I’m not a ball python morph guy but that one Justin showed you that was yellow and black was incredible. And it reminding of a jungle carpet was my immediate thought when I first saw it too. If going to European expos is going to become a thing with you Dav you need to have some kind of award for them. Maybe not a rattle on award but something similar. I think that would be cool.

Hi Dav.Greetings from a former (but still passionate about the animals) reptile keeper from the UK.Just wanted to say how much I've enjoyed watching your videos.Quick question have you ever considered visiting Crocodiles Of The World in Oxfordshire UK. It's well worth a visit. In fact I'm going there today for a couple of animal experiences one feeding Nile Crocodiles and getting up close and personal with a Komodo Dragon. I'm beyond excited.
Thank you for this great trip to European expo. The neon yellow and black snake is truly remarkable, and my selection for most beautiful snake had the heterozygous clown pattern.
With the Reco morph - it seems to be linked to the sex chromosome, so it is a recessive gene, but males only have one copy of it (I believe ball pythons are xy like humans), on their single x chromosome, leading to expression (same reason red green colorblindness is so common in men as compared with women), while it needs to be on both x chromosomes for a female to express it. That would be my initial guess based on your conversation.
You should defenitely visit the Houten reptile expo (terraria Houten) in the Netherlands. Its way bigger then this one and its been around for years! :D

Walt Disney is said to have gotten his inspiration from the Efteling. It is so immersive and great, and has some creepy elements.
Reco is probably two genes running together. Wouldn't be the first time since Ken macek got a wild import that ended up being xtreme gene, xtremist, and het tristripe. Often the simplest explanation is the right one
i am very close to actually owning my first ball python. I have been keeping reptiles since the mid 90s and haven't owned a ball yet owned 100s of reptiles. I am thinking albino pieds will behe first but that rico gene would have me right away just because of how it acts not even the color change
Thought there where a bunch of garter people there . i know they have the San Franco garter there . wes hoping to see some garters . i got mine from there from stephen bol he is a top grater expert in the world . if you have any way i would love to see anything garter over there .
Yes they can be named Poor mans Black Dragons because you know not everyone can afford a Black Monitor Dragon. It’s ingenious think about how many could be sold in compassion to black monitors .😊

Hello! what do you use to edit your videos? i just started my reptile channel and i watch all of you guys lol, Wickens, Reptiliatus, Snake Discovery, Mike Tytula, Dav Kaufman, Cataleah, Kayla Roach... Evvverryyone and im really trying to follow in your footsteps lol. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
Reco gene could be a sex gene where if you have two copies of the gene I.E XX then the phenotype is canceled out but if you only have one x X gene I.E. you are XY then it isn’t canceled out. This is the only way that makes sense to me.
I currently have copper my collection I picked up from the only person in Canada that has one I'm currently the second that he knows of because I got them from him and it's a morph that originated from Germany it's like mahogany but better

Honestly, what made banana so confusing was that it didn't act like this. This is the pattern I'm used to when it comes to sex-linked traits.

European expos are the best. They're happy to smuggle everything from everywhere, so they always have all kinds of stuff.
