Conspiracy theory: Jenny set Iago animatronic on fire. She wanted the Enchanted Tiki Room returned to its former glory. The problem is, she's the only one who still brings up the fire, because she wants to vicariously be a part of Disney history and wants to perpetuate it.

Fun fact: My Mom scared the crap out of a Knotts Berry worker innocently sitting in the dark monitoring the ride. When we found ourselves on a slow-paced, relatively dull ride, we'd entertain ourselves by pointing out bits of scenery and screaming. Mom turns and points at a shadow and screams, and the shadow jumps out of his skin, in turn scaring the crap out of us...

I think the obvious ride to movie is Kilimanjaro Safaris. A safari of people from all different backgrounds, and they don't get along. They bond after meeting two elephants, Big Red and Little Red. Eventually Big Red is killed by poachers and Little Red is kidnaped. The safari crew decides to work together to rescue Little Red.
As a disnerd this is the best! Retrocot's 80s futurism would make a super interesting film backdrop
Thunder mountain is the film we deserve and need right now.

In PotC I always thought James Norrington was going to become James Hook. All the movies have been about people choosing to do the wrong thing for the right reason or vice versa which eventually leads almost everyone to becoming a pirate. It only made sense that Norrington was on his way to being the most notorious and feared pirate ever. But sure... just needlessly kill him. That makes sense.
FYI Screen Junkies I only watch this segment on your channel so I'm gone til Millennial Falcon returns. Just sayin

I liked the Innerspace ride. The illusion really worked for me as a kid. While you were waiting in line you could see people on the ride shrink as they passed by a window in the giant microscope.
With the success of the MCU, Disney should team up with perhaps Apple, Google, and others to actually do a Stark Expo. Promoting better living through technology and green initiatives. Really go for it too. Science scholarships and other awards could even be included.

Disney has already done a theme park based on technology, the future and "farming" (green), it was called Epcot and it was fun while it lasted in that form.
I'm not talking about a park. I'm saying an event. Like the old school World's Fair. We have so much division in the world right now that something on this scale that already has a massive following (the MCU) could actually bridge some of the divides. Hi-lighting new technologies and bringing ideas together in this form from around the world. Pair up emerging technologies with Disney showmanship to get people excited about the future and what can be accomplished.
Umm, so you didn't even google "Epcot". It was (and sometimes still is) billed as "A permanent world's fair". Not saying that you don't have a good idea, just that it has been done (The World's Fairs themselves), and that it is still being done, by Disney itself.
Fair that is true, but it was being done in a watered down version. Though to be fair, I haven't been there in more than two decades so maybe they had updated it a bit. Partnering up with some major companies and hi-lighting new and emergent technologies would still be a bright point, and dressing it up around an MCU themed Stark Expo would capitalize on a bit of the popular culture to have added draw. Coupled with grants and scholarships, you could have a real Worlds Fair.
my general grievances....the show is toooo short, hour long coverage is what the internet wants and there's one emoji to describe the season 1 post break....a :-( but i enjoyed this segment every Sunday morning, I hope Jenny gets more love in the SJ network! have a great break and we'll hope to see you soon!
I think it's good as it is. I wouldn't watch if it were 1 hour long. That's too much.

A Phantom Manor film would be awesome, but it's basically just a darker version of the Haunted Mansion, which already has a film.
It's not really darker, it's supposed to be less scary.
No idea where you've been looking, but I can assure you it's not. One uses the phrase 'happy haunts', the other involves a Phantom hanging a bride's groom from rafters. Even the facade of the Manor is made to look much more dark and decrepit than the Haunted Mansions.

I thought Phantom Manor was darker too. I've been a couple of times before and going again in November. But I felt like the most recent Pirates movie was adequately dark for a kids movie. Any haunted mansion or phantom manor movie could be just as dark

The "Yeti City" thing seems more like HP Lovecraft's "At the mountains of madness" than Rendezvous with Rama to me...servant race takes over the ancient city is basically the story of the Ancient Race and the Shoggoths.
After binging this whole show, I'm so happy I found Jenny. She's so akwardly hilarious, it's cute. I love that I can watch this show and laugh since most talk shows usually put me to sleep.
