- The man accused of pushing a DART passenger onto the tracks confessed to FOX 4 from jail.
Anthony Davis is charged with aggravated assault.
The incident happened last Monday night at the Morell Station near the Dallas Zoo.
Davis tells FOX 4 he was under the influence of alcohol and marijuana at the time. He claims the man he assaulted was arguing with a DART attendant. He says he didn't like the way the man was speaking to the woman, so he intervened by assaulting him.
Davis says he now regrets his actions.
"I'm sorry man. I can't. I know things can't get better, but hopefully things can get fixed,” he said. “I just wish I wasn't under the influence of alcohol and I wish I cared at the moment and cared for the guy."
Firefighters had to use special equipment to free the man trapped under the train. He is still recovering from his injuries in the hospital.
Davis tells FOX 4 he is ready to face the consequences.
FOX 4 News is a FOX-owned station serving Dallas-Fort Worth and all of North Texas.
Never talk without a lawyer
LIKE I HAVE SAID BEFORE NOT EVERYONE CAN AFFORD A LAWYER SMH HE MOST LIKELY GOT A PUBLIC DEFENDER
Man why did he just get violent instead of talking seeing how he wasn't even in the conversation. He threw his life away in a split second
Exactly
What marijuana do they be smoking? Pushing someone under a train??? Come on dude.... really
You think he knew where the person would land ...? Wth no !!! He did push him but wasn’t sure where he land
K2
I know I thought he was gonna say crash or something! But Marijuana?? Really?
@@kryztynagil5328 he said it wasn't the weed it was the alcohol that made him assault the man....
Alcohol. He said it WASN'T the weed but the alcohol played the part in his actions. And alcohol can make people do horrible things, I sometimes think it's worse than hard drugs
I’m 37 years sober now, I’m so thankful God intervened on my behalf and revealed himself to me. Alcohol ruined the whole first half of my life until I was 38 years old.. ruined every relationship I’ve ever had, ruined my relationship with my children. However after I got saved I went all my family members and apologized , and asked for the forgiveness and they all forgave me , so the second half of my life is so much better now... there’s no more crucial moment in a persons life , then when he or she is encountered by God that moment sets in motion the rest of one’s life...🙏
May God bless and protect you my friend

What an absolute tragedy. I offer the victim's family my sincere condolences.
Should've just minded your own business you wouldn't be given this interview
Thank you!!!
Why yall mad he told the TRUTH 🤔.... He was HONEST on purpose 🤦🏾🤦🏾.
100%
Don’t do these news interviews. Guilty or innocent. Don’t do them.
Common sense isn't Common amongst criminals
Exactly smh digging they own hole give the state they whole case 🤦🏾♂️ then wanna blame it on weed🤷🏾♂️
he knows he guility and just wanted time out his cell lol
Seems extremely uneducated....sad
Idk why ppl do them. To tell the story ur admitting ur guilt. Smh
The face tattoos always clue me in to the fact that the person is slightly off if not totally crazy. Theory never fails
Tell that to the tribes who wear them. Or you’re a judge?
Man I was just saying that . I feel like anyone who would draw on they face with a needle 💉 is a lil off frfr
Yep if you pay attention when they have tattoos on there fase and neck white and black folks most of the time they will be behind bars saying they didn't do it
So you were high and drunk and going to check on an application? Yeah okay 😂🤣
Oh my.. what a dummy. And the reporter got him to confess.....
anyways, the victim didn’t die, so it won’t be too long of a sentence
He out

U GOT HEART BROTHER KEEP THE FAITH THIS IS A LEARNING LESSON YOU WILL BE FREE AGAIN NOW LEARN FROM THIS
Lets hope he never is released. He took a life. His should be over as well. No sympathy for stupid decisions.
💪🫡🏁💯
Whether the prosecution responds fairly or not, this man is being accountable.
He’s more concerned w the man and his family than his consequences. I have to respect him for that.
Some people have hard times in life and this interview just made him look bad. If you knew him it would look different. This is my brother and I'm not saying he is good, but i knew his hard times. Nothing he has done has an excuse, but speaking down and judging him makes you no better. We all make mistakes. Its for you to understand your mistakes and better yourself after taking responsibility of what you did.
Tuco Malatesta Listen to this video I did called GET READY TO PAY because you will
Is your brother out? If not I’d like to write him
@@levetteford4919 He is not.
i can tell hes not a bad guy
Thankyou Abbie. When I read these comments it just goes to show how there is no love in this world. No compassion. Now what your brother did is inexcusable and he should be punished for his actions but if you have a heart and been through hard times yourself you can tell when someone knows there in the wrong. N this man does. God bless both families
I’m a alcoholic in recovery 15 years now Iv done drugs not now I hv never killed anyone even in anger never
Another guy giving the prosecution a whole lot to work with
He's thinking about what he did all the time. And realizing it was for nothing at all ...the rest of his life gone.
i was locked up with him after this interview in dallas county west tower , he is kinda slow and he was suicidal in there and he got like 5 packs of poptarts stolen from him lmao
Is he still in there?
lol Josh be nice , he isn't jail material he's a mental intuition material.
You seem slow as well… and soft.
Looool that's hilarious, I would of stole off him too eve though I had mines, punk
I think he is remorseful. I also think he is suicidal.
Whoooo is the attorney 🙄??? Why are they allowing public interviews before trial??? The reporters are asking the most mundane questions😳😳😳 I hope the victim made a full recovery. He seems to have remorse and takes accountability, I respect that.
Ppls always look at a good thing like this as bad. Clearly this man is ready to accept his consequences. He isn't trying to run or hide from what he did. Which ignorance will never understand. Looking at him he regrets what he did. Him talking trying to educate others. To learn from his mistake is a good thing. I hope he gets the help he needs. That the victim recovers well from the injuries. This interview is one of the most important ones I've seen. The lesson in it for others to learn from. The fact he is remorseful and accepting his fate. Is what a victim wants to see. From someone whose hurt them.
🙏
Exactly 💯 💯
Wtf
LACK OF EDUCATION, LOVE, MORALS, RESPECT, DISCIPLINE, GUIDANCE, LACK OF PARENTS! THIS IS THE OUTCOME OF IT💯
No it was a FIGHT and a ACCIDENT tf... U sound crazy. U know NOTHING about his upbringing... I had a great childhood went to church.. BOTH parents in household.. An guess wat ive still gotten in fights... My sister ESPECIALLY wen she DRINKS. An guess wat its LEGAL. Blame the government.. Dont insult his parents. The fact that he was HONEST says they taught him GREAT morals... Idk about yours tho 🤦🏾🤦🏾.
That’s why it’s so important to pray especially for this generation mane
wtf is this dude talking about it looks like he wanna say something he just cant find the words to express how he feel but i can tell through his body language
It's obvious he wants to say something but he can't....he's crying for help but he can't speak on it because he's already in jail..... politics ppl.....
You can tell he ain't mean to kill the man,, it just happened like that. The alcohol took over in that split second
i dont think he died... which is crazy
The man didn’t die
Sometimes u gotta mind ur own business if it ain't got nothing to do with you because someone else shi will become ur problem
You can have a more intelligent discussion with a 2 year old, than you can with this guy.
He has a palsy like shake if you look closely.....you never know what is really going on with people by a quick summary judgment. Whatever his issues are, he was remorseful and held himself accountable
@@pambeforethestorm9784 I didn't question any of that. I only gave my interpretation of his intelligence.
@@kylereese4542 fair enough 💯
I wish I could hear the questions
Sad
If the prosecution uses this, a good attorney can get it all thrown out.
Alex Grady u have no felony convictions I’m guessing!

A real good question would be: "why the hell do you have tattoos on your face? He's got a "Ah-ca-ha" problem. My "complexion of the case is bad"! "too much ah-ca-ha"!
His tattoos are a mystery
This what happens when you use drugs and alcohol it is so sad for him and the family of that man I think you shouldn't did the interview because what he say will be used against them in a court of law may God have mercy on his soul these drugs is killing all young men are young women all we can do is pray my family goes out to his family and a victim's family as well
Maybe alcohol but pot doesn't make people aggressive.
Hopefully the victim made a full recovery...I pray for them all
Parody from Menace to Society interrogation scene right here.
People can’t wait to tell their side of the story even when they are warned not to , when the Miranda rights are read to them...it’s just plain crazy 😜 how the mind works...
Despite the warning that the Miranda rights expresses, human nature is to defend yourself. People tend to believe that if they are simply HEARD...?they can explain themselves, and walk out of the precinct. Little do they know, once an officer tells you "You're under arrest", there Is NOTHING you can say, to change that!!! Nothing!
Don’t blame alcohol I’m a alcoholic in recovery 15 years now when I drink alcohol icky I was of my head but but never harm anyone physcical it has to be in u that aggression I believe x
The occasion happened 🥴
These guys get in front of a camera and tell on they self flat, no defence now
He pushed buddy after snatching his 4for4 Wendy's bag. Buddy do look hungry asf
It's the alcohol not the pot.
Akahaow
If HE was the victim, this would be called a hate-crime.
so
The Victim Was Mexican And Didnt Die, Just 2 Broken Legs
@@xxdarkskinbeauty5205 because he's Mexican it can't be a hate crime? What if he hated Mexicans? (Honest question because I don't know that law.)
@@evildeadmitch : I'm Said This Because I'm Sure They Assumed The Victim Was White, Not A Minority. And It Can Most Definitely Be A Hate Crime
@@xxdarkskinbeauty5205 Thank You. :)

Oxygen thief
That the Prison Song movies "Script"
Lol yep
smh i hate the media an the court system.. pled the 5th an never put anything on camera unless its the media or goverment
Why do these guys talk to the news when anything u say can and will be used against u in a court of law hence court of law u guys talk to anyone who's not ur lawyer
Ok I'm from the south ...How do a person gets pushed "under" a train and not die ??? I don't get it .
hard to resist that "killer" gene.
The Victim Didn't Die, The Train Broke His Legs
Alcohol is one of the WORST drugs and it’s legal. WTH?!
He act like he still high
Advice.....don't disrespect the conductor on the train aha
You just confessed to crime homey, good luck
Free lil ant
you say you stuck up for the woman at the station , but you didn't stick up for all of the women in the victims family by killing this man.
This interview was wack. The line of questioning was wack. His answers were wack. Terrible follow up questions. A seasoned journalist conducted the interview?
unm... he said he drank and he smoke Marijuana and... he was on his way to check his application?? am I the only having trouble to understand it?? hmm...
GOOD POINT ...HE LYING
Worse hero complex of all-time
This should be treated as a "Attempted Murder Hate Crime"!
Aggravated assault actually holds a higher punishment than attempted murder in Dallas county.
Listen to this video I did called GET READY TO PAY because you will
Bozo
Stay out of folk business and you might stay out of jail
Lock him up and throw away the key. What a loss to society he isn't.
Be careful
He said good luck nooo u need the luck my friend
The punishment should fit the crime- let them checj the train’s undercarriage- the amount of lektwicity on da track- etc
Keep on thuggin
You know a mf guilty when you ask “What exactly happened “ and their response makes no common sense just lends to more questions 🙄
Why say anything to incriminate yourself in the first place?
The herb he was smoking was k2 or spice
he was under the influence of ALKAHALL
Caption save’em strikes again
Really bad audio
Damn u could see the pain in his eyes when he said he hadn’t talked to his family since this happened to him. I bet His dad abused his mom or something similar so when he saw him treating her bad it set that off
Dear stupid he who wrote this I'm his dad my son was never abused had everything he wanted but chose the streets he really didn't have to check on a application he just needed to start doing the rite thing again my paper stretched out sorry to victims family the Man is ok but my son's good
