The controversy of 15 York Avenue in Towanda has reached a loud crescendo of disbelief in Bradford County, Pa. The home where Pat "Francis Duke" Ballard wrote Mr. Sandman while he helped to care for his dying mother will not be recognized with a historic sign. This is despite Ballard's written quote :" My mother died in Towanda in 1953, where my wife and I cared for her in her declining last year. It was in our apartment there at 15 York Avenue that I wrote "Mister Sandman" which created over $8,000,000 worth of business, worldwide, and upon the royalties of which my wife and I expect to live for the rest of our days. Having no children, the residue is willed to my late cousin Esther's five grandchildren who live in California with their widowed mother."
Hopefully there are still some relatives or famous musicians out there who might plead with Towanda Borough to reconsider promoting this historic landmark. There are very few people on this planet who do not recognize this song and yet unless someone comes to the plate, this magical musical spot will join all the rest of the nondescript structures we drive by without notice.

Undoubtedly the sexiest rendition ever of Mr. Sandman. I think I will sell my The Chordettes vinyl record now. Interesting choice of costumes. Mr Sandman would have worked as a Flapper Era song ... played fast & furious to which folks could dance the Charleston.

Nei nostri concerti spaziamo dai tardi anni '20 fino ai nostri giorni (includendo arrangiamenti in chiave swing anche di pezzi dei Beatles e di film di animazione contemporanei!). Cerchiamo di dare a tutti brani un'impronta vintage ( sia sonora sia visiva). Non possiamo permetterci un cambio d'abito per ogni pezzo! in più quel concerto in particolare era in un locale che organizzava una festa anni '20... ecco spiegato il mistero ;)
