    Mahdi, this version is SO beautiful and smooth. Most people don't realize how many hundreds or even thousands of hours can go into (re)designing a trick that looks so clean and simple when a professional does it, but is actually quite a feat when you have to actually sit down and dedicate time to making it work AND make it look good for spectators. Thank you sir for sharing your talent.

    The first time I seen this trick was on world's greatest magic part 2 by a one-handed magician René Valand. I put the tape on slow motion to learn how the trick was done. Practiced and practiced until I mastered it still one of my favorite tricks I do. My favorite way to do the trick was the second method you did in this video. Very good technique impressive.

    Normally I can't figure out how tricks are done. And it frustrates me. This is the first time I figured out how it was done and the first time a magic trick has given me the inspiration to actually learn magic. I feel like I'm magic right now since pen and Teller could not figure it out but i could. For the first time, I think I could actually do magic. With that said besides the vocal magic you do, the main bit of magic you do is still not an easy thing to pull off perfectly each time. Takes practice. So well done. I love this trick.

  • @Muck006
    @Muck006 Před 2 lety +1

    This is one of the most brilliant tricks ever ... because it is "simple" due to the low number of cards ... which mostly stay togehther in one group. There are also no sleeves to distract or work as a tool either ...

  • @ComfyBe
    @ComfyBe Před 2 lety

    They say the hand is quicker than the eye. Well Mahdi is just as adept, he can manipulate those cards as if he had ten fingers. If you slow down the action and watch closely you can see how he does it. The key is how Mahdi interchanges one red card with one black one.
    I must say, he's very smooth and clean, and there's nothing rough about it. Well done.

    I think it all happens between 0:36 and 0:42. He orders the cards as follows on the table (where * indicates the card is (or was) not shown): RED, BLACK*, RED, BLACK, RED*, BLACK. To me this means the cards are already in the correct order when he does that. I can only guess a very delicate way to apply pressure on the cards in order to spread them in the right order. Fascinating to watch! :-)

    • @joshuaamadeusishak1887
      @joshuaamadeusishak1887 Před 4 měsíci

      Yeah, when he split the cards the first time after stacking them in a criss cross manner which i believed was the key to this trick. Both stacks was already arranged set for the trick by the criss crossing stacking. The one on his left have two blacks on the very bottom and one red on the top of the stack face down The right stack have two reds on top and one black on the very bottom face down. So, when he placed the second card from the stack on his left, we all assumed that th btop card was a black card especially since we saw the first card on that stack and then the second one after he placed the remaining two cards after placing that second card. But, the second card was actually a red card which was placed on tip of the left stack. In order to not reveal the trick, he didn't show the second card and the fifth card since we would know that the cards have been swapped before he put them on top of each other face down.
      The second attempt was much easier to figure out. When he separate the cards at 1:27, he dropped a black card face down, making us to take his word when he said the color red. The remaining cards would be two blacks and one red which is at the bottom one and the only one which stays face down on that side until the reveal of the magic.

    I won't say how it is done but notice that the last 2 cards the 2nd time around be doesn't show before putting them in order. Basically, it really is a sleight of hand if you will. That's all I will say.
    Take note on the second attempt that during the final layout, he does not show the top red card a all face up nor the last black card but he does show the other 4. Watch the video at 0.25 speed and you will see where the switcheroo takes place.
