    Nice drill - you can also switch one in the square with one outfield. You can also build 2 teams of 3 working against the Ball and Switch this teams after 45 seconds to bring fresh players in abd give some time to recover

      Thank you! I’d say the best way is to study the game, ask questions, observe, experiment and understand your players. In order to teach you must learn to motivate. In order to motivate you must learn what motivates them.

    Could you also just play with 3 red in the middle to work on movenent and rotation of the midfield 3 and have 2 blue defenders?

    • @FormationFootball
      @FormationFootball  Před 11 měsíci +1

      Absolutely! We’ve definitely done this. You can also add a bumper and play with 3 defenders in the middle. It’s a very adaptable activity.

      For sure! That way they can also work on their counterpress and transition. Lots of ways to adjust the rules to bring out your topic.

    You actually need technical ability before tactics

      100% agree!

    • @arturoroblesruiz346
      @arturoroblesruiz346 Před měsícem

      I agree, nevertheless you can develop both at the same time. Tactics have different layers of complexity. The game by its self will develop both. That’s how kids in the streets used to learn them. The coach have to knows their players and their stage of development too.

      Best advice for this age is keep it simple and fun. Just keep them engaged with fun games that get them familiar with the ball.

    • @FormationFootball
      @FormationFootball  Před 10 měsíci

      It depends on the age level. Try to keep them between 8-12 yards. The size definitely creates different pictures mostly for the attacking team.

    When te 3 blue players get the possesion en they earn a point by playing to each other 3 times, what happens then ?

    • @FormationFootball
      @FormationFootball  Před 6 měsíci

      Every 3 passes earns a point and they can score in mini goals anytime before or after. As a variation you could reset the activity with the attacking team after 3 passes.

    No No NO : The title is completely wrong, you will not win a single match with these instructions to play.
    It is a shame so many coaches from all levels use this exercise, in different ways, but never focus on the main point of the game.
    The team in possession, when they lose the ball,
    the player who lost the ball has to transition immediately to high pressure on the opponent carrying the ball, followed by a second player,
    while other player close passing and scoring ways.
    A game is won by the ability to quickly disable the opponents ability to transition to attack.
    THE MAIN GOAL OF THE EXERCISE IS THE TRANSITION OF POSSESSION TO HIGH PRESSURE
    That is how Gardiola uses the Midfield box

    • @FormationFootball
      @FormationFootball  Před 9 měsíci +1

      I agree the activity can easily be used as a transition exercise as well. That’s the beauty of this exercise. There’s various things you can focus on depending on what the coach chooses. I’m a big fan of activities that can bring out different aspects of the game.
