  • You'll have obviously seen mastering 3rd man combinations are a fundamental piece as well (attracting pressure using the sole of the foot too, but I will once make another video on that).
    0:00 - Intro
0:15 - Compensating the low and narrow Double Pivot
2:22 - Narrowing to use the width better afterwards
3:38 - Double Pivot : when should one drop back ?
4:55 - Arriving into rather than occupying space
6:01 - The importance of runs in opposite directions
7:44 - Technique and feints to beat pressure
    8:34 - Outro

Very very Italian tactics and wonderfully explained by you. It's totally different to English football or the Spanish style type of play most teams nowdays are trying.
    Thank you

I don't know if these are very very Italian because Conte (the other famous italian when it comes to building up from the back) Teams' Build Ups are not that similar for example, so I think De Zerbi is very different. It's my opinion tho, I'm not an italian football expert.
Thank you very much for your comment !

Nothing more wrong. The search for space behind the opponent's lines, the search for possession of the ball, to try to have a better chance of creating dangers for the opponent, the search for numerical superiority when changing sides of the field and to go deep quickly, if the opponents come high to catch you, the search to be found in superiority to put defenders in difficulty in the choices whether to close an attacker or retreat is football.
RDZ (Roberto De Zerbi) is doing it very well as he always did in any team he went.

Great video!!! De Zerbi's concepts are developing a style that CANNOT be played by any team. Your pivots must excel first touches and have the ability to "sync" at the right moment. Also, very specific players are coming to Brighton... through hard data and meticulous planning they focus on keep evolving from coach to coach with the same squad.

Congrats! This is very deep analysis of the De Zerbi' football concepts we know very well in Italia! Just one question: why this out-out-out-dated audio track for your movie?

Thank you Andrea, more analysis to come ! I wanted some italian music, and it was the only one copyrights allowed me to use...

@@FUTBOL_THERAPIST I understand and I congratulate with you again on the quality of your tactical analysis, but believing that in 2023 this music is what we listen to in Italy is poor minded and also a false and even offensive stereotype... We never heard the sound of a Mandolino here... What if I would put the pirates' anthem for all videos related to England just because piracy was unique English legacy for more than 2 centuries from the past, wouldn't it be inappropriate?

    • @FUTBOL_THERAPIST
      @FUTBOL_THERAPIST  Před rokem +2

@@AndreaZaccardi Of course I know you don't listen to this kind of music nowadays in Italy, but I did find a version of Tarantella Napoletana would fit well with the video and I was happy with it... until CZcams saw it as a copyright infringement, and it's the only song among (from CZcams's recommended/allowed ones) that was able to somehow fit with the "Bella Ciao" from the end. Please don't take my last comment personally, I'm disappointed with the result as well to be honest.

I don't know how good De Zerbi's cooking skills are in terms of pizza, but you can definitely let him cook in terms of building from the back.

What if the opponent does not press or being attracted? Could this be cracked? I mean the first guy not running to the keeper.

Look at the scene against Leicester, Brighton progressed and then they move the ball to force the opponent to go on one side or the other, and then they switch sides fast.
