For those wondering: the reason Jason (and Hetfield) are doing the Nazi salutes and "heils" and marching is because the song is literally titled "Am I Evil", and the theme is just that: evil. What's more evil than Nazis? I bet the association popped in their head by the drum beat in the beginning, which sounds like a menacing army march. Also I bet some shock value. Most fans will know the guys obviously aren't white supremacists or something, but for new fans popping in, there's the explanation. Very touchy times nowadays so no way they'd pull something similar again lol

They later got better again but of course time takes it's toll and one in his 50s cannot perform such energetic music like someone in his 20s. But still, since the St. Anger Tour also was my first time seeing them live, it will always be special to me. Last time I watched them live was in 2019 and I still had a fucking blast. \m/
