Would love if you continue! The monster was design by Tim himself. The lady who gave Wednesday the flower was Christina Ricci who played movie version of Wednesday. Thing is actually an actor's hand not CGI, he just wore a blue screen suit so only his hand would show.
The bits where Thing is walking, is actually a puppet.
Luis Guzmán as Gomes Addams resembles more the original version (from the cartoons) and the 70/90's animation. It's pretty accurate.
but he and Catherine Zeta-Jones have no chemistry whatsoever
See I've heard people say that but I really don't feel like he looks anything like any of the Gomezs of the animations or the comics. I don't think his personality is anything like Gomez either. But I do feel like he improved more in ep 5 when he was talking to Wednesday in prison.
he may look like him but idk i'm just not feeling his acting and the chemistry with Morticia is not great 🤷🏻♀️

I understand why people may be suspect of the monster’s animation, but I personally really like how weird it looks. It’s a good combination of funny, creepy, and unsettling.

I grew up watching Christina Ricci's take on Wednesday Adams so I wasn't sure what to expect but when I heard Jenna Ortega got the role, I knew we'd be in for something special. She's incredible!
I knew Jenna Ortega as Kid Jane-the-Virgin so if I knew _she_ was the new Wednesday I wouldn't have been like:"Oh,yes,she's clearely perfect for the role!!🤩🖤"I was convinced by the trailer. I didn't recognize Kid Jane,but when watching I was like:"Mh-mh...ok...she convinces me so far...let's hope she will in the actual series too...🤞"and she surely did!😎🖤
You absolutely have to continue with this. Jenna Ortega as Wednesday is perfection, & they threw in so many nods to the original show & movies for long time fans to recognize & enjoy.

The cellos version of Paint it black is absolutely great. I don't know if Jenna Ortega play herself or not, but it's great. She also does a wonderful job with Wednesday.

After the variations of Gomez seen on TV and in film it is understandable to be thrown by this one, but he really is an amazing match to the OG version in the comic strips.

I am watching this show because I love Wednesday my favorite character from the Addams family and I relate to her,I love Jenna Ortega such an amazing talented gorgeous actress ,she is so perfect for this role she is nailing it.
I haven't finished watching this show like I'm watching it with my older sister and we stopped in-between episode 5 like it taking awhile to finish the show cause my sister has alot of university work and goes out with her friends and the only time we can watch together just us to with no distractions and disruption is at night so yeah.
Can't wait to watch the rest of then I shall come back here to your channel and watch your reaction to the series.

The best part of the series is it's a continuation of Wednesday as a growing, maturing person. Lisa Loring was childhood Wednesday, full of that mix of innocence and morbidity. Christina Ricci beautifully aged her into adolescence, a little less innocent and beginning to forge her identity. Jenna Ortega's pure ownership of her in her teen years is perfect, allowing for those cracks in her dark shell that show she's not just a caricature but a many faceted character. Each actress is the OG Wednesday, and perfect for the age they represent.

Jenna took cello and fencing lessons for the role
I remember being around 2017, in the winter, there was a huge snowfall that day and schools, work and everything was cancelled. My aunt invited me to a sleepover at her house, and the mattress I slept on was in the living-room, under the Christmas tree. I remember we were waiting for dinner to be ready and decided to check what was on TV. A show we never saw before came out, about a huge family who had various children, and the girl (the middle child) was the main character. We liked it so much that we wrote down the name of the show "Stuck in the Middle" and never missed it from that day on.
Jenna literally accompanied me through my teenage years, and I remember being so amazed by her performance. She truly deserves everything that's happening to her right now, and I'm glad that finally, people are taking her more seriously in the industry and are appreciating her talent.

The Cgi on the monster got a similar initial reaction out of me but after seeing the whole season I think it may just be an unfortunate side effect of the deliberate creature design.

Yes, that's the knight from GoT. With her height, she's been stuck in "tough broad" roles; a female Star Wars Stormtrooper, for example. She has said that playing Principal Weems was the first time she's ever been able to feel beautiful on camera. Kinda sad, but I'm glad for her that she got to play this elegant, imposing woman. May she have more such opportinities in the future.
Jenna is 5'1".. Hence the platform shoes to NOT make her look like a lost pre-schooler.. 😋 Gomez' look is pretty close to the original newspaper comic. It's completely shot in Romania. The beautiful "set" is actually an existing castle in Romania with the little turrets and roofs replaced by CGI. They even went as far as building a complete cosy little " American" town in Romania, complete with working, cosy coffee shop and some other shop interiors. Some interior sets are in other castles in Romania, f.i. the set where Wednesday got her arse handed to her in fencing.
Oh, and 'Thing' is actually the hand of a professional magician, the rest of him covered in a blue onesie, so there ìs CGI involved, be it in a different way than you'd think
The shoes she is wearing are called Doc Martin's. They are an iconic Goth footwear. You might have noticed that Pauley Perrette's character, Abby Shuto, on NCIS wore them as well.

Afa Docs go, I'm an old geezer. I owned several pairs of Doc Martins when they still were the claimed territory of skin-heads and ageing Teddyboys. I was there when Goth' in the 80's suddenly exploded for the first time as a weird side-branch mixture of New-Wave and college Punk, and the most peculiar platform shoes, laden with buckles an stuff, filled the racks in the " It" shops, together with lace dresses and valet-jackets with high collars (in black, of course.. :P ).. then it waned for a bit.. went out of sight, out of 'vogue'.(shame, because I kinda liked it, though a hard-core punk myself, complete with safety pin piercings through my cheeks and purple and green hairs.. 😋 ). But I wouldn't be too surprised if Goth would make a full-on come-back, jùst because of this series. I would love to see many younglings picking-up where it left off. Goths were always só artsy and creative.
