go home nap and go back to mowing around 5 as it’s hopefully starting to cool down a little. It’s not worth getting heat stroked for that. Or for that matter dying. Take care please. I’m from Washington state where it doesn’t hit high temperatures until around 4pm. It keeps climbing all day. We usually only have temps in the 70’s but this year has been really hot with 90’s and humid. And Washington state isn’t really humid. I should correct that, western Washington isn’t humid that much but things are changing. CJ you need to get out of those jean. I know it’s to protect you from the weed eater but jeans hold the heat in when it’s hot and when it’s cold they are useless and you can freeze with them. Get a pair of shoes or those cool lightweight pants and use those guards like the “Aussies” use when they do yard work. Looks great as always .

Get rid of the dark colored clothing! Wear white. Get some white painters pants. They are baggy and let the air move around your legs. And a white tee a little larger than what you usually wear. our skin tight clothes is absorbing your body heat and catching the heat outside. Afraid bugs will climb up or leg? Tuck your pant leg in your socks.

I was born and raised in Northern California but at the age of 48 my husband and I got out of there finally for the Midwest. I keep an eye on California because I do have family there still and if they’re not in a drought or being flooded it’s just plain hot. I think it was in three digits for four weeks not too long ago 118 and with the heat index well over 120 and eight just didn’t want to subside and they’re cooler now but it’s still over 100. The one thing I realize early on when I first got here in 2002 that if it’s hot miserable hot in California the Midwest has nice weather you know 80’s and when they cool down to the 90s or upper 80s then we get hot here up to 100 or over. I never paid much attention to the East Coast because I don’t have anybody living there. Stay cool, think cool!

Guys come to Minnesota for the summer...... 52 degrees here this morning high of 72. Hardly any humidity feels wonderful as this time of year can be pretty hot here. Find someone to stay with and mow to your hearts content.......

Remember hot spots on your body feet growing under arms head. When you get over heated take off shoes in a overheated moment put ice pack under arms and growing area
You also need to eat drink plenty of water (salt packs) when sweating a lot I always have Gatorade or cool aid also

Trish can you drink powerade , gatorade, nuun tablets? I lived in fla. For 2 yrs and drinking water that wasn't frozen was better than shocking your system. Potassium from bananas, peanuts with salt, pretzels. Mow in the early evening? Be safe out there! 😊❤ just as hot here in Norfolk va.

How do you work Out in that heat. I was really worried about you Trish. I kept telling g you to take a break. That was kind of a difficult yard to mow. It was very beutiful home and landscaping. But as always y'all did a great job. God bless. BE SAFE!!
