My brother was in a similar situation years ago he got into a fight with a guy and even though he won the guys he was with jumped and after the fight and the guy almost died my brother sat in jail for a year because he didn't call the police right away and my brother's case it was he was 19 they thought of it as just a fight but he didn't want the two other guys to jump in and this dude's case it sounds like he legitimately has some fear of repercussions and being called a snitch.

Quick google shows they had video - While at Wawa, detectives watched the store’s surveillance video, Mitchell said. The footage showed Stiglets getting into her car and two men coming up to her. One confronts her while the other hovers around her car on his bike, “as if he is watching out.” LOL he didnt know, but they both went up to her car with a gun? Give her roses maybe? He might not have known she would get shot, but he fully intended to rob her that is a fact.
This person was charged because he is the center of the entire case. He is the best witness with all the facts of the incident. The prosecutor wants to ensure this defendant doesn't back out or refuse to testify at trial. They need to prove who the shooter was (the other defendant) and force the other defendant to take a guilty or plea bargain.

My brother was in a similar situation years ago he got into a fight with a guy and even though he won the guys he was with jumped and after the fight and the guy almost died my brother sat in jail for a year because he didn't call the police right away and my brother's case it was he was 19 they thought of it as just a fight but he didn't want the two other guys to jump in and this dude's case it sounds like he legitimately has some fear of repercussions and being called a snitch.

BUT WE PULLED OUT THE PARKING LOT WE SAW THE GUYS TALKING BUT NOTHING SEEMED OUT OF NORM. WE DIDN'T SEE HER GET HURT WE DID SEE THE GUY WALK UP TO HER AS WE WAS AT THE LIGHT BUT THEN WE TURNED AT THE LIGHT. WHEN WE GOT BACK TO THE HOUSE THATS WHEN SOMEONE CALLED US AND SAID THERE WAS A SHOOTING AT WAWA. WE BOTH WENT BACK TO WAWA AND POLICE WAS EVERYWHERE. BUT WE DIDN'T KNOW IT WAS THE LADY THAT WAS HURT UNTIL WE SAW HER CAR ON THE SIDE STILL PARKED AND TAPED OFF. WE LATER FOUND OUT SHE WAS PRONOUNCED AT THE HOSPITAL FROM THE SCENE. WE CRIED FOR THE FAMILY AND OUR PRAYERS GO STRONGLY OUT TO HER FAMILY.

It's sad to say but he probably wound up being convicted of the murder just for being there and not calling police after the fact.. So many people have been convicted and sent away for decades just for being present during a murder, even if they didn't know it was going to go down, the system is not perfect and thats why in against the death penalty, unless for circumstances where its without a shadow of a doubt, like red handed situations

This person was charged because he is the center of the entire case. He is the best witness with all the facts of the incident. The prosecutor wants to ensure this defendant doesn't back out or refuse to testify at trial. They need to prove who the shooter was (the other defendant) and force the other defendant to take a guilty or plea bargain.
