The Los Angeles Rams: Professional Football's Returning Lolcow

- Lolcow (n) - A person or group of people laughed at for actions that they take, despite not trying to be funny. They may try to take themselves seriously, but they are often "milked" for laughs with or without their knowledge.
The Rams have returned to Los Angeles after a 21-year hiatus. An untapped market with lukewarm reception to the team, a stadium that's to be completed in 2019, and a pissed-off city in St. Louis. What could possibly go wrong for the Rams? The answer is a lot.
How badly is it going? Let this video explain. - Sport
I'd say this video withstood the test of time, didn't it?
No, I'm still not going 7-9.
I feel dirty saying this but after seeing how shitty their owner is, I'm cheering for new England. It's like me having to choose between Palpatine and the devil
Even if Satan is the Rams owner, I'm *still* not rooting for the Evil Empire because we can't have anything good in this world anymore. The Patriots are just guaranteed to win their 6th ring this year. Brady will *once again* win SB MVP, Gronk will retire as a champion, and the Empire will just continue to get stronger until either Brady retires or Belichick passes away. I'll admit, it'll be sad to see the Empire fall when the time comes, but we're *all* tired of seeing the Patriots winning, and making the Super Bowl.
Tree i swear to god if your prediction causes them to win you will be public enemy #2 in St. Louis, only behind Kroenke
@@DavidMrKidcolombia basically last years super bowl all over again lol
Goff looks good now.
Damn. He actually sounds legitimately mad in this video. The other ones were mainly satire and sarcasm.
With what happened in St. Louis and Waggoner Ranch, he has potentially devasted hundreds, maybe thousands of lives and resulted in one confirmed death. This transcends the world of sport and makes it into a real life issue. I have no tolerance for this kind of shit.
I totally get that. He sounds like a typical politician. He can piss off.
Schlasser AKA UrinatingTree I don't know whether to be happy that my Seahawks get 2 extra bye weeks from these guys, or be disgusted about the history of this franchise
No disrespect but I wouldn't call it two bye weeks when the Seahawks went like 3-3 in the last 6 meetings. From a Raiders fan.

Lewis K now it has aged well...
The Hawk Dude...the Rams play in sunny Los Angeles. They aren’t as adapted to freezing temperatures. It’s an unfamiliar environment. It literally happens to every team that isn’t used to cold climates. It has nothing to do with “being softies.” And just because we lost the Super Bowl doesn’t mean we’re back to the days of Jeff Fisher. We still have a really good team and a lot of weapons plus some new ones.
@The Hawk lol salty?
Lewis K yeah a year later they still suck and are in TOTAL CAP HELL

The Football Gods are cruel bastards. The city of St. Louis will now cry themselves to sleep.
And now it’s deserved for the kadri situation, your city stinks!
If it makes St. Louis feel any better, the Rams are a bad team again like they were six years earlier.
2019: So you make the Super Bowl, only to get shutdown by Belichick and the Pats, and Brady snaps the AFC to Dust. Good Job. You start strong, 3-0 to be exact and looking like you haven’t lost a step. Then Tampa Bay happened. Then San Francisco took over, you got desperate and traded for Jalen Ramsey, you got blown away by the Ravens, and then you let the Cowboys look good. There was still hope you can defend your NFC title. All you had to do is stop the 49ers on 3rd and 16, and you failed... twice. And now, you’re eliminated. No one feels sorry for you. Enjoy Cap Hell Rams. At least you have the Lakers or Clippers.
2020 Offseason: Remember Todd Gurley? One of the best Running backs in the league? He’s Gone now. You released him. Brandin Cooks? Let’s trade him to Houston. Remember, you have no first round picks until 2022, and you have to give Ramsey whatever he wants. You’re fucked Rams.
By the way, what the fuck is your new logo?
2020: So far, you are looking really good. 4-1, second in the west and have a huge matchup coming up against a San Francisco team that is in limbo right now. You can pretty much knock them out of the NFC West race with a win.
2020 Season, Week 6: You couldn’t get to Jimmy G, The Niners kept Aaron Donald in check, and the Niners got a much needed win. You are now 0-2 against teams that aren’t in the NFC Least. And now you are going up against a Bears team that is 5-1. Wait 5-1?
As a Rams fan this hurts but good job
I so read that with UT's voice lol. Good job!
May 2020: *You had the NFL's best home uniforms in the last 2 years, AND YOU STILL MANAGED TO FUCK THOSE UP!?*

After they lost the super bowl
I am a rams fan, I started getting into football the same time as the greatest show on turf but knowing what’s behind it and how awful the owner is I’m actually glad they lost, it’s even better that they got so close as it makes it even worse. That was karma for Kroenke being a shit person. I don’t want success for that man either.
Rams only score by 3 points lol ha ha
Jo Ro Unfortunately, this will be unlikely, as they’ll still be contenders. Even how much Kroenke is an a hole
Who’s back here after they won Super Bowl LVI? But it somehow feels…wrong.
All of the sudden this aged very well again
As a person, I feel for the city of St. Louis. As a Rams fan however, I'm happy to come back to this video and relish in the success after years of horrible football through my childhood and young adult life. SUPER BOWL CHAMPS BABY
To be fair, stan did revive the rams from relevancy by building the stadium and rebuilding the team. Which in result added more fans and they did win a super bowl or at the very least had a good season for the most part of the 2016-now Era of rams. Stan is rich, of course he had to step on toes to get to where he is, but he has done good things whether or not you like him or not.. I'm a rams fan so you may think I'm biased, but im not even a fan of stan himself. He seems so emotionless when winning the nfc championship and superbowl. Fuck eminent domain and fuck his lack of emotion. However, I do see what good he has done to LA. St.Louis felt what LA felt in 1995. Then again two wrongs dont make a right.
You could do a lolcow vid of Kroenke himself. The man is a franchise ruining machine! He has taken the two-time Stanley Cup Avalanche in Denver from perennial playoff contenders to the one of the worst teams in the league the past several seasons, especially this year. The Pepsi Center boasts a wonderful assortment of generic hot dogs, popcorn, and sodie pop at every...single...stand. But all is not lost: come watch the Denver Nuggets suck on live TV at their only adequate restaurant while the action happens a mere stone's throw away. Only Kroenke could have let go the 2012-13 NBA Coach (George Karl) and Executive of the Year (Masai Ujiri) THE SAME YEAR they won their awards. You did some good research on his actions in Texas. Heaven only knows how much more incompetent of an owner he is across the board. We should know in Denver: Dick Monfort owns the Rockies.
don't forget fucking up Arsenal FC.
DA Champs of Mile High Oh I have more. Here in Europe he turned Arsenal FC from one of the biggest teams in England that went the whole season unbeaten for a whole season (something that has never and probably will never be done again in top flight English football) and one of the premier teams in Europe. Into a mediocre team that gets hammered in Europe every year, including this year where they lost 10-2 on aggregate to Bayern Muinich a team that Kronke said that they'd competing with right now when they moved stadiums (I'll move onto that in a minute) that would be the equivalent of the Spurs getting swept by Warriors and losing every game by 40 points. Kronke moved stadiums from Highbury ( an historic ground with a great atmosphere and Arsenals home for over 100 years) to the Emirates which is an ok ground but certainly a lot less atmospheric. Kronke did this to make more money out of ticket sales which he said would win them more trophies. Not only would ticket sales become less financially important as time went on but Arsenal went 9 YEARS without a trophy! In that period Arsenal would sell their best players to their rivals in England, refuse to spend money on players that could win them trophies thanks to sponsorship deals that fucked them up the ass until 2014. And when they were able to get out of those deals they bought two marquise signings that were 1: Mesut Ozil a player who has been brilliant at times but refuses to show up in big games and 2: Alexi Sanchez a brilliant player who seemingly gave up halfway though this season once he realised that he was better than the entire team. And if that wasn't enough last season they chocked the title to Leister a team that nearly got relegated the season before and this season finished below bitter rivals Tottenham for the first time in 22 years AND just this day they finished outside the top 4 meaning that they won't play in the champions league next season which also means that their two best players from earlier will leave. So yeah that's pretty fucked
DA Champs of Mile High nah Ujiri actually abandoned the nuggets...and just like Carmelo when you abandon Denver it's all down hill from there (because you run into Lebron)
DA Champs of Mile High , me and you. Friends!
And the hunting channel that he created allowing some psychopaths completely decimate the endangered species list.

One thing you forgot about the Rams:
Kroenke, during the last season in St. Louis, *openly admitted* he was glad the team went on a losing streak, claiming it left more room to focus on other situations (and he all but admitted he didn't want to worry about paying players for the playoffs).
To clarify again- he was GLAD HIS TEAM WAS LOSING. People claim Georgia Frontiere wasn't a good owner, especially during the original move from LA, but Kroenke might be worse.

Turns out to fix the team all they needed was an energetic coach who loves the game. Tree couldn't have predicted them hiring a young offensive coordinator can turn the franchise around so quickly. Still, the Rams are still strangers in LA. Without resorting to not selling tickets to 49ers fans, they wouldn't have had home advantage during the Conference Championship. With other NFC teams beefing up for the near future, following their exact model, the success might not last a decade, but for Kroenke, it is still more than what he deserves.
It was still jarring seeing Kroenke lifting the Lombardi.
I just think that Jared Goff is too good right now.

That's a simple answer. Since 2001...
They've done jack shit.
Stsn is so incompetent to the point where he can't manage a team to save his own life
TheDemonDeuce his son Josh is "owner" of the Nuggets, Avs, Rapids, etc. (except the Rams)
Wow I remember reading the story about him forcing the homeowners out to expand his ranch but Jesus I didn't know that drove one of them to suicide! That's just f****** awful man
I was curious about the ranch story so I did some reading on it. The residents had an interesting arrangement where they rented the land from Waggoner Ranch, but owned their house (the building). Eminent domain wasn't used, the ranch put itself up for sale and Kroenke bought it. The tragedy of what happened is on both the seller and buyer for being greedy. The ranch could have included in it's terms when it sold that the land leases would be protected to the end of the renter's life and rent increases would be capped. Or it could've parceled out the rental plots to the residents and sold it back to them. Both of those would've lowered the sale price of the ranch (which is why they didn't do it), but it would've protected the residents.
Kroenke for his part could've showed a lot more humanity, especially with his vast financial resources. He was in his rights to decline to renew the leases, but showing some compassion for the residents by offering financial assistance or compensation would've gone a long way. Legally what happens when you own the house but not the land is that you're responsible for moving the house elsewhere, but a lot of the houses weren't designed to be moved, so they were abandoned. After they left, Kroenke bulldozed them to return the land to its natural state.
On some level, I guess you could say the residents were taking on this risk by buying a house where they had to lease the land each year. But the ranch had been doing it since the 19th Century, so I can understand how residents felt some security in what is an on-paper very insecure form of housing.
But yeah, if the ranch was willing to accept a lower sales price or if Kroenke wasn't such an ***, these people's lives wouldn't have been thrown into a crisis.
Whoelse is here after the Rams beat the 49ers in the NFC Championship

the name Kroenke sounds like a cartoon villain-
2021 Playoffs Summary:
Week 18: You lose to the 49ers as they clinch a playoff spot and comeback from a 14-point deficit from halftime. It's not all bad though, the Seahawks ended up beating the Cardinals, granting you the division. You also get to play Arizona in a very exciting matchup.
Wild Card: You end up absolutely creaming the Cardinals. Kyler Murray was no where to be found as they find another incredible way to collapse in the second half of the season... again. The rest of the NFL has a hearty laugh at Arizona's demise.
Divisional Round, Quarters 1-3: You are up by 27-3 in the Second Half and very little signs of stopping. It will take a incredible collapse to blow this one.
Quarter 4: HOLY CRAP YOU JUST BLEW A 27-3 LEAD. CAM AKERS HAS COME OFF THE INJURY LIST AND NOW CANNOT HOLD A FOOTBALL. TOM BRADY IS ABOUT TO DO IT AGAIN ISN'T HE. *YOU BLEW IT!!!*
Cooper Kupp: HERE I COME TO SAVE THE DAY...
Divisional Round: The high end talent ends up carrying the team from an almost inevitable collapse. You're going to the NFC Championship against a team who has bested you many times: the 49ers.
NFC Championship, Quarters 1-3: Looks like your Northern brother will go to the Super Bowl once again as their fanbase has invaded your house. You are losing 20-10 at the start of the 4th quarter.
NFC Championship, Quarter 4: Not only does Cooper Kupp bail you out from certain defeat once again, you also get bailed out by Jaquaski Tartt as he dropped a gimme interception after Stafford went to go-get-it mode once again. The 49ers fanbase (including myself) will now feel agonizing pain not seen since, about a 2 years ago. You're going to the super bowl in your own backyard against the Bengals.
Before Super Bowl 56: The Bengals are big fan-favorite but you are respectable in your own way. You have guys like Matthew Stafford, OBJ, and Aaron
Donald who all but deserves Super Bowl glory. Your defensive line will wreck havoc against Joe Burrow. You can do this. By the way, what's up with your good luck sendoff?
Super Bowl 56: As once said, that defensive line wrecked havoc on Joe Burrow. Also Eli Apple is the child of Cooper Kupp, finishing off a legendary season for him. Your star players have won the super bowl, too bad your city does not give a crap about their team with the parade.
Rams finally won it all. I’m so happy tonight.
In all seriousness though, I feel bad for the Ellis family. 🙏
I really like your videos. You really dig deep into the team by going into the management and the owners. Kronke is the most evil man in sports ownership. No owner ever was responsible for someone committing suicide, right?
This video has somehow both aged perfectly and aged poorly at the same time.
The Rams are a damn good team but not championship contenders yet. Like the Avalanche.
then again...this video was 5 years ago...so it aged well then, not so now.
Well, it aged poorly when the Rams went to Super Bowl LIII and aged well again when the Rams suffered the Super Bowl hangover for a few seasons, and it went back to aging poorly following the Rams winning Super Bowl LVI.
Sounds like he’s talking about Arsenal football club
Stan Kronke's going world wide with his evil empire!
The blues scored more than the rams did in their championship game 😂😂😂
nice
Is anyone else watching this in 2017-2018 when Jared Goff is actually decent and Jeff Fischer is not the coach and the rams went to the playoffs
Fisher was INSTRUCTED by Stan himself to tank the team so they could bargain for a move.
This video needs to be in the archived. Cause the rams are doing good!
Derek Deford they lost and the game against the Saints was handed to them.Bribery?
Probably because as a matter of fact and correct me if i’m wrong but his wife is Sam Walton’s daughter.Who is she?
Meh,no one in particular just
the owner of friggin’ Walmart!!!!!!
Eliminated from the playoffs. Enjoy cap space hell and no first round pick, Kroenke.
Puts a grin on my face. I used to support the Rams, until all that shit Kroneke pulled. Fuck Kroneke and fuck the Rams.
My dad is from Southern California, and he would rather support the Chargers, who's fan base is practically non-existent
Super Bowl champs even with cap hell
L
And now the Rams are Super Bowl 56 champs
Superbowl bound, let's see what they do
Are you sure that they even played in the Super Bowl? 😂
They GOOFED off period!
Conglatuations Rams!
Chokes
Narrator voice: They did nothing.
No shit guys, I'm not even American, so I dont have a massive erection for handball.
i miss going to rams games with my dad every week.
probably my favorite match in years was the 2015 season opener against seattle. it looked like the guys were playing like an actual team. the rams somehow managed to win 34-31 in OT. everyone in the stadium was electric, and it was such a blast. the following week, the rams lost to the redskins 24-10. i sure damn miss the st louis lambs.. i mean rams
yung turps now their LA lambs
the funniest channel on youtube for any sportsfan. I don't follow football at all, i'm a hockey guy but the football basketball etc videos are still hilarious even if i only understand parts of what's being talked about!!
Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy for Stafford, OBJ, Ramsay, Donald, Kupp, etc but this man didn’t deserve success or happiness. Or a Lombardi. Yuck.
